Bookmarks - Do You Use Them?!

I just memorize what page I'm on, so no dog earing or bookmarking for me.

I hate dog earring books, it just seems wrong to bend the pages! I hate paperbacks for the same reason, I feel so bad for bending the spine when I read it T_T

I use bookmarks if I can since they are nice and pretty sometimes but since I am the eldest in a family of 8 and one on the way I am lucky to find anything to use as a bookmark so usually I just try to remember the page or look in the general area of where I last was in the book and go forwards or back depending on where I opened the book.

I just grab any sheet of paper, fold it up and use that as a bookmark.

I try but sometimes I am in such a rush that all I can do is close the book while I'm running down the hall, sometimes there is really nothing around in less I am going to stick a pencil in the book and I won't do that because it messes up the spine and bends the pages.

due to my ability to remember virtually everything i do not use bookmarks instead i just remember exactly where i was in a certain book

that and i usually leave off on new chapters rather than in the middle of them

Lol that is always easier to do, better to remember a two digit number then a three digit one. But lucky you for having such great memory, half the time I forget that I started a book until I see it again and realize that I am reading four novels at once, three of which are library books due soon >_<

I love beaded bookmarks! They're so pretty! And I like them because unlike the metal ones they don't ruin the binding on on the books. My friend did just get me these really cute bookmarks though that don't have beads. I'm absolutely in love with them! They have a felt floral pattern on them. One is pink and the other is black. I love books! (I'm a bookworm so shoot me! :lol

So now, I end up barely bookmarking xD

i do both. Depends whether the only bookmark that have is already in a book. If it is, i dog ear the page im in, even if its from the local/ school library.
In emergencies i use whatever i find like paper

Yes I use bookmarks. Most of the time I use the fancy-ish cardboard tags from clothes, they look cool and make good bookmarks.

I don't really use any fancy bookmarks you can buy at stores. Most of the time I just use a torn piece of paper or old trading cards.

Exactly this. Most of the time, I simply remember the page. When I don't, I use a 'bookmark' of some kind.

Dog-earing seems asinine to me, and if anyone did it to my books I would probably insist that they buy me a new one.

usally just read untill the chapter is finished then remember the chapter i was on, but if i have to go or something i'll use Dog ears.

I rarely use bookmarks because I usually dont have one near me and too lazy to get one. I never dog ear the pages because I feel that I'm ruining the pages. I usually just remember or leave the book open upside down one the page where i am.(even though i know that it ruins the spine)
