On a hill in a white dress waiting for my dearest
Okay time for a new chapter.

“Hurry up and come back.”

Kairi thought as she waited in the elevator. She had gone out to get breakfast with Tifa and there was still no word on Sora or the others. It had been nearly a day since they left. A mission like that would mean that if they messed up… Kairi shook her head she wasn’t going to think about things like that. Sora was for sure going to be alright.

“Something wrong?” Tifa asked.

Kairi blushed and looked away.

“It’s okay Kairi, you can tell me anything.” Tifa said comfortingly as she rested a hand on the younger girl’s shoulder.

“Well…” Kairi started, her voice was quivering “I’m afraid Sora won’t comeback.”

Tifa nodded her head “I know what you mean.”

“You do?” Kairi stammered, her face showing her surprise.

“Yes I do.” Tifa started out the glass elevator towards the castle in the distance, “I always worry about Cloud when he leaves like this.”

“Really?” Kairi said.

Tifa closed her eyes and smiled at Kairi, “Yep but I know for sure he worries about his friends more than anything.”

“How come he frets over you guys so much when he’s always doing the dangerous stuff?” Kairi asked.

“Because… Cloud lost Aerith while he was away on a mission.” Tifa said her voice now sad.

“How did it happen?” Kairi asked. Kairi remembered Aerith. She was one of the most beautiful women she had ever seen and one of the nicest.

“Aerith had volunteered to help the restoration of a small city that was bombed during the war with the Chrisen people. Aerith never liked that war or the enslavement of those people and she saw the restoration process as a way to finally help.”

“She had asked Cloud to come with her and, since Cloud never said no to Aerith, he went with her. At that time the heartless attacks were very small and far between so Aerith didn’t think it would be that dangerous. They were having a wonderful time there…” Tifa was on the verge of tears.

“You know Sid even told me that when Aerith decided to come back that Cloud would propose to her. Well one day Cloud got a message from one of his friends that said there might be a war on Tyrantes. Cloud said goodbye to Aerith and started for Tyrantes. He thought he might be able to help with negotiations. It turned out that nothing was happening and that none of his contacts on Tyrantes had sent the message.”

“Cloud didn’t know what to make of it and decided that it didn’t matter all that much since no one was hurt. When Cloud went back to Aerith he found out that while he was away a large group of heartless attacked the restoration committee and had killed many people. He asked the leader of the committee if Aerith was alright and he said that she was among the first to be dragged off into the jungle.” Tifa swallowed hard as she choked back tears that were now freely flowing from her eyes.

“Cloud had already bought the ring…”

“That’s awful... I can’t believe Cloud went through that.” Kairi said, her voiced hushed.

“Cloud was never the same after that. He had lost another friend named Zack before that but Aerith was the thing that pushed his grief over the edge. The twinkle in his eyes was gone. That was until he went to your islands and met you two again.”

“Really?” Kairi said surprised.

Tifa nodded “Yes, he sees Zack in Sora and Aerith in you. Haven’t you noticed how he treats you two like as if you were his younger siblings? You can’t even imagine how much he loves the both of you.”

Kairi smiled a smile that stretched ear to ear.

“I guess I don’t need to worry about Sora then. He has Cloud there and Cloud won’t let anything bad happen to him. He’s like a protective brother or father.”

The elevator door opened revealing a tall woman with black hair with three equally beautiful young girls around Kairi’s age.

“Oh, hello Rinoa.” Tifa said in a honey sweet voice.

“Hi Tifa.” She looked over at Kairi “I didn’t know you had a sister Tifa. What’s her name?”

Tifa laughed “This is Kairi and she’s not my sister. She’s one of Cloud’s students.”

“Ah so you’re the little S.O.L.D.I.E.R. that everyone seems to talk about. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine here wanted to meet you. Isn’t that right girls?”

“That’s right!” they all said.

The girl with short hair walked forward and bowed “Hi Kairi my name is Yuna, the hyper girl over there is my cousin Rikku and the depressed one over there is Paine.”

“Nice to meet you” Kairi said as she returned the bow.

“Oh Tifa have you heard the news!?” Rinoa said.

“No but it must be big for you to be this shocked.” Tifa said “What’s up?”

Rinoa shook her head “It’s easier to show you, it’s on every television. Come back to my room, it’s just down the hall.” She looked over at the girls “You don’t mind if we take a little bit longer to go shopping do you girls?”

“I don’t mind” Yuan answered.

“Okie dokies.” Rikku said loudly.

“Whatever?” Said Paine as she brushed her hair form her eyes.

The six women rushed back to Rinoa’s hotel room. Paine was the one to turn on the TV. A male reporter blinked onto the screen.

“If you are just tuning in now let me repeat. The political group known as Organization XIII has struck the planet of Ukiz with a massive orbital strike. As a reaction to the bombing of one of our planet’s greatest allies Hollow Bastion has declared war on Organization XIII and their allies. There is no word yet on troop movements.”

Rikku turned off the TV.
“Oh my God…” Tifa gasped.

“They say that they struck a large port. There was even footage of three of the organization’s members on the ground killing people.” Rinoa added.

Kairi shook her head, “What monster would attack innocent civilians in a time of peace?”

Saix looked out the window and gazed out across his troops. They ran like cogs in a watch, not one of them were out of order. They were uniform and machine like; it was just how he wanted. He pulled out his pocket watch and checked the time. He was meant to be visiting Namine. He was scheduled to make an appearance at a social party held by the governor of this sector of Slecus; He and all other Organization XIII party members on the planet. This meant that he would need to bring Namine.

Saix hated that name. Namine was making him weak. He felt like spitting every time he thought of her. Regardless of his own feelings on the topic of Namine he still needed to bring her with him. It was the choice of dealing with her presence or risking the Organization’s alliance with the Slec government. If Namine didn’t show it might look like the Organization saw itself as more important than its allies. Of course all of Organization’s members felt this way but that didn’t mean the rest of the worlds needed to know. As of now the Organization needed such deals to hold political power.

Saix smiled an evil smile to himself.

“Soon that will change…” He thought as he started to prepare himself for the day.

Namine was still being dragged around by the soldiers of squad 8 in a so far unsuccessful search for James. Namine smiled a sugar, sweet smile. They all meant well and that’s what mattered. They would find James eventually. Sure enough a few hours later they did.

James stood in front of sandbags suspended by a rope a foot or so off the ground.

James followed the order as he pulled out the sharp death brining attachment to the end of his rifle.
“Charge!”

James shouted as he rushed forward. He pulled the rifle back and shoved it forward plunging it into the sandbag. He showed no mercy as he tore it from its rope and stabbed it again.
“Continue!” the officer yelled.

James pulled his combat knife out and stabbed the sandbag off to the right of him. He sliced the cloth with ruthless efficiency. He stopped as the officer blew a whistle. James stopped and stood machine like and saluted as his superior dismissed him.

“I can handle it from here guys.” Namine said smiling as she walked forward towards James.

James spotted Namine in the corner of his eye. He slammed his rifle butt to the ground and saluted.

“Ma’am!” he said as he pulled his legs together causing his combat boots to make a clapping sound.

“At ease James.” Namine giggled.

James nodded as he let his arms go limp. He noted the gloves Namine had on. He remembered seeing her hands. They looked like something out of a disgusting horror film. He had no idea that water could do that to human skin.

“Are… you okay ma’am?” James stammered in an almost hushed voice. He guessed that if he talked to loud Saix would hear. James knew that was silly but you could never be too sure with that man.

Namine looked away as if to dodge the question.
“I’m fine… umm… thanks for the gloves,” Namine finally said “They help with the pain.”

James was always caught off guard by the young girl’s voice. For such a small girl to be one of the strongest people in all the worlds was something just too alien to him. He could never imagine Namine doing anything as small as being rude to a person let alone kill them just to follow orders.

“No problem… I’m glad I could have helped.” James replied his face turning red with embarrassment.

Namine got a little closer to James and took his hand in hers. Her face was now just as red as James’s hair.

“James I have to tell you something,”

James looked Namine in the face. Was she going to confess to him? He didn’t know what to do if she did. James wanted it to happen more than anything but put no thought into what he would do or say if it actually happened. He swallowed hard. For a second he thought he may have done so too loudly and thought Namine may have heard it.

“I’ve been seeing a boy who looks sorta like you in my dreams at night. They seem so real though… like they’re memories not just dreams.” Namine said almost reluctantly.
“Namine I lo…”

“What is going on here?” a voice interrupted James.

James knew that voice, it was Saix. He looked over in the direction of where he heard the voice and of course it was Saix. He cursed under his breath. He had been so close to telling Namine everything.

“N-Nothing sir!” James said trying his best not to sound angry. He didn’t want to know what Saix would do to him if he thought he talked back to him with a tone.

Saix looked over at Namine.

“Why didn’t you salute?” Saix said the annoyance in his voice unmistakable.

“What?” Namine asked.

“Kneel!” Saix growled as he grabbed her with a gravity spell.

Namine groaned as she was force to the ground.

“You shall show respect as long as you’re in my presence!” Saix spat as he pushed Namine’s head to the ground with his dirty combat boot.

It was all James could do to restrain himself from hitting Saix with the stock of his rifle. He hated the fact that Saix could do that to Namine, the girl he loved, the girl Saix was suppose to love as a father loves a daughter.

“I’m sorry daddy!” Namine whimpered as Saix let up off her head, “I promise with all my heart not to disrespect you again!”

Saix spat in her golden hair “See that you do!”

Namine stood up and brushed the dirt off her uniform.

“You and I have been invited to attend a social party at the governor’s mansion tonight. You will do as I say and nothing more.” Saix stated firmly.
Namine nodded. She smiled at the thought of attending a party even if it was for the military.

“You may choose a few soldiers to be your protection for the night.” Saix added “We don’t want to come off too strong.”
Saix waited for Namine to take in the information.

“Is that understood?”

“Yes daddy.” Namine said.

Saix was just about to walk away when Namine embraced him.

“What do you…?”

“Thank you for not hitting me this time daddy. I love you.” Namine spoke into Saix’s robe.

Saix pushed the young 14 year old girl off his body and walked away. Namine waited for Saix to be out of earshot before she spoke to James again.
“Isn’t this great!?” She squealed girlishly, “I’ll see you and squad 8 an hour before we leave okay?” Namine giggled.

James just stood there perplexed by what had happened in the last few seconds. A few moments later the members of squad 8 were around him.
“What was that about?” The loud soldier asked.

“Were her escorts for the governor’s party tonight…” he answered.

“Well that’s fantastic!” They all said almost in unison.

James waited a few seconds before he told the men around him what he tried to say to Namine. A few of them laughed but that was to be expected. He was after all a boy sharing his feelings for a girl he liked to other men older than him.

“She said I look like a boy she used to know. I don’t think she really likes me. Not like how I like her anyway.” James said.

“I don’t know,” said the loud soldier “I’ve seen how she looks at you. Did she say you look like him or did she say that he looks like you?” the loud soldier asked.

“She said he looks like me.” James answered “What does that matter?”

“It matters because if she is comparing him to you and not the other way around she cares more for you than him. That’s why. Trust me son, I know these things.” The loud soldier said.

James smiled. He just made a new set of friends. For a second he felt like nothing bad in all the worlds could be happening, this was a happy moment.

My PC is Fu*ked up right now and won't allow me to post anything. I'll try to post the rest in the morning. Sorry it took so long.

Latika screamed as she fired off round after round into the… the zombie running towards her. She had been separated from Sam a while ago. They had been swarmed by about 12 of the monsters and they ran off in different directions. Sam had shouted that they would meet in the mess hall.

Latika pulled the clip from her handgun. She had 8 rounds left. She cursed under her breath. She didn’t know how she would make it all the way to the cafeteria with only that many bullets left. Latika shook her head and focused on trying to find her way. She would just have to worry about the lack of bullets when she saw another one of those… things.

Latika rushed down the hallway to where she assumed the elevator was. She screeched to a stop as the lights above her went out and the orange warning lights started flashing. She heard a loud slithering sound and the sound of wet flesh hitting metal. Latika’s eyes grew wide with terror. She opened the door just in time to see a large, fat, worm like creature plow its way through the wall on one side of the new hallway and into the one on the opposite side. Its tail which appeared to be the remains of some unfortunate person flipped after it.
Latika was frozen with shock. She didn’t know how something like that could even exist. Latika built up as much courage as she could muster and sprinted down the hallway and hit the switch for the elevator. She turned around and raised her weapon just in case one of the zombies had followed her without her knowing. She slid into the elevator as the doors opened.

Latika pushed herself to the far end of the small metal room and rested. She prayed that she would live long enough for help to arrive.

Sam looked around the corner. He saw three of the monsters. He checked his ammunition, he had 2 shots left. He turned the corner and rushed the monsters. Their heads cranked to attention as they let out hungry, inhuman moans.

Sam pushed the barrel into the drooling mouth of the closest zombie and pushed it back so it hit the zombie behind it. He fired the trigger. The bullet he fired tore through the neck of the first and hit the other in the eye killing them both instantly. Sam turned his focus on the last zombie. It was too far away for him to shoot it in the head. He aimed his pistol at the monsters feet and pulled the trigger.

He was rewarded with zombie falling to the ground. Sam stormed towards as it tried to push itself up. He now held his pistol like one would a hatchet. As the zombie got to its knees Sam hit it in the head with the handle of the pistol. The zombie fell back to the ground and moaned. Sam lifted his leg up and slammed it down on the monsters head.
It didn’t moan again.

Sora opened his eyes to find himself in a long hallway with a red carpet stretching the entire length. He got up and checked for any damage. He had just been killed by heartless.

“I guess that’s twice now.” He said to himself “Xion!?” he cried now remembering the Kairi look alike.

“Right here lazy bones.” She answered.

Sora looked towards where the voice had come from.

Xion was standing on the ledge of a window to the left of him that faced out towards the east and away from the city.

“Xion…?”

Xion smiled a warm smile.

“I’m glad I got to meet you… at least once.” As she spoke a single tear flowed steadily down her cheek.

“Xion… you’re crying.” Sora said in a caring voice.

Xion gasped and blushed as she put a finger up to stop the tear.

“If you follow the red carpet and turn right at the end of the hallway you’ll meet up with Cloud and the others you were with.” Xion said as more tears started to flow from her eyes. She opened up a portal.

“Wait!” Sora shouted.

Xion turned back and looked at him.

“I just have a feeling that I’m never going to see you again.” Sora said as he too felt tears run down his cheeks and hit the floor, “Were friends now and I… I don’t like saying goodbye to friends. They have a habit of not showing up again.”

Xion jumped down from the ledge and quicker than lightning she was in front of him. She closed her eyes and kissed him on the forehead. She opened her eyes and smiled at him. She moved back to the ledge and walked through the portal.

“He looks so much like him…” She thought.

Sora closed his eyes and thumbed the tears from his cheeks.
“Thank you… Xion.” He said as he started walking.

Cloud heard a sound from behind him and pulled out his sword. He was going to kill every last heartless in the whole castle for taking another one of his friends away from him. He gasped as he saw Sora standing before him.

“You’re… alive!” He said.

“Hey Cloud, what did I…” Sora was cut off as Cloud embraced him.
“Don’t ever scare me like that again. No more friends…”

Sora hugged him back. He was happy to be with Cloud again. He really was like the older brother he never had but always wanted.

Squall and Vaan were standing just behind Cloud.

“Glad to see you’re alive Sora,” Squall said “I thought we had lost another person to those damn heartless.”
Vaan spoke “Hey guys we better get moving again. We don’t want those things to reach us, not when were so close to the end of our mission.”

They all nodded and started moving. In a few minutes they were at the right wall, now all they needed to do was blow it open and plant the charges on the cliff and get the hell out.
“You got the grenades?” Vaan asked Sora.

Sora nodded as he removed his pack and set the line of grenades near the wall. He got some distance and pulled the line connected to the pins of the explosives. They made the loudest sound Sora had ever heard as the blew the stone wall to pieces.

“ROOOOOOOWWWWWRRRRRRR!”

The four young men turned around. Nothing that sounded like that could be good. They needed to move fast.
“How the hell are we going to get around whatever made that sound!?” Vaan hollered

Cloud looked around and spotted two personal skiffs in another blown out room to the left of him
.
“We’ll use the skiffs!” he shouted “Hurry set the charges; we’ll have to set them off as we circle back around to the ships!”

The men got to work laying the explosives. Just as they finished they saw what had made the loud growl they had heard. It was a large colossus class heartless that looked like gigantic lizard of some kind. Its teeth were the size of Cloud’s buster blade and just as sharp.

“Hurry get to the skiffs! We’re gonna have to pair up to get back!” Cloud screamed as he ran for the skiffs and took them. “Go, Sora and I will buy you some time!”

Squall and Vaan were on the first and rocketed out of castle and into the air.

It's easy to overlook the double posts when they're compared with the quality of your work. Great job!

Damn, Saix is such a SOB. Someone (Axel) needs to KICK HIS ASS!!!!!!!!!

Cloud and Sora looked up at their new opponent.

The beast lifted its clawed hand up in the air and slammed it down towards Sora.
Sora back flipped out of the way and got on top of its arm. He held onto its hand as best he could as it lifted it back up into the air. Sora clung to the ruff skin for his life as he was cracked like a whip. As the monster steadied Sora rushed to its shoulder.

Cloud tried his best to draw its attention. The beast caught sight of him and slammed its hand back down. Cloud somersaulted out of the way. He ran back over to the massive mist and plunged his buster blade deep into the hand and stuck it to the floor.
The colossus screamed in pain.

“Cloud!” Sora yelled

Cloud looked up at Sora. He was holding a Keyblade!

“Make it slam its other claw done! We’re going to pin this thing to the ground!”

Cloud nodded. He ran around waving his arms trying to get the monster’s attention.
The giant heartless growled and smashed his fist down.

As Riku Fan said, hope the problem can be fixed soon. So when is Luxord gonna get his ass handed to him by Winter?

Yep, and then Joshua hangs the rules, snaps his fingers, appears on a planet far, far, away, eats Cloud, manhandles Sephiroth, snaps his fingers again, crosses through the dimensions, appears on Earth, and gets into a slapfight with Chuck Norris. Of course I'm not serious.

*Waits for next mini update*
