Ansem the Wise and Kairi

This thought occured to me recently. It seems that Kairi's grandmother lived in the castle at Radiant Garden which is where Ansem, as he was the ruler of that world, and presumably Kairi lived. There are two ideas that I have had(and others may have had this thought) which are that Ansem is either Kairi's grandfather or father. The fact that Kairi doesn't recognize him is because it has been a long time since she had seen him last. As for him not recognizing her as his daughter or granddaughter, I have an explanation for that as well. He hasn't seen her in a long time, plus he was trapped in the Realm of Darkness for some time and it could have messed up his memory.

Ansem seems to be an older man even in BBS so thats why I think he might be her grandfather, instead of her father, and her grandmother's husband. Maybe her parents died and she lived with her grandparents. Also, Ansem seemed to have taken in Ienzo (more than the other apprentices, even Xehanort) as a son by the way he treated him in BBS so Kairi and Ienzo are stepbrother and stepsister.

This was just a random thought that I had that I decided to post. It is most definitely irrelevant, but I want to see what all of you think about it. Something to think about.

I find it more likely that the castle (or at least the library) is open to the public.

They didn't live in the castle. Kairi and Kairi's Grandmother walk off into the town to go home in BBS. I'm certain the library was open for use, though. Ansem didn't seem the type to lock his residents out of his home unless he was doing some experiment that required privacy.

Ansem wasn't a "king" he was the ruler. RG seems to be doing fine without Ansem or Ienzo so I'm assuming there's someone else handling the politics.

Ansem was never "King" to begin with. He was the ruler of the world. I also bet not one person in the world even connects Ienzo to what happened to their homeworld considering it was Maleficent who ran them away after the Heartless invasion. And he sure as hell wouldn't become ruler. He's never been one for a position of power and likes to observe from a distance.

If we're offering up rulers, though, I'd say Laguna Loire would be a perfect candidate. Laguna for President 2012!

Kairi is not a princess by blood. The status of her Heart is what makes her a Princess of Heart. Look at Belle who was just a girl living in a small provincial town. Or Alice who was just a normal girl (or if we want to take the Tim Burton movie into consideration, she was the daughter of a trader)

Ienzo is his adopted son? Are you sure this is the case? I don't remember anybody saying anything about this. I know that AtW is somewhat of a guardian or carer to him, but adopted son? Source please?

If you're talking about the Secret Movie at the end of BBS i don't remember anything being said about it.
