BbS wins Famitsu's 2010 Reader Choice awards, Nom-chan comments...

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep took top spot in Famitsu's Reader Choice (or similarly named) awards for videogames in 2010. Updating the game's official Twitter, Kingdom Hearts savant Tetsuya Nomura thanked everyone for voting for Birth by Sleep and remarked that it had been a while since he has posted but he appreciates the encouragement by Kingdom Hearts fans and that they appreciate their blessings.

He also commented that he and the team are busy in production of Dream Drop Distance, and that he will enjoy reading speculation about the title in the future.

That's some awesome news! Hopefully DDD is the best installment in the series yet, because let's face it, it would be a horrible twist if nomura came back with a game that matches Days standards. And we all know the standards werent that high to begin with in that case.

That wouldn't make any sense for KH3D to be going back to Days quality... given from what we've seen of KH3D, I don't think it'll be a disappointment (well, then again a lot of the fans are going to start over-hyping the game and having unfair expectations)

BBS has to be one of the best games ever imo. I thought it was really well done and deserves this recognition. It does set my expectations high for DDD so I hope it meets those expectations and surpasses them.

It's a very popular magazine in Japan that gets a lot of subscriptions. And getting chosen to be the top spot in awards for all the video games released in 2010 shows how popular BbS is.

That's fantastic news. That makes quite a few awards BBS has won, from selling the most out of any PSP game in 2010, to having Aqua as one of the best protagonists in 2010, and now this!
