It's not hard to believe though. 9/11 created a rift between the American public view on Middle Eastern people, culture and their religion and when we have a president candidate with the name Hussein, it's easy for people to assume that he's a bad guy, no matter how ignorant that fact may be. Just the way alt of people think nowadays, pretty sad actually.

And to think, that pre-9/11.. who did he supposedly hate? Communists.. lol.. The most laughable part is that the Soviet Union wasn't even a true communist state. It was a dictatorship, but the idiots obviously couldn't tell the difference. You know, I bet that if 9/11 didn't happen, McCain would be trying to say that Obama is linked to Communism, via the "Socalist" ideas.. oh wait.. I think he is.. By the way.. Socialism =/= communism and Soviet Russia =/= communism. It's been said that we haven't even had a true communist state, based on the ideals of Lenin and Kyle Marx.. I think.. (Stalin turned Soviet Russia into a dictatorship, upon Lenin's death.)

Of course race or name shouldn't matter for one bit, but i fear it's going to be mccain. When people get to vote without others knowing what they will vote, they may still choose mccain. It's only been two hundred years ago since slavery was ended, but race still is an important issue for some. I hope it will be obama after all, he has way clearer solutions and views on issues, but gore had more votes in 2000 and some friends of the republicans in court tipped it all over.

(That's what is going to happen, whether you believe it or not). Obama's speech that he gave exactly 40 years after MLK's made me think of Rev. King's dream, and I now believe that this was it. We've still got a ways to go as a people, but this is a giant progressive step for us.
