Was that Hundred Acre Wood at 0:10? I thought it wouldn't be in it if we have Disney Town as a mini game world.
Maybe it's a sign of Merlin being in the game in some way.

Come, now, use your brain; localization isn't nearly that long.
I'd imagine that summer or fall of that same year would roughly be the time of the North American release.

I also just noticed, the scene where Terra confronts Xehanort ("Tell me Xehanort, what have you done to his heart!?") is still in the game, but has been moved to a different location.

Not quite; if you take note of the other scenes that take place in the desert area (KH2FM+ concept video scenes), you can see that the sky, and therefore, the rocks, are darkened.
It's the exact same location, just with more dramatic atmosphere.

That's not unusual. KH2 had two minigame worlds-100 Acre Wood and Atlantica.

Brilliant trailer. Also nice to see that the secret ending is, by the looks of it, canon.

Nomura did say that the concept video was of a scene that would take place somewhere towards the end of the game.
I'm a bit too lazy to rummage around for the exact interview, but I'm fairly certain that he confirmed that relatively early in the game's creation.

Also, as a small object of interest, I noticed that in the very beginning of the spot, at about :01, you can spot Kingdom Key and the Soul Eater alongside Ven as he falls. Most interesting....

Well, I'm sure you'd rather have that song than Passion. I've always thought that Simple and Clean was a lot nicer and fitting than the other one.
