I've been to this part of the forum more and more.

So, getting on topic. I've been experimenting some "new" effects I decided to use lately, some of the results I thought were rather good, at least better than what I used to get. Here are the ones I made, and since I know people at this forum are way more experienced with graphics such as photoshop than me I thought I could get some criticism(again) and see if what I thought was correct.

It was little too bright so I used lighting effects to see if the tag would be better. I actually thought the result was good, could have been better though.

The left is too bright, and it is a bit too simple for me.

I didn't put much effort on this one -.-'

Can look a bit messy and simple, but it is my favourite from all the tags I've done so far.

Too bright isn't it?

I still have got some work to do on all of these tags, they aren't finished yet and I still have to add some good text after I'm done.

The effects in the first one are covering the focal too much and look like they were just placed on their with no blending whatsoever. Maybe if you brought Uryu to the front and tried blending the effects with the stock it would work better. Also be careful of putting too much effects in a tag as they can completely overshadow your focal.

The focal in the second tag is way too bright and the text doesn't really work. . Maybe work on a putting a specific light source instead of just brightening up the focal. Also try to just use the one stock of Byakuya cause the other face doesn't look right there.

The third one as you said looks like you just desaturated the picture and then added a Motion blur (?) and pasted text onto it. I also think you should include more of Ichigo's body. His face is way too close which really doesn't leave much room for any effects and what not.

The fourth one has FHS (floating head syndrome) due to all the effects splatters and smudging around him. The colors work, I just think it is executed somewhat poorly and the text is just there for me.

Fifth tag. Too bright, and too effect-ridden. Avoid covering your focal with effects and instead work on trying to blend the effect with the stock.

On the last tag I have no idea where your focal is since you have two people in there and they are so covered in effects that I don't know where to look. And it looks like you just posted a pattern and set it on top of the stock(s).

What do you use? CS or gimp?

I suggest looking at different tutorials to learn when and how to add effects that don't look pasted on. Tuts helped me a lot. :)

So much useful advice... Thanks for everything, I've been looking at some tuturials lately, I guess my worse problem is the focal point and blending. I don't do actually use patterns, most of them is with Distort filter. In the 3rd the stock I used was only his face, I'll pay more attention next time when chosing the stock and find something better. I'm a bit careless with the effects so I usually don't notice whenever I should put or not a new layer.
I use PS CS3. FHS (floating head syndrome) I never knew this even existed x.x It was my fault in that tag, I ended up hiding Ichigo's neck with the brushes.
