Okay, so for the most part, canon stuff is out. What about a Kingdom Hearts RP featuring a full cast of OCs? The worlds could even be original. Not sure if this changes your view on it at all, just a suggestion. Also, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "the right cast." I assume you mean talented roleplayers that are good at playing the personalities of canon characters. Would you mind explaining a bit more in depth?

KH roleplays with largely canon characters are utterly unappealing to me. By 'right cast' I usually mean some of the people who I'm friends with, or who I generally know to be fun and/or decent-quality roleplayers. Usually they each have recurring mannerisms or archetypes for their characters, but it's never been about their ability to roleplay canon characters, because they nearly always make their own for that setting.
I completely agree, hence why I suggested an RP with mostly/all original characters. I tend to have a lot more fun when people use OCs, regardless (more-or-less) of the RP. Also thank you for explaining what you meant by "the right cast." That makes sense. In an effort to keep the discussion moving, do you have any settings/stories/themes that you would like to explore within a KH RP?
Personally, I would love to have an RP set up like Birth by Sleep but with original characters. The main cast would consist of Keyblade masters and apprentices, probably one or more groups of light Keybearers versus one or more groups of dark Keybearers.
It would also be interesting to play a KH RP with little to no Keybearers in the main cast. Not sure how exactly that would run, but a Nobody-central campaign comes to mind.
That actually sounds quite nice. I would join that as well.

Nothing that can really be drawn further out of the canon, or that hasn't been done before. I leave the coming-up-with-KH-stuff to other people.
I also had a New Organization vs Keyblader Apprentices roleplay around the same time as TWEWY 1D, but it fell through too because no one expressed interest, the bastards.
Evangeline was going to be Game Master or Conductor.
Ah, I see. That's alright, I'm sure I can pluck something from my imagination. If I come up with an idea I'll post it here (or just make an OOC if I end up developing it enough).
Bastards indeed. Organization versus Apprentices certainly sounds like a lot of fun to me. I like that idea, the TWEWY idea, and your original setting idea, to be honest. They all sound fun.

If you're looking for a KH roleplay, might I suggest KH: Eclipse? I currently have it closed, but with dwindling posts by current cast members, I was thinking of opening it up to a few people. Not to blow my own horn, but it contains quite a bit of originality, while still following the feel of Kingdom Hearts.

It's probably suffered the most from my laxness, but it may suffer longer still. I've totally fallen out of that roleplay, sad to say :c
Well, try to get back into it. As is, with Joey busy, and Endless and Fair AWOL, me and Ven are dragging the story along at a limp. =/

Okay well, I looked at the OOC for Kingdom Hearts: Eclipse. My first impression: it's quite a dark setting for a Kingdom Hearts roleplay. It seems to integrate elements that aren't typically seen in the series, such as a higher level of maturity. This isn't a criticism, just as observation.
However, past the first page of the OOC, I'm really not sure how to pick out the essential information. Would you mind giving me an overview of the events at present?

The story follows a small group of Rebellion members who seek a way to defeat the Eclipse King, a powerful man who has conquered the vast majority of the worlds, all the while trying to survive his army--consisting of the Reavers, metal constructs powered by hearts, and his Marshals, who are exceptionally talented individuals who swear their loyalty to him--and seeking safety in the few remaining rebellion-aligned worlds.
The events of the roleplay, thus far, begins when the Eclipse King leads a strike against Radiant Garden, ultimately conquering one of the last few free worlds and forcing the stationed rebellion members to flee. Unable to reach the other rebellion worlds, the rebellion members travel the worlds in three groups (which, unfortunately, we skipped past for the sake of continuing the story), until they managed to gather at Traverse Town. However, they learn that one among their numbers to be a traitor, and after a short confrontation with the Eclipse Army, Merlin teleports the party to safety, leaving the world to--eventually--be conquered. They are now in the Pride Lands, where they learn the Eclipse King is there as well.

Alright then, seems simple enough. So, you were thinking of re-opening it due to low activity of current members, right? Are you looking for more Rebellion or more Eclipse characters?
Either or. We're approaching the end of the second chapter, and the start of the third would prove the most opportune (and logical) time for others to join.
Sounds good. I'll try to follow the Chapter two thread and keep and eye out for Chapter three. I'm not saying for sure that I'll join, but it is a good possibility. Thanks again for the invitation!
Have you guys considered that maybe the site itself should have a main RP series that players can actually progress their character, form bonds and get stronger via a stat system instead of continually doing RP one shots. I've been here for nearly four to five years (maybe more) and it's still the same one shot direction.
