She was truly a one-of-a-kind star. So many films, she was always a highlight in no matter what she would do--TV, Broadway, films. And that's even though she was never a leading lady type in that last category--nevertheless she's one of the greatest villains of all time in The Manchurian Candidate, for example. She just had such a great personality, so likable and down-to-earth, but at the same time so elegant. No surprise she and Betty White lived so close to 100, they both had such positive energy.

There are always big losses every year, but Carroll and Lansbury have both hit me hard. I think before now, really the only other big celebrity deaths that hit me like this were Whitney Houston and Joan Rivers. :( Rest in peace.

Aw man, not Angela Lansbury! she was a phenomenal actress, even when not portraying Mrs. Potts. I've got a bit of a weird interest in murder mysteries and her portrayal of Jessica Fletcher in Murder she wrote was always amusing, and sometimes hilarious.
