Beyond the keyhole

So from Recoded we know this:

Beyond the keyhole was a system sector that had the bugs in it and we destroyed.

My question is this; what lies beyond the keyhole? The only time I recall is going beyond was in KH I and fighting the Behemoth, but was that it? ASoD spoke of their being darkness being beyond the keyhole....isn't that where the heart to the world is? Shouldn't that mean it's filled with light?

I'm assuming you mean the keyhole that leads to KH, I haven't played Re:Coded. However, from KH1, that was Kingdom Hearts. And yes, it was light and not darkness, contrary to what ASoD expected.

I don't see how epic amounts of heartless (including Kurt Zisa and Phantom) could emerge from such a small place. Honestly, the area inside the keyhole where you fought the behemoth was REALLY empty and small.

Yes and my point was about all keyholes. Are they all like that? Where is the heart of the world? It's supposed to be inside and yet Hollow Bastion didnt show it. I wanted speculation on what you think it's like.

All Keyholes lead into the Realm of Darkness, where the Heartless reside, and where Mickey fought the Heartless there.

I kinda forgot about that. Isn't the REAL Keyhole the one Xehanort opened sometime between BBS and KH1?

Correct, and in his journals he said he found that in the basement. So I assume the so called Final Keyhole at the top of Hollow Bastion is artificial (All those machines around it kinda confirm this as well...)

Pretty much. The artificial one still had to be sealed though, as it acted pretty much the same as the real one. The fact the real one was never sealed also explains why Sora and the gang could still travel to it from Twilight town, but could not go to "closed" worlds, such as Atlantica, Olympus coliseum, halloween town, etc.
