Cerden

It seems the plans have been decided. From what Cerden heard, the captains going to check out the scene in LA would be Genji, Haruka, and Reimi. “What an odd mix” Cerden said. He really wasn’t sure to make of it. In one sense, it was logical. Have Genji being their powerhouse, Haruka their close range, and then you got Reimi with her out-of-this-world bankai. It seemed fair enough that the three of them get paired together. Cerden also noticed that Genji was smitten with Reimi, so that might be interesting. Cerden laughed at that thought.

Cerden continued to listen as the Head-Captain continued to speak. He mentioned how Idei would be the babysitter of the Arrancar. “Beats the hell out of me doing it.” Cerden said with a laugh of relief. He didn’t want to do that, anyways. The Head-Captain continued to say that Bryce, and TB would go with him to sign the truth with the Arrancar, who seem to be on the Soul Reaper’s side. Go figure? Lastly, the orders came from the Head-Captain. He ordered Jin and Idei to go to a town called Karakura town to see some dude named Kisuke Urahara.

“Kisuke, eh?” Cerden said as he thought about that name. He knew it..or at least knew of that guy. Quite the rep he has. The founder of the Research and Development, and the first president of the same charter. Next was Mayuri Kurotsuchi, who by the records, was a complete nut job. Now, the roll is TB’s. Quite the tale surrounded Urahara. “Jin and Idei better watch themselves. Haha” Cerden said leaning back into his chair, just laughing at the thought.

Before the meeting was adjourned, Head-Captain Syra said that Athel was in charge. It made sense. The remaining captains were no fit at being temporary leader. Captains of Squad six, eight, thirteen, and nine were just too snobby and bitchy to be qualified. Captain of Squad four had the whole restoration department to look after, and then there was Cerden. Shit, everybody knows he despises responsibility. He’s a follower than a leader…in some cases, at least.

“I guess that means I get to chillax.” Cerden said lightly, “Cool!”

Jaakuna

Jaakuna had just gotten the hell out of the Menos forest. He had done such a hard thing, he almost feels like he wants to go back and kill more of those Hollows. It’s not like they can feel, and besides, what’s a little more killing going to do? “Yeah, maybe it’s not a good idea..” Jaakuna said debating on the idea, “The ‘kings’ are always so freaking snotty. They’ll bitch if I don’t follow my orders to the exact detail” Jaakuna said knowing he better return to HQ before shit gets even worse for him.

Walking through the white sand dunes of Hueco Mundo, Jaakuna’s mind trailed to another place. He began to wonder what would’ve happened if he hadn’t gotten these powers, and if he hadn’t became a notorious criminal. Perhaps he might have been a different person, and not a killer. Mind you, he doesn’t regret a damn thing, it’s just the heat-of-the-moment that has him thinking.

Out of his little nostalgia mode, Jaakuna knew he had to hurry to HQ, so he decided to try out a little something-something that he picked up from an Arrancar a while back.

“Jin, you little traitor. You might work for the other side, but man you taught me quite the trick.” Jaakuna said. He knew this was a bit risky, a human trying to do Souindo. Quite literally put, the hollow version of a Soul Reaper’s Shunnpo or Flash Step.

“Let’s see if I can do this.” Jaakuna said as he prepared to get his Spiritual Pressure up to par where it would need to be. A roar of flames started to surround Jaakuna. The intensity of the heat could be felt from a mile away, that is how hot the flames are that Jaakuna is producing. “Almost there…” Jaakuna was about at sixty percent with this one, he now had to find a right balance between how much power and speed needed to be improved, and just how balanced. “There we go”

At the required balance, Jaakuna tried his luck. By flurrying his spiritual pressure outwards, Jaakuna was able to take a rift into the air, split his being through space, and with small, air-walking steps, Jaakuna was dashing through the air at eye-blinking speed. He’s going so fast, that if you blinked, he’s gone. And if you blink once more, there he his. Jaakuna used this technique to get himself to HQ, which weirdly was the same castle that Aizen used as his fortress so long ago.

“Finally here. Let’s go see what in the hell this Adjuches life force had to do with our cause.” Jaakuna said as he proceeded into the Castle.

After the fool left as Caesar had expected him to do, the second king rubbed the top of his head and walked a few steps before jumping into the air and boosting his speed as he obtained flight. The air cracked as he moved forward, breaking speeds he'd normally use for travel was one thing but being separated from Queen Lunalia was getting to him somewhat and Caesar felt the need to be that much closer to her as soon as he possibly could.

It had already been several hours since the attack on Los Angeles had been completed and as far as any Olvidado needed to be concerned time meant very little to them. Once back inside their turbulent home, their powers restored rather quickly and besides that anyone whom went during the attack that still might have been exhausted could stay behind.

"Ah, there you are darling, I meant to return sooner but I had a run in with a foolish arrancar, of course nothing came of the situation he was extremely cocky but I could care less about such things its nearly time to start the next stage of our plans. This time we are to attack two cities at once in entirely different time zones and periods of the the world." The idea was brilliant. Already Los Angeles was in ruins and now when they attacked in Europe and Africa the time zones would be off again, causing fear and terror to strike the hearts and minds of the humans world wide as one catastrophe after the other came into fruition.

Lunalia opened her eyes upon hearing Caesar's voice and yawned, smiling up at him, "I like the sound of that. he more places we can purify and help those below us, the better right my darling??" She sat up then and eyed Caesar curiously, "Okay then, where should we go next, I'm sure you don't mind me putting in a few ideas right. I actually wanted to go see Rome or Athens..."

"That's actually perfect Lunalia, as I planned to go to Europe and Africa next. We are going to be split up this time be everything will go fine I'm sure. If you want to go to one of those places then its already settled. I shall go alone and pay a visit to Egypt." The enticing idea of terrifying those visiting the pyramids or taking a pilgrimage up the Nile was so pleasurable he had to stop speaking for a moment.

Lunalia giggled and looked slightly perplexed because of this. "Caesar are you not feeling well, we could always wait a bit if you need a break." She touched his arm lightly and waited for an answer.

"No, that won't be necessary at all, I was just thinking about how exquisite our rise will be and that the next stage will be what we need to really come into people's thoughts. Just inform me when you'd like to start. For now time isn't of the essence..."

And with the final instructions laid out by the Head Captain, Reimi, Haruka, and Genji were to head out the city of Las Angeles to check out the recent destruction the Olvidado Kings have commited upon it. He had been to the world of the living a handful of times, and to America a few as well. He had a good understanding of their cities and such, what their culture held. Though Genji doubted he might even be able to recognize such a place as a major city at this point.

Before he could even get to away from his chair, the ever-determined Reimi was already making her way to the door. Though he didn't think much of it, as time truly was of the essence. The sooner we can get to this city, the better. Hopefully, we can catch some of these Kings before they leave the city, or at the least be able to protect the now thousand souls now wandering the streets of this American metropolis. Genji couldn't and feel a stir of anger rise in his belly already. Just thinking of the utter chaos this race of beasts are bringing unto all our worlds, sickens him. As a captain of the 13 Court Guard Squads, he would not allow this to happen.

At this time Genji was footsteps behind Reimi, when he heard Akairo's voice from behind. As expected, she warned them of the threat that awaits us. Thinking on it enough as it was already, Genji knew all to well to not get overconfident against these foes. He would approach this with all the wisdom and training that all of us captains should. "Will do Akairo." He replied, smiling.
"No need to worry, we'll be back in no time. Genji, Haruka, let's get a move on. Those things aren't gonna wait on us you know." He glanced into Captain Taiyo's eyes for a moment as she spoke, making sure not to stare. Quickly blinking a few times, he followed with, "Yes, we should be moving." With a flick of his hand, he gestured to continue heading out into the hallway. "Let's all get moving to the gate.", he said following Reimi outside. Genji paused and threw a glance over his shoulder, waiting for Haruka to catch up...

Queen Lunalia the Forgiving

The two of them standing there, alone atop this tall spire, the endless wasteland stretching in every direction as far as the eye could see. It was moments like these which Lunalia wished were eternal. Moments like these, however, were going to become rare as the coming war continued to spread. The responsibility of winning this war rested in the hands of the Kings, to not only lead their race against the Hollows and Soul Reapers, but to fight in the front line themselves against the strongest of opponents.

That is why, however brief they may be, she enjoyed the time of peace she could share with Caeser. If it were up to her, they would last longer. These two had a mission to carry out though, and they would do so without error. Besides, the sooner they laid waste to their locations, the sooner they could return home. "We should get going, then." Lunalia stood up, a portal forming behind her that would lead to the capitol of Italy. Her gentle hand brushed the few strands of hair out of her face, as a gentle breeze brushed over them. "The Human race isn't going to cleanse itself, after all." A light laugh escaped her lips as she gave one last gaze at Caeser's direction. Without another word, she stepped into the portal and vanished from his sight.

For this city, Lunalia would venture alone. The other squads and her bodyguards needed time to relax their body and minds. They would need to be at their best for fights to come. Besides, she needed to stretch out and warm-up, it's been over 5000 years since she enjoyed the front line.

Once again, Queen Lunalia's first step out of the portal was a devastating one. Not knowing the specifics, she set the portal to open in the area with the highest density of life in Rome. She wanted an appearance to be seen by hundreds, but she never knew her stage would be one with the eyes of millions, perhaps billions, watching.

The Olympics.

A chorus of gasps resonated throughout the stadium. Thousands of eager fans supporting their country's team, breaking out into chatter at Lunalia's sudden appearance in the middle of the track field. The elite sprinters from all across the globe slowed to a stop as the coaches and security signaled to cease running, the lead runner from Germany throwing his arms in the air in anger and confusion. All of the cameras focused in on the strange intruder, her black dress shimmering as the spotlights rested on her being. The whole world was her stage.

"Hello, citizens and visitors of Rome. Greetings, champions of this lower race." Her voice echoed throughout the area, hushing the entire stadium to silence without the need of a microphone. Even the security moving in to arrest her ceased, entranced by her compassionate voice. "I am most pleased to announce to you all that I have come here to free you all! No longer will this world be plagued with war, famine, or discrimination. No longer will you feel hate for one another, nor joy at the expense of others. We, The Olvidado, have come to save you all...from yourselves!"

As she finished her introduction, she stood in silence in wait for all she said to settle in their meager minds. The crowd took no time to process her words, exploding in an instantaneous uproar. 'What are you, crazy!?', 'Oh man, another religious nutjob.', 'Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom', 'Get her out of here!', and so on. Lunalia heard it all, every variation and language, all of them reaching her understanding ears. The security moved in, ready to escort the 'crazy lady' off the premises. All they could think about was returning to the events, watching their representatives compete for the highest honor.

"I forgive you."

The rent-a-cops collapsed, souls crushed by the reitatsu released from Lunalia. The coaches, staff, and runners were next, no amount of speed enough to escape the deadly touch that was in essence, something as simple as her existence.

"I forgive you."

With but a wave of her hands to either direction, the stands erupted in a mighty blast. The calm fear of seeing the people on the field collapse combined with the instant panic brought from the explosions caused the crowds to run and scream in terror. She continued to wave her hands, destroying the stadium and those in it little by little. The blasts were so immense, chunks of the building flew outward, colliding with nearby buildings and crushing those outside hoping to obtain last minute tickets for ridiculous prices.

Lunalia paused for a moment, smiling for all the lives she had given mercy to. On the ground, some ten feet away, rested a camera, broadcasting the carnage all around the world. People at home experienced varying reactions. Crying over family at the stadium. Praying for the safety of loved ones. Fear the end has come. She could only hope their opinions changed in the afterlife.

"We are not a terrorist, feeding off your fear."

"We are not the apocalypse, bringing an end to everything."

"We are not your enemy, seeking power."

"We are The Olvidado...your Salvation!"

The Brain

Although he was disappointed at not being able to begin testing on Jin, The Brain was fine with waiting. He could trust Tokage to keep an eye on him for the moment. For now, it was important to do as the Head Captain instructed. The Olvidado had made their move, and it was time for the Captains to make their retaliation. First order of business, preparation.

"Understood, Head Captain Syra. I shall be waiting by the Gate, I will set it to the desired locations for each group. Good luck to everyone." Gathering up his notes, and signalling R.I.P to follow, he left the meeting hall in as quick a stride as his small legs would allow him. "And Cerden, no slacking off." He said as he walked by the lazy captain.

Upon exiting, he proceeded to shunpo his way to the gate. Time was a major factor, and the sooner the Gates were ready, the better. Both him and his loyal companion leaped across the rooftops, avoiding the crowds of Soul Reapers reporting to their positions in response to the attack. As he reached the destination, he commanded those stationed to prepare the needed Gates for travel. In no time at all, everything was ready for the various groups to head out. All The Brain had to do was wait for Captain Bryce and Head Captain Syra, then it was off to meet with this endangered Arrancar.

Idai

"Understood sir." He said, standing up and walking towards the vizard. "Nice to meet you Jin," Idai started, shaking his hand. "Like the Head Captain said, my name's Idai, Vice-Captain of Squad 11." He left the meeting hall with Jin following him. "I'm guessing that you were a former Shinigami, correct?" He asked, not waiting for a response. "Do you know anything about this Urahara guy? I've read a bit about him in the old library, but just that he was a captain, and the head of research and development." He turned a corner and walked towards the Squad 11 Barracks. "Allow me a moment to freshen up." He flashed inside and came back out a minute later.

"That's better." He unsheathed his sword and sliced down vertically, opening a Senkaimon. "After you." He said, waiting for Jin to walk into it. He followed after him, and they came out onto a quiet suburban street. They walked around for a moment, and soon found the shop. Idai walked up to the door cautiously and knocked before opening it. "Hello?"

Piedra

He wiped some sweat from his brow. Piedra was lucky the Olvidado didn't follow him. He knew he was nowhere close to being able to killing one of their Kings. Not to mention all his planning would have gone to waste. He sat on top of a Mayan pyramid, deep in the jungles of South America. It was kinda like his base, but he only stayed he when he needed to rest. But now he just waited, for the shinigami. He knew they were coming. He just had to hold out until then.

Every step Reimi took in the direction of the gate made her heart pound that much harder. To be honest, she did not know what to expect seeing as no one knew anything about the Olvidado save for the fact that their strength was unparalleled. But that was half the fun right? Reimi took pride in her fighting abilities and never once had a chance to exhibit them at full strength. As a matter of fact, the only time her bankai was ever released was when it was achieved. So this might serve as some outside training, or so she thought. Reimi held her head up and pondered as if the answer was going to fall right out of the calm skies.

As the trio walked through Soul Society, Reimi noticed they were getting a myriad of looks. Not in the negative sense but the look that said, 'Good luck'. Word surprisingly got out fast about the trio's destination. Reimi did not pay any particular attention to anyone seeing as there were so many of them. A slight smile and wave did just enough to return everyone's gratitude. Before she knew it, the gate was in sight. It's tall perches reaching into the air. Reimi stopped just short of reaching through the gate when she looked back making sure that Haruka and Genji were ready to go through with the mission.

"Make sure you're ready. And remember this is only a reconnaissance mission, so don't go too in over your head."

Well...that was weird hearing Reimi mention to the group not to go in with a head full of steam which she was most notable for. "Just in case we get split up make sure you have your communicators on you." Reimi handed them a cell phone type device in which there were only one button. "In case we can't feel each others spiritual pressure and you're in danger, press that button and the device will automatically send a GPS signal to your exact location despite the area." Reimi always seemed to stay prepared regardless of the assignment. Finally, she outstretched her hand and in a matter of seconds Amaterasu formed in her hand, blade and sheath. And almost simultaneously the Senkaimon opened its doors as well.

"Not a second to waste." With that said, Reimi walked through the light without the slightest bit of hesitation.

Tourists attractions were always a great place to start a terrorist type attack, but rather than do anything cliche and simply destroy things grand and beautiful, Caesar made a show of his exploits. He'd arrived right in the middle of the desert area of Giza where the pyramids were and Caesar himself actually enjoyed looking at them, it had been many years since he'd seen them and now as time had passed they were worn down with age and weather, their glory still remained however and countless people were around taking pictures and being awe inspired by their presence alone.

The presence that they should have been worrying about was the second King's however...

"How sad, even in the bristling heat these humans have no idea of what is to come and how fast it will happen." Caesar stood as a lone figure in the distance, and all people could feel was his increase in spiritual pressure, only instead of being afraid they took this as a sense of enlightenment and good faith from being so close to a wonder of the world. Caesar's body trembled lightly as from his distance he had to control his reiatsu perfectly to maintain control over all of the pyramids at once as he manipulated their density and caused miniature explosions below them to take them off the ground as they slowly but surely, became light as feathers.

Within five minutes people were yelling in confusion, terror and wonder as the pyramids began to lift themselves up into the sky, small specs of debris from their foundations fell to the ground as they all simultaneously floated off in the direction of Cairo. This instantly became a world spectacle as it could be seen from miles away and especially from within Cairo and Giza itself, but the last part that Caesar made sure to add was that the Sphinx also rose into the air and followed shortly after the three pyramids. "Hahahaha, this is just the beginning." Caesar then floated up into the air himself and sat atop the Sphinx as its perch and rightly so, many people thought he the ultimate cliche.

Caesar was viewed as a god coming back after many thousands of years to bring some sort of glorious gospel or wrath to the people of Egypt through Cairo, but they had no idea how terrible it was about to get at all. There were still several miles to go between Giza and Cairo but when that space ran out, all hell was about to break lose. Olvidado were already starting to climb out of the holes were the pyramids were and for good measure, they all looked like ancient Egyptian deities or minions of them.

Jin watched as a vice-captain walked up to him and held out his hand. Not really in the mood to talk to anyone at this point, Jin just quietly shook his hand. They were to be heading to Urahara's shop, much to Jins dismay. How that man annoyed him to no end. Sure Jin would do a favor for him here and there to get some free shit, but still, annoying him to no end about studying the damned hollow. Much to the hollows delight, Jin flat out refused.

Using shunpo to get the the Guards gate to grab Doshin, then Jin used Shunpo to get back to Idagi. Jin was about to open a portal to exactly where his shop was, when Idagi opened one of his own. Jin was pleased he didn't half to waste his reietsu to do it, so he again didn't say anything.

Stepping through with Idagi they came out a couple blocks away from the shop. "Should have just done it myself." Jin sighed to himself. "Oh well. A little walking isn't going to kill me."They finally reached the shop and Idagi stuck his head in the door and said
"Hello?"

Jin just walked up to the door, pushed past Idagi and entered the building. "Urahara! Get your old ass out here!"

Haruka confirmed the handshake with a Sai-like expression; Closed eyes and a long smile. He then turned to walk toward his fellow captains and got ready to leave for LA. They needed hell butterflies he supposed. Haruka soon turned to his comrades and heard Reimei's statement. He bowed his head in approval
His contemplations of his comrades and his own next moves made Haruka feel almost... Apprehensive to a degree. He was eager to see that something this strong had surfaced. But he had a feeling that this was to be a tough fight between them and these Olvidado kings... They needed all the help they can get and they needed to tap into the utmost limits of their strength.

The Brain

With everything ready, The Brain's curious nature began to override his patience in waiting for Bryce and Syra to catch up. It wasn't often enough an Arrancar presented itself to the Soul Society, so missing out in this chance encounter was not an option. "Time is a valuable resource we cannot waste. It shouldn't be a problem if I go on ahead, the two of them can catch up to me in no time." His mumbling caused the Soul Reapers nearby to stare in confusion for a moment, all of them jumping back to whatever task they could find once he took notice of them. "Well, the exact location of our target is unknown to us. Not the brightest Arrancar, inviting us to negotiate without giving a location. Looks like I shall have to pinpoint where he is. I'll rule out Hueco Mundo for the moment, the Olvidado have gained dominance there. Only a fool would negotiate an alliance behind enemy lines."

Deciding the Arrancar was in the World of the Living (if he wasn't a fool), The Brain began calculating the places where he could be. Unable to know how their target thought, however, all one could say without doubt is LA was not an option. "You, the one pretending to do work." He pointed to a young Soul Reaper staring into the sky, causing him to jump as he was startled by the Captain's stern tone. "Tell me quick, any reports of high reitatsu fluctuations in the World of the Living, other than LA?"

"Y-yes sir! We just received a few reports of reitatsu spiking out of nowhere in a few locations! One steady source in South America that hasn't made any moves as of late, and two humongous sources in Africa and Europe going off the charts! W-we currently have no clue what they could be."

"Hmm..." The Brain absorbed the information, and within no time came to an understanding. The Olvidado were already making their next move, as to be expected. One city was nowhere near a declaration of war, considering the unknown power they hold. The inexplicable readings in Africa and Europe were no doubt them, wreaking havoc across the globe was the best way to create terror in the living. The one in South America had to be the Arrancar, keeping a steady level of reitatsu flowing would make it possible for Soul Society to track him, but not enough to grab too much attention from the Olvidado. "Very good. That settles things. You, inform Head Captain Syra that I am heading ahead to meet the Arrancar in South America. Furthermore, tell him the activities in Europe and Africa have a high chance of being Olvidado attacks going on as we speak. Whether any aid would make it in time is unknown, it's up to him what orders to issue. Also...stop stuttering. You sound like an idiot."

"Y-yes...I mean yes sir!"

The Brain let out a sigh. To say he was worried about the current roster of the Soul Reapers was an understatement. Should the Olvidado attack here, it would no doubt create devastating results. Without further delay, he opened a gateway to the Living World. Time was of the essence, even more so than they thought in the previous meeting.

After traveling for some time, The Brain reappeared at the desired location. The lush jungles stretching out over the horizon in every direction. The exact coordinates placed the target near an ancient Mayan temple. A structure that would be easy to notice, he used shunpo atop the trees, in a hurry to get the negotiations going, and to manipulate this specimen onto a microscope in due time...

"Seems you have quite the ego, resting atop the temple of an ancient race like it's your castle." Just as he thought, the Arrancar sat atop one of the temples, waiting patiently. "I am the Captain of Squad 12 and President of the Research and Development Institution. I am here on behalf of Soul Society to hear you out about negotiating terms of a temporary alliance against the Olvidado threat. By what name shall we refer to you as?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Queen Lunalia the Forgiving
The carnage continued, the lovely Queen swaying her arms in a fluid motion, as if she was dancing to the rhythm of destruction. Overjoyed was she that so many lives were being spared the fruitless endeavor that was living a lesser life. The roof had already been blown to pieces, letting the endless sky accept the souls of the lost with open arms. Her compassion was so great for these people, tears rolled down her smooth cheeks, running by her blissful smile. How glad she was that these people would be granted eternal peace, all thanks to her efforts.
Being so lost in thought, the arrival of Rome's designated Soul Reaper went unnoticed. He jumped down through the now broken roof, keeping a fair distance of thirty meters. He was cautious, not the type to jump the gun against a dangerous foe. It wasn't until he drew his Zanpakuto that Lunalia took notice of his presence. She ceased her destruction of the stadium, wiping the tears of joy from her face and aiming her sincere smile to her new guest.
"Greetings, Soul Reaper." Here she curtsied and bowed her head in a polite manner. "My name is Queen Lunalia, Third King of the Olvidado. It is a pleasure to meet you. Are you here to resist me, as the prey resists the predator? Do not worry, I shall show you compassion far beyond any predator is capable of. As always, I shall forg-"
Unable to finish her customary introduction, the Soul Reaper released his Shikai, four cannon like weapons rotating around his left wrist. As she was in mid sentence, he fired four rounds of concentrated reitatsu, one exploding into the ground at her feet, the others colliding with her dead on the upper body. As the smoke started to clear, the Soul Reaper knew full well it was not enough to finish the opponent. What he didn't expect, however, was the compassion in her eyes did not waver one bit. In fact, it almost felt like she was showing even more than previous.
"You are very brave." Her voice was soft, yet somehow it still reached his ears, soothing his mind. "That weapon of yours is impressive as well." Despite being an enemy, in addition to her slow walk closer to him, he felt at ease. He couldn't explain it, but the will to fight or flight vanished, the inevitable end sinking in. "Dangerous, too. You need to be more careful." The gap between them was gone, a mere foot in distance separating them. Her hand reached out, resting ever so gentle on his Shikai. Her eyes remained locked onto his, her lips opening, this time shocking the Soul Reaper with a voice not of a kind nature, but a serious one. "It's for the best I take this away from you."
Panic set in, his body becoming tense. His mind broke free from the trance, the flight or fight response kicking in, the obvious choice screaming in his thoughts. Run. Run. Run. RUN!
Too late. In a graceful, slow motion, Lunalia grasped the man's arm, and tore it off. She tossed it aside, and in a very literal sense, disarmed him. The camera laying haphazardly on the ground nearby, gave the world a spectacle of blood and a chorus of agonizing yells. Not able to take it anymore, Lunalia decided to end his suffering and grant him everlasting peace. With a wave of her hand, she blasted him to oblivion, the only trace left of him being the severed arm tossed to the side.
Examining herself, she noticed her beautiful dress was now ruined. Singed from his attacks and a few specks of blood on the right side. Her outfit was a mess, but she knew she only had herself to blame. It was expected to get a bit dirty once she took to the front line. "In the end, it's only clothing. I forgive you."
The only word that Jaakuna could utter out after 'reporting' to one Kings. He knew they were snobbish, and quite arrogant, but damn! Jaakuna had no idea they would just shove him off as if he didn't provide or contribute anything that would benefit their 'so-called' cause. Sure they had the higher rank, but Jaakuna could sense their power, and he at least could hold his own to them.
"Whatever" Jaakuna's whole reaction to the arrogance to the King he dealt with, who was the Fifth King of the Olvidado..
Ten minutes ago
holding the long needle-like gun in his right hand, Jaakuna made his way through the Olvidado fortress where he was confronted by the Fifth King, who for some reason, prefers not to show its actual face, or even talk much. When the Fifth King does speak, it's in a muffled tone so that not even the most perceptive ear can't make heads or tails of it.
"Oh this should be fun" Sarcasm all over Jaakuna's tone. He didn't like this one King, but this one was the closest thing Jaakuna had to an authority figure. It's better than nothing, as far as he's concerned.
"Hey, Fifth King." Jaakuna said, trying to get the king's attention. Jaakuna didn't know whether or not the king was deliberately ignoring him, but he had to get the King's attention, so Jaakuna in his natural impulse fired a fireball in a surprising fashion. So, of course he didn't fire strait at the King, but close enough to get its attention. Proceeding that, Jaakuna gave the King an asshole-like smile,and then proceeded to explain his mission given by the High King himself, and that he needed the spiritual energy of an Adjuches. The king just gave Jaakuna a blank stare as if he didn't give a rat's ass about any of it. This angered Jaakuna beyond comprehension, but he knew he had to remain calm when talking to a King. but just when Jaakuna just had it, the King began to speak.
"I don't know what the High King was thinking sending you into the Menos Forest, and that you shockingly were able to destroy this Adjuches and suck up its energy. As for what we need it for, it just so happens that this energy will go a long way in building up a very formidable Garganta that will enable ANY Olvidado to travel to The Human World without notice." The Fifth King began to explain it in boring detail. Jaakuna began to drift off..
"sooo, this is pretty much an errand I went on for you Kings that were too goddamn lazy to do yourselves?" Jaakuna said cocking his head left to right and then right to left, "Well, that pretty much says it." Jaakuna took the silence as a yes. "Just take this and let me be on my way"
The Fifth King wouldn't allow such attitude to escape without being taught a lesson or something. "Listen here BOY, you're only here because the High King himself saw something special in you, but remember that us Kings — the one true Olvidados— have the final say." The fifth king said as it trailed off to god-knows where.
Current time
"Ugh, fine now that I'm not being bothered with such a tedious task, I think it's time I get myself some rest. Can't have my face looking ugly for when Queen Lunalia returns." Jaakuna said as he went to his room to call it a night..day..or whatever they consider sleep time in Hueco Mundo.
Genji and the others proceeded through Soul Society. Heading out to the Senkaimon; filled with worry at the possible confrontation that awaited them on the otherside. As they walked past guards and fellow soul reapers alike, he found them giving them all watching us intently, as all of them were just as curious of the outcome. Everyone knows that when the Olvidado rose to power in the past, many a soul reaper died. Higher ranking officers murdered like it was nothing. For all everyone knew, the moment any reaper confronts a King? It could be their death sentence. But after all the worrying he had done himself, Genji closed in on the gate, not in fear, but filled with impatience. The nerves that were getting to so many others found themselves unwavering in Genji's mind. He pushed all the doubt down to the pit of his gut, and filled his heart with courage. He realized what he was, and what he was capable of. He trusted in his and his comrades abilities. They were ready.
Now seeing the gate growing ever closer, he saw The Brain standing aside the gate. An "all business" demeanor across his face, as per usual, he was reaming into a lazy reaper by the gate. Paying little attention to the full conversation, he merely smirked to the stammering of the poor young guard. Not a whole lot of the lower ranked reapers felt comfortable talking to the captain of Squad 12. For being such a little guy, he was quite the intimidating fellow. Genji sure wouldn't want a reeming from the man. That being said, though peculiar, Genji found him neat. He had no problems with him, unlike other captains of Sqauds 6 and 13 for example, which he found very annoying. He wasn't huge on people. But luckily he found himself on good terms with captains Taiyo and Keol. Though he wished captain Taiyo would pay him more attention, he thought with a quick flash of chagrin washing over his face.
Brains had set the portal to the proper destination, and it lit up with a bright light as the doors opened. Reimi spoke a small speal to the two of them, almost sounding as if she was a higher ranking officer. Genji pushed that flick of annoyance away though. She said to not over do it, which completely shocked Genji. And by the look on her face may of taken her back a little too. A smile cracked on his face and he nodded his head in agreement to her caution.
"Not a second to waste.", Reimi said as she readied to head through the portal. "Yes, let's get going", Genji replied without a hint of hesitation. The trio stepped through the gleaming light which ringed and blinded them for a moment as they continued walking through what seemed to be white nothingness. It took but a few moments in the strange reality of the Senkaimon, but a door appeared before them, sliding open to reveal a small glimpse at a new world all-together.
They stepped out floating in mid-air as the doors shut behind them. The gate now not in use, vanished. In disbelief, the three of them stood there for minutes. Just standing in the sky pearing down at the destruction below them, eyes peeled open wide. What was once the city of "lost angels", was now a pile burning rock and steel. Hardly anything within tens of miles was left standing. Skyscrapers uprooted from the ground and shattered back upon it. Flames billowing from random buildings stretching up to the sky. Every car within sight appeared to be thrown from where it originally was. Upside down and some impaled into buildings. Any sort of foliage that was once in mulchbeds or parks was now black, burnt, and avoid of life. The bustling metropolis that was once Los Angeles, was now a wasteland...
The center of Cairo was now close by but Caesar continued to sit atop the sphinx and look down nonchalantly at the citizens and tourists of the great city. To Caesar everything they were saying was drowned out by just what was about to happen to all of them from within his own mind. Down below people had already started to riot and some were already climbing the sides of buildings and trying to get as close to Caesar and what could be recognized as the pyramids. The sickly glow that emanated from both eyes was recognized by many as a sign of the Gods and some assumed that Caesar could have possibly been some incarnation of Ra the sun God himself.
"Its too bad I'm not." He'd responded to one of the many many yells at him from the ground where an elderly man had been babbling on about how Ra had returned to punish them for their sins and the raiding of the pyramids. Caesar had rejected this statement, only saying that wasn't the reason because he'd come merely to reek a bit more havoc. There was no question this was nearly a world wide spectacle but the simplest part of it all was the infiltration of the Olvidado that were shaped like half animal forms of humans. By the time people began to notice them among the crowds it was already too late. The people began getting torn to shreds almost immediately.
Wails and cries of horror and misunderstanding rang out through the streets as they had in Los Angeles, yet this time around not many tried to resist. The attack that was happening simultaneously in Rome during the Olympic Games was already buzzing around the city and word of the footage showed that a single female person had done this. Some heralded her as Hera, or Athena in the flesh. Caesar was amused that people could be so stupid but legends and even truth from the past easily caused such speculations.
"You shall all suffer at the hands of the Olvidado for you past sins and aggressions!!!" Caesar then caused the smallest pyramid to drop and burst through Cairo to the west as it touched the ground as gained a great boost in momentum, entire streets were pummeled into destruction and the death counts rose. Caesar sensed something wrong though, not exactly wrong but more of a warning that being overly cocky wasn't a good idea.
A powerful spiritual energy was drawing nearer as the second king amused himself by hurling the second largest pyramid through the city and stopped to wipe his forehead as catch breath, but not actually doing so. "You're already here huh?? I was wondering when you'd show up..." Caesar stared over at King Khufu's pyramid at a figure clad in dark red and white attire who's image was more blurry than physical in light and scoffed, "I know you aren't here to stop me. I'm certainly not saying it isn't within your power to probably do so however."
"Come now Caesar, we've known each other how long?? Its because of fools below us that I became what I am now, I could really care less about these human bastards. I don;t care if at some point I was one if what I've become allows me to watch their suffering but what's with this attack of yours?? First L.A, now Rome and here as well, I can see the leaders in Soul Society scrambling and breaking down, if they have even picked up on what's happening here."
Caesar looked annoyed, his eyes showed more than a bit of resentment for the clad figure that spoke in such a calm nature, "Don't ask questions, we made a deal to do what we thought best remember?? I don;t care about these people there is a much bigger goal I seek and I don't care how much interference there is, the Olvidado Kings will be victorious and...whoa." Caesar's fist bashed into the face of a dark girl that had crept up on the two during their conversation.
"Heyy!!! That hurt!!! Why would you do that?? I just wanted to see what Ra looked like up close. Some creepy monkey scorpion thin tried to kill me on the way here, so I just tore its head off." Caesar stared at the girl and didn't say anything, his eyes just glowed ever so brighter, the interest and amusement in both eyes brimming. "What's wrong with you!?!?! Stop looking at me like that. Helooooo is anything in that no face head of yours??"
The red clad man began laughing hysterically, "You've got to be kidding me?? This pansy looking brat has THAT much potential?? The times really are changing. You finish things here, I'll just make sure this one is kept watched eh??"
After such a stale command, the king nearly rolled his eyes out of exasperation, "Like you need to give me instructions. I really do dislike you at times." The other man snatched the girl and they both vanished but not before she managed to jump and kick Caesar where his nose would have been....
As Reimei, Genji and Haruka walked out of the portal. He beheld the area with a silent sense of awe. He knew that the Olvidado kings were not to be underestimated. This degree of damage was similar to what had happened when Haruka had achieved Bankai against former Captain Hikari only more widespread. He barely remembered any details of that fight from that point except black flames and a few hazy images of darkness and light fighting with each other.
He knew this fight was only just begining. He recalled the details of what Reimei told them and said: " Reimei, Genji, next move? should we look for any lone souls that need returning?"
~Head Captain Syra~
As Syra and Bryce reached the gates, they both noticed that The Brain had already left for the meeting. Before he could stpe through, a shinigami came to him. There was little time for a conversation but, he let the man speak. He told the Head Captain exactly what he was told with no errors and minor stuterring. Nodding his head, Syra couldn't believe how fast the Olvidado were moving. They had already moved out of the United States and were attacking Rome and Egypt. If he sent a force now, they probably wouldn't make it without a captain level power to back them. "What to do?" Syra asked himself. It was not often that he questioned himself but, now things wedre different.
"Rome. I'm going." Bryce said in a low voice. Syra looked back and just smiled. He knew how Bryce felt right now and he wanted the boy to succeed. "Don't get yourself killed. Akairo, can you babysit Bryce? It'll be like the old days." Syra commented before stepping through the gate that lead to South America. He cared not for the scenery truthfully so, Syra instantly made his way to the meeting. In a matter of seconds he could see The Brain already speaking to the Arrancars. He stepped out from the shadows of the trees with a big grin on his face.
"Hello. I see The Brain has kept you company and already spoken for me. So let's get down to things." Syra stated with a slight laugh though his mind was on Bryce and Akairo.
~Bryce~
Bryce eyes moved toward Akairo and the gate to Rome. "You don't have to babysit me if ya don't want to. Probably a suicide a mission at such short notice but, Rome can be saved." Bryce stated before taking several steps forward, "If you do decide to follow me though, I hope you can keep up. Give unto thy arms Althena." Reiatsu was ripped from the very ground that he stood on, forming into his shikai. Without a seconds notice, he shot forward through the gate to Rome. Within a moment, Bryce was floating in the clouds above the city. The Brain was smart to calibrate the gate to that spot as being placed on the ground would probably attract attention. The squad 11 captain dropped his Spiritual Pressure to an unrecognizable number while also feeling the spiritual pressure throughout the area.
The pressure was so high for a moment before dying back down and it pointed him in the right direction. Keeping himself high in the sky with Akairo behind him hopefully, Bryce was moving at full speed with his Shikai. Finally he came to a stop above the a stadium in Rome. The screams of agony were so loud within this one area compared to the city in other spots. Dropping from the clouds, descended into the stadium almost instantly. He crashed into the ground, causing a large tremor to shake the area. The dust cleared and Bryce was standing in the middle of the stadium. His eyes fell onto the only being who's spiritual pressure was high enough to warrent a serious look from Bryce, Queen Lunalia.
"If you really want me to back you up I'll go, I don't mind really." Bryce building up his spiritual pressure and unleashing his shikai was a feat that Akairo enjoyed watching and without further time being wasted she followed him into the gate that led to Rome, one of the greatest cities in the world, even many thousands of years after its original glory. From above the city you could see much of Rome's beauty, even the coliseum which had been rebuilt by adding the missing sections with new material and stone.
Rome currently hadn't actually taken any damage that was extreme but a lot of people had died, already their spirits were drifting around on the ground near the stadium and even in the sky, Akairo was saddened by this as many of them were attractive men who'd lost themselves because of this Olvidado threat; the kings that felt the need to cause such harm to others to prove themselves. It was unnecessary.
Bryce had already cloaked his spiritual energy and gone on ahead, which wasn't a good idea. he was so head strong and didn't even prepare. "Damn it it Bryce you idiot, what are you doing??" She raced off through the sky and caught up with him, he already had landed and was facing what appeared to be a woman in a lovely gown. She was tall and looked to be in a state of serenity which Akairo wasn't expecting.
Something caught Akairo's eye as she looked down from the sky. It was an arm that had been ripped from somebody's body. There was no way it had been cut or severed in any way because the chunks of flesh that ended it were uneven and even had tendon matter from the upper arm attached to it. The stadium was in shambles, this woman must have been an Olvidado Queen.
"Geez, was any of this necessary?? Why have you done this to these innocent people?? You're a beautiful creature but this is nothing near beautiful."
Queen Lunalia the Forgiving
After her confrontation with Rome's designated Soul Reaper had ended in his death, she found herself standing alone in the ruins of the Olympic Stadium. Its previous occupants now dead or escaped, there was no reason for Lunalia to stay, as she had a city to destroy. "It is time for me to move on. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it shall fall in no time at all." Her happiness and peace of mind were evident in her expression, and the sunlight shined down upon her in a brilliant radiance that reflected off of her fair skin. Excitement built up to the point of bursting at the thought of saving more lives. Many, many lives to be saved.
However, her desire would have to be subsided, for the moment. Just as the previous challenger had entered, another Soul Reaper entered the stadium from the new sunroof. This one though gave off a different feel, nothing like the misplaced courage cloaking the endless fear of the last one. He came prepared, a look of determination no doubt here to save Rome from the terrible monster. Should this meeting become a fight, he wouldn't keel over and die as easily as the others, this much she could tell.
Before the gracious Queen could greet her new guest, another Soul Reaper arrived. In contrast to the rest, this gorgeous woman illuminated the area with her rainbow-esque hair and eye color. She too was a strong one by the look of things. Fighting the both of them would be a good chance to awaken Lunalia's power which has remained unused for so long, but going all out so early was not a part of the plan. The High King's orders were to be followed to every last detail, and if this city was to be destroyed, nothing would stop this noble Queen from carrying out his order.
"Not Beautiful?" Lunalia spoke, addressing the statement made by the female Soul Reaper. "I suppose you are right, the basic understanding of 'ugly' and 'beauty' as defined by sight would call this 'ugly'." She turned to face them, her tone unwavering in its kindness. "As where most would take a look at you, and see nothing but beauty." Even her light footsteps could be heard as she moved in closer, coming to a stop a mere ten feet away from them.
"But that is not how we 'see' this world. We are the superior race. We are the highest form of existence possible. Yet we were imprisoned, caged like animals. All because foolish creatures like yourself 'see' us as nothing but monsters in your eyes." She took a moment to pause, her hands clasped together at her waist. Her smile vanished, but not her overwhelming compassion. Instead, her expression had a hint of sadness, as she felt sorry for those who were so misguided. "Do you know what I see here? I see Salvation. All of you poor, inferior souls, trapped in a cycle of imperfection. Always striving to achieve greatness, but always falling short. And as you suffer, we live a glorious life, reaching the pinnacle of perfection. When I think about all of this, I...I just..."
Unable to help it, a tear escaped, rolling down her cheek. In a rush, she wiped it with her clean hand and shook her head to regain her focus. "I apologize. It was rude of me to not greet you in a proper manner. My name is Queen Lunalia the Forgiving, 3rd King of the proud Olvidado race. What names shall I address you both by?"
Cerden
As soon as the Captain’s meeting came to an end, Cerden found himself taking a stroll through the Sereitei. He had many things on his mind, but most of all was how he wasn’t picked for anything. Of course, it fits right into his own laziness, but he was among the only captain who didn’t want to do anything that actually didn’t get to do anything. “Ah well, this means I get to have more me-time.” Said Cerden as he found himself in his own barracks.
Cerden took a seat at his desk, which was decorated with several of his favorite items, which wasn't much just a few folders and such. He had his own computer which had access to the World Wide Web. Cerden fancied himself a good amount of time on this World Wide Web. Today was going to be really boring for Cerden because there wasn't anything for him to do. It was nice for him to have a day off, but with nothing to do, the day off doesn't really make it worth while or anything.
Drifting off into a sleep, Cerden found himself in the inner-world of Daichishini.
"You always seem to appear when I'm on my days off, Daichishini." Said Cerden as Daichishini hovered behind him.
"Like I have a choice. You never contact me enough otherwise." Daichishini said as he then hovered over to the side of Cerden.
The two of them looked at each other, and it's suprising that Daichishini and Cerden are actually able to get along. Their personality natures are so different. Cerden is a light-headed individual, and Daichishini lives up to the Grim Reaper stereotype.
"I guess you already know that I got nothing planned. Are you up for a little training session, Daichishini"
by the look on Daichishini's face..or what could be visible, he liked the sound of that, actually. It's been five years since Daichishini and Cerden had a solid sparring session. The two of them both know each other like the back of a book and the front.
"Yeah, let's dance...partner."
"Damn..."
The curse was barely audible, muffled by the roaring of the flames below. The sky grew foggy, not because of the weather, but because of the smoke emitted from the flames. Reimi was taken aback, eyes darting back and forth for any sign of life. None seemed to be in the immediate area. A terribly frighting sight to behold. Truly the work of the Olvidado no doubt. A sigh broke the group's silence.
"Reimi, Genji, next move? should we look for any lone souls that need returning?"
Haruka's question was not amoral in any sense. But that was not what they were tasked with. "Your feelings are just Haruka, but we have priorities." Reimi's voice sounded as solid as ever. Not even that she did not believe in the process of cleansing souls. In fact, if time had not been so precious, she would have considered it. Her eyes shot over to Genji who seemed to be in a trance, the orange and vermilion colors reflecting off of his face. Reimi reached a hand to his elbow as if to bring him back to reality. "You okay?" Her face brightened up with a reassuring smile. A forced one at that.
"I don't feel any unusual spiritual pressure. I don't think it would be wise to split up into thirds too far off. I suggest staying within 200 yards of each other. That would make it much easier to scout out the area." With that said, Reimi bolted onto the 'H' of the famous Hollywood monument. With another blur, her feet ever-so-lightly graced the surface of a beam protruding from where a hospital previously stood.
"Hm...this wont be too difficult"
"Dear Lord, just look at this place. Caesar and Lunalia went off on an extreme that ended up devastating the entire city. I feel bad for these people just a tad bit, but they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time." Ptoelmy strolled through what was left of LA for several moments after arriving only to find that within minutes of him showing up, an entire squad of shinigami did after him. They'd come out near his location and he could sense they were strong, more than likely captain level or above. He could nearly taste their souls.
Whilst observing them, he became more fond of his body wrap because the things they were saying showed caring for the lost souls around but also the obviousness of them not knowing he was there.
"I don't feel any unusual spiritual pressure. I don't think it would be wise to split up into thirds too far off. I suggest staying within 200 yards of each other. That would make it much easier to scout out the area." This one was a woman, and by the looks of it she was taking control of the situation at hand. Ptolemy liked that in a woman, and frankly without even knowing her this shinigami reminded him of Boa, his lovely wife of many thousands of years to date.
Before long she ended up leaving and Ptolemy chose not to follow her she wasn't going too far anyway, his attention turned to the others, one of them looked familiar and as he walked around a building and the man came into view, Ptolemy stopped in his tracks, both expression and mind set changing. "Genji?? Is that you...."
