Yeah, we all have to agree that despite Jackie Chan being a kick ass martial artist as well as an incredible stuntman, his acting is crap. He can barely speak English. Most of his movies are action movies, so acting doesn't even matter, but still.

Same goes with Jet Li and basically every person that does kung-fu movies.

The preview for the movie actually looked okay. It'll take Fox-level (coughdragonballcough) failery to ruin this movie. At least the creators will be watching over it's screenwriting and production.

Again, the race issue is old, just get over it.

In a way, they're kind of separating the nations by races:

The Water Tribe is white people,

the Fire nation is Indian people (look at the casting for Zuko, Ozai, and Iroh),

the Air Nomads are...well whatever the fuck you wanna call Noah Ringer,

and as for Earthbenders, they'll probably be Asian-looking, because one earthbender has already been cast and here is a pic:

He's kinda Asian...



Anyways, just let go of the race issue: what's done is done. What really matters is how good the acting and directing are. If the movie ends up being a solid performance, I don't give a shit if Aang is black.

Well this all just ticks me off...

I truly do think that the movie effects and story will most likely be amazing
(though I'm sure a lot of cutting from the story will happen..)
, yet I have a feeling that the characters and portrayal itself of the Avatar world will be pathetic in comparison.

I mean look at the characters they cast for the main roles!
I don't think any of them capture the role of the characters they are playing...

Yet I digress.
Everything aside we can't say much until we see more from this hopeful masterpiece...
I can't wait 'til they release some more trailers and actor assignments XD

EDIT: And yes, I think Katara looks WAY younger than she's supposed to be. I mean, she is older than Aang, right?
