You're obviously shy and it's just a confidence matter on your part.

Since your holidays are coming up, it'd be a great way to get his number. Just a simple "Hey, so it's holidays soon and I won't get to talk to you in class. Any chance I could get your number?". Don't play it out in your head otherwise it'll fall flat and sound rehearsed. Just do it.

Ok,dont be shy and just do something like :

Hey Kendale,I want to stay int touch with you over the summer,canI have your number?

Or something like that.
