Another movie not related to the series is being released this year so they change the title not to confuse anyone.

Well you're a little late dude, it's been known for a while that the casting is way off as far as races go, and most people have decided to live with that fact as long as the acting itself ends up being good.

I mean I Am Legend ended up being a decent movie, and in the original novel Robert Neville was white.

So IMO the race issue can be overlooked if they do a good job with the movie.

NOT LIKE THAT! and if he is going to act all sappy and mad because of his scar, they better make the scar more intense, because if not people are going to call him a crybaby for complaining over a scar like that that isn't even that noticeable in the movie.

I agree. This movie isn't anything like the series, well, the actors arn't. White people playing roles in a universe where white people don't exist? Hm.
I guess we'll see how it goes. Hopefully it won't be too horrible? The effects look nice from the pictures/the trailer.

Again, the race issue is old, just get over it.

In a way, they're kind of separating the nations by races:

The Water Tribe is white people,

the Fire nation is Indian people (look at the casting for Zuko, Ozai, and Iroh),

the Air Nomads are...well whatever the fuck you wanna call Noah Ringer,

and as for Earthbenders, they'll probably be Asian-looking, because one earthbender has already been cast and here is a pic:

He's kinda Asian...



Anyways, just let go of the race issue: what's done is done. What really matters is how good the acting and directing are. If the movie ends up being a solid performance, I don't give a shit if Aang is black.

It's just kind of funny that water tribe and fire nation have exchanged skin color. Whatevs, I want good actors, not character look-alikes, and it's a sad fact that a lot of asian acting sucks. Death Note live action anyone?
