Dev should play Sokka, he fits that role better. tanned, big ears, sense of humor.

I'm not hopeful. Avatar's got a strong fanbase, but it's still quite a niche. I hope they're not expecting a wild success with this one; it just doesn't have the numbers, and it's not the type of movie to attract just anyone bored on a Saturday night.

Personally I'll see it for the lolz, because god knows this one'll bring them.

That, by the way, is the name of the movie, so don't move this thread.

Does anyone have a picture of the guy whose playing Aang? I've looked everywhere, but can't find one.

Re: The Last Airbender

I'll bet this movie will have a horrible twist/ending.

When hearing M. Night Shyamalan was directing this movie, I knew it was going to fail hard. I would like to see three movies based on series but, only if it had the best people working on it. M. Night Shyamalan? The lowest of the low? Come on. Just have the series creators direct the movie, they have a better shot of making it look good. Honestly, don't do at all if, it going to suck this badly. This movie will be as awkward as Prince of Persia and Dragon Ball Z.

A movie hardly ever does any justice for books, tv shows, etc. I hope they don't screw it up to much. :/

Well since the creators of the tv show will be producers so I think they'd step in if M. Night Shyamalan decides to add in a twist.

I heard that Jesse McCartney was gonna play Zuko.

No, he's not. Zuko is being played by Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire.

Uh, the creators of the show aren't producing the movie.
