GoNintendo » Blog Archive » Nintendo Channel December stats - Madden 09 All-Play sees lots of play, Wii Music stumbles- What are you waiting for?

*NEW ENTRY* Wii Music (Released October 2008)
Current Rank: #22 Last Month’s Rank: N/A

Raw data for “Wii Music” usage

Average time played per player:
As of 12/1: 7 hours, 28 minutes

Average number of sessions per player:
As of 12/1: 4.05 sessions
Not only are Wii Music's sales not as strong as anticipated, but now it seems that people who have bought it aren't even playing it that much.

Hopefully this will get Nintendo's head out their asses... although I have my doubts.

is this thread really necessary, i mean really. if you don't like the game you don't have to keep talking about it. Its not like if this bombs they are going to change when wii fit and mario kart already selling past 10 million and most their first party games sell past a million

and just to let you know, with the exception of Japan, Wii music sells have actually been going up and they've been doing well in other countries

People actually expected Wii Music to sell well? Is this world retarded?

Ehh...

I asked for it for Christmas.
Mostly because I didn't know what I really wanted aside from a guitar.

Wii Music is selling well.

That's good

I disagree. I think it's bad because now Nintendo knows "Okay guys, they're buying our crap still. Which means, we don't have to do any real work just yet."

I concur, either that or they are just setting us up for a good game in the long run so their using Wii Music as an example of a crappy game, or they're just making games that appeal to the crowd of people that don't really care if it's good or not as long as it's on the wii and it's super awesome to use the nunchuck and wii remote to simulate a violin, drums or a guitar :\

Not saying it's crappy but this has been done before.

Two years later and there were no block buster games on the Wii that made people's jaw drop? Not exactly the best course of action.

Well Nintendo still has time to make up for it, though with that amount of time they have had I don't know how they haven't completed such a task yet =\

*sigh*
