Friendship is defined in the American English Dictionary as the mutual feelings of trust and affection and the behavior that typify relationships between friends.
But ask anyone who has known true friendship and they will tell you that there is no true way to define friendship. It simply defies description. Friendship binds us, changes us, teaches, and helps us to grow. True friends share a gift that can never wholly be discarded and is not easily broken.
It is a gift that seven young men and women will need if they hope to survive an ancient and unrelenting curse. For thousands of years the seven deadly sins have plagued mankind, feeding of the imperfections within each of us. Whenever man made a step towards virtue there was vice whispering in his ear, tugging at his heart, and inflaming his pride, so few have had the strength within themselves to resist.
Can they truly be blamed? What hope can be found when facing the evils within each of us, those little voices that tell us to do or say something we can only regret?
Finally after thousands of years a way to rid imprison the seven sins was discovered.
A spell was forged by the greatest magic users of the age, and seven people were chosen as containers for each of the capital sins. The seven shared a bond of friendship which gave them the strength to contain the sins. Each of them held a strength that another required to resist the sin within, Courage, Grace, Charity, Contentment, Humility, Faith, and Reliability. But their friendship was not strong enough, and the great spell become a terrible curse.
One millennia later…The year 2006…Seven young men and women bound by friendship take a cross country road trip in celebration of high school graduation. Their chosen path will take them to a place of great tragedy, and they will never be the same again.
Ok time for them rules.
Post at least two paragraphs for your template and all other posts you may make. I don’t want any short two or three sentence posts in this rp. If you can’t handle a paragraph then this isn’t for you. I don’t want to offend anyone, but I’ve been working on this one for quite awhile and I want the story to be fulfilling.
You each get one sin. You can not resist your sin’s corruption indefinitely. The power that your sin gives you is the one you will use the most, but the sin gains more power over you as you use it. You have to rely on the person with the virtue that opposes your sin to help you overcome the power of the sin possessing you. It’s a continuing struggle. The more you use your sins power the more addicted you become, the more sinful you become.
Here is the list of selectable sins and the virtues. The sins give incredible abilities, and the opposing virtue allows the sin’s power to be used without the sin taking over. It’s basically an emotional thing. The friends have to rely on each other to avoid becoming their greatest weakness.
Pride: Pride endows the host body with increased levels of mental acuity, reflexes and even the capability to effect the environment around them with the power of the mind. Caution must be used by whoever is so unfortunate to become the host for Pride. Though it bestows great power, it is deceptively easy to use but incredibly difficult to master. Taken by: Morpheaus
Anger: Anger endows the host body with immense levels of physical strength, speed, agility, and sense. Yet for all of the power anger can give there is a terrible price to be paid. The more a person relies on the power of his rage the farther he slips into darkness. Given time rage will consume every vestige of the host and leave nothing but a bitterly hateful shell possessed by physical power.
Gluttony: Gluttony is a terrifying sin, literally forcing its host to undergo rapid bouts of hunger, thirst, and even physical pleasure. The effects gluttony has on the host vary depending on personality and will power, but absolute resistance is impossible. Gluttony allows it user to store vast amounts of energy, this energy can then be converted into various forums of energy. The most obvious comes in the form of bio-electricity which can be used to literally throw lightening from the body.
Lust: Lust is a particularly infectious breed of sin. The host of lust begins to yearn for sexual pleasure and to give that same pleasure, but over time this yearning can spread. The spread normally focuses on the current object of lust’s desire.(That’s an oxymoron.) This spread makes the host highly desirable to others and allows a certain level of mental manipulation, usually in the form of suggestion.
Sloth: Sloth is perhaps the most deceptive of all the sins. It endows its host with the power to heal all wounds, to cure all disease, and with adequate will, return life to the lifeless. Indeed Sloth appears to bestow godlike power with no recourse, yet that is where Sloth’s deceptive nature puts its user to the test. Using that precious gift of life is terrifyingly difficult; with even the smallest expenditure the power the host will feel immensely tired and mentally exhausted. The choice between saving the dying and facing eternal exhaustion is a terrible burden to bear. Few can muster the will to truly make a difference in this world. Taken By Rikimaru
Envy: Envy can be a very rewarding sin, literally allowing the host to manifest nearly any object they can imagine. But as by virtue of itself envy begets dissatisfaction. Envy will drive it’s the host to insanity in an attempt to manifest every desire of the host. These creations are hollow, lasting only for a few hours at the most. In the end no matter how long these manifestations last Envy will never let its host be satisfied. Taken By Call_me_canada
Avarice: Avarice, potentially the most evil of the sins, it is known for bestowing one of the most desired abilities in all human existence. The power to turn lead to gold, water to wine, and paper to silk, transmutation is a power sought after by man since the dawn of time. Avarice grants this precious gift with the condition that its user must one day return all that has been given must one day be returned…
