animating

i want to start animating sprites but i need to know what program is good to start with

I use Phtoshop CS3 for my sprites
But if you don't feel like torrenting it or buying it, the best free software I've found is unFREEz, which is the simplest thing. ever.

Both are linked.

Eximious is much more simple but a pain in the ass because everything is clustered and precise.
Animation shop doesn't have as much freedom but frames fly so much smoother. Kind of have to conglomerate both.

i use photoshop and adobe premiere because they are both good for animating and pulling frames out clips and etc. I think photoshop cs3 is good if your experience at animating or your going to be confused.

Not if you use a tutorial > > It's actually quite easy

I use Jasc Animation Studio 3. It's free if you search for it on google. I create the frames on Paint and import them into it
