Idk if it's just me, but recently i've noticed CN has stepped up their game recently, and most of the shows aired on regular time slots are actually, good quality shows. I'm talking about shows like Regular Show, Adventure Time, Looney Tunes Show, Gumball, etc. They all have that CN "feel", like they could be cartoon cartoons. thet removed all the the bad programming for the most part(problem solverz, yuck). Also, they brought back Toonami. So do you think CN is making a come back? Oh yea, no, i'm not a 90s kid nostalgic and stuck in my generation. I was born in the late 90s, so I grew up with 2000s CN and reruns of the 90s shows.

I've been noticing this too. It's starting to feel like a decent tv station once again.

But what are you guys referring to? What happened with DC Nations?

The DC Nation shows , Young Justice and Green Lantern, were held back till January. For no reason. So on January the DC Nation thing will be up and running. But they Teased and Trolled the audience of it basically. Two episodes leaving un cliffhangers. Well that's just info I read about. And I wouldn't say its good now but it is definetly getting better. They're bringing back Code Lyoko. As well as Teen Titans. Although the new Teen Titans is ganna be more comedy based. But still st least they're bringing it back.

I don't think that there ever was a decrease in the quality of the cartoons. Regardless of whether you're an 80s, 90s, or 2000's kid, the stuff you grew up with will always seem like it's amazing through those nostalgia goggles. When you get older, you realize that most of it's a bunch of bullshit, but that stuff you grew up with is untouchable as far as rational analysis goes, so it always makes it seem like there's a decline in the quality. But really, it's always been the same with the exception of the animation capabilities. Mostly mindless, but with some subtle cleverness thrown in on occasion.

I think that's funny coming from someone named Nostalgia.

It's true that the things you grow up with will always seem better than anything else after it. Like just recently I was talking with a friend about the old TMNT cartoon from the 80's. I thought about why it was good and why the newer gen cartoons were worse and could not for the life of me come up with anything that defined why I loved the show as a kid.

So in some cases there is definitely just the nostalgia factor of things. But there are undeniably the factors of quality in shows that have been lacking in recent years.

Hey, Samurai Jack and Teen Titans, among other things, were gold.

Cartoonetwor as a whle is being recieved better becasue for the mot part its stopping all that live action programming it attempted between 2006-2011. That was what was wrong, the cartoons themselves for the most part have ben fine, sure I miss stuff from my time, but every monday night i can enjoy whats n their primetime block with my younger brothers. A matter of fact I'm a huge adventure time fanboy. But there current Mon-thur evening animation has been good. not just presently but im thinkin back to chowder or foster friends. However its mostly the non cn cartoon that were ever lame, there was stupid kung fu chicken show that i hated it eeyuck.

Sure, I never got into most of their current programming, preferring the shows I grew up with, but I was perfectly content to let the current generation grow up with what they've been given (as long as they were cartoons). Then DC Nation was introduced and CN pulled me back after all these years. Then the tragedy struck.

I understand that there could be legal issues involving certain characters, but that doesn't mean the whole block had to be pulled for 3 or 4 characters on ONE show (most of which don't appear that often). Not to mention the total disregard they've shown for fans by doing this last minute, not providing any warning or answers, letting this happen right as the two shows got off hiatus, and then touting it like its good news.

To be fair, if it's a matter of losing rights to characters, CN will have had no choice. It doesn't matter if they're only on screen for a second, they can't be used at all if they don't have the right to show them. And as YJ is exactly half of the DC Nation block, it made sense to scrap the whole thing until a later date.

I'm more upset with the little info we've been given regarding the incident.
