A0ge: 24

Gender: Female

Weapons:

Sword of Asi: A sword crafted from various metals across the galaxy and realms. This sword has seen coutless battles with Shlay. It's almost as if it has a will of its own. It's seems to dislike heartless and beings of such caliber, but quivers in the presence of a Keyblade. The blades connection to threads of reality allow it to see the intent of a person upon being wielded by it.

Insignia: Shlay has Insignia on several locations of her body. Two on each sleeve and glove, one under each foot, and one on her back. These markings allow her to utilize an enhanced version of her arts, through that location. The insignia grant her body a very finite boost in her connection to elemental substances and the circulation of her chi energy. Naturally, she can command both through either side of her body, but the majority of the insignia are only half of the whole insignia, which resides on her back.

Cloak of Wisdom: Her cloak has an insignia on each arm that boost the circulation of her chi energy whenever she uses her praise ability. On the back there is a complete version of the insignia, which boost her magic level, chi energy, and connection to her environment upon use of her praise ability to the third level.

Gloves of the Magic Arts: The gloves on each hand have matching insignia that raise her magical abilities upon use of her praise ability.

Boots of Diligence: Each boot has an insignia on it that enhances her connection to her environment.

Abilities:

Praise: Shlay asks the great deities watching over the balance of the universe for a boost in abilities. This can be done through three different manners, each of which escalating in solidity and harmonious discord. The longer the prayer the stronger and longer the boost.

1.) Breath: Through briefly focusing on the flow of her body's energy Shlay can call upon the use of her insignia on a level one scale. This boost can vary from one really strong punch, to upgrading her fire to fira. This level is ended as soon as the action is commenced, and mostly a social thing.

2.) Festival: The second level of praise is always utilized in session with an incantation. The longer the incantation and stronger the emotions she puts into it, it rises the stability, as well as the immensity of the boost, and is a sustained activated. It gives her body an all around permanent version of the first boost. It ends by thanking the Gods and closure of the prayer session.

3.) Psalm: Her third level of praise is done through incantation and strict ritual guide lines. This form of praise usually requires the construction of another insignia, very particular words and phrases, and must be activated through either her magic insignia, or chi insignia. This power has only been talked about through her sword, but is said that the powers are given to the activator and are only effective while in the surface area of the insignia.

Magick: Shlay knows the most primitive form of magic. She may manifest her own elemental prowess, or existing elements around her. She can control all first level magic skills as if they were her own.

Kinesis: Shlay can control inanimate objects in her immediate touch, from levitation to shooting it. The insignia enhance the drive of her chi energy, allowing the destruction to be enhanced. It was forbidden to utilize these abilities on living structures. The arts where said to be lost with the hands of time, due to their destruction.

Portals: Allowing her to travel from world to world, Shlay may conjure light portals by utilizing the insignia on her left side and her back.

Appearance: Shlay

Personality: At heart she is a warrior that has often been accused of being a guy. Throughout her life she has been continuously misunderstood as heartless. Due to her understanding the effects of her blade, she hides her emotions from others, and often shy's away from human touch. She relies heavily on her comrades being able to handle themselves in situations, and does not show sympathy in most occasions. Though she barricades herself in a fortress of indifference, she is actually a calm girl, afraid of losing a loved one

Bio: She was born in Agrabah. Raised in a street rat gang know as the Badges, Shlay followed no rules and roamed the streets with one mission. Survive. Though the badges had nothing they had compassion, honor, and most of all each other. They followed a strict code and stood for justice. Only taking from those who took from others. Since she was a girl she was made to be strong, but her lean physique made her the distraction of every heist. Upon the age of 12 they learned of the cave of wonders. The Badges ventured into the depths of the cave and fell into the pits. In an instant, childhood friends where split by the hands of fate. When Shlay awoke she found her way through the caves and found a room with a dark portal. She roamed through the portal and ended up in the Land of Dragons. Being a 12 year old with the body of an 18 year old, she was raised as a soldier of a small rebel remnant of the Hun. While in the mountains the Hun where pillaging the caves and ran into a Taoist group. These Alchemist killed them all and spared the girl. Their spiritual intuition could tell that she was scared of this new world, and they kept her away from society, teaching her the wonders of their Religion, Alchemy, and Spirituality.

By the ripe age of 18 she had come to know all there was to know about their spiritual knowledge. Though she misunderstood the religious tip, she was able to at least learn the foundation of that and alchemy. Upon reaching true adulthood, she told them she was ready for the world and was given her blade and garments. The next 4 years of her life, she was a soldier of the Emperors army. She utilized this time to hone in on her martial arts. At the end of this time she became the leader of an elite squad of 20, and gained the trust of her comrades. Little did they know, her sword would soon regain consciousness from the years of blood shed. During the 5th year her squad became the shadow of the emperor, due to her sudden incline in abilities. Upon raiding an enemy stronghold, hidden within a village, they where ambushed and she lost herself to her sword for the first time. Upon awakening she was atop the emperors castle with no one in sight.

Within the next few days she was told that her team was slaughtered by some monster and the enemy stronghold had been apprehended. She was then moved to a smaller team of 5. Under the management of their leader they where sent on various missions similar to the the one before she blacked out. During these missions her sword began to have a faint quake, and after these missions she had dreams of her squad killing citizens and raping women. As the dreams progressed she finally heard the voice of her sword. It called to her, "Blank..." After her next mission she knew this dream would solve the mystery of her teams death. After she awoke from the dream, she knew that she had slaughtered her team, but she did not feel guilty. Seeing things through the emotion of the sword, she almost felt glad. She despised criminals like that and began to long for her old street rat comrades. Shlay decided on her next mission she would leave the Army found her way back to the monks to strengthen her magick ability, as well as learn about the sword. They taught her the sacred art of constructing light portals, and the simplicity of the elements, within several weeks, but shun her from ever coming back. She was given no answers about the sword and was forced to walk her path alone.

Other: Likes cats, clear skies, and knows the lyrics to Hakuna Matata, and lastly... "I'll always be there to bring you back!"

Re: That Guy Without A Keyblade/ A New Style

Good template, but there's a few things that I'd like you to look at before I can approve it:

• Make sure you post the password that's in the rules!
• Your character does have a lot of abilities that could become overpowered in the RP. I highly suggest either removing some abilities (Anti-Form definitely sounds overpowered, and Kinesis sounds like it could become overpowered, too) or toning down on those abilities, like adding in an explanation of the Kinesis level Blank can use, removing the light portals ability, etc. All of the characters in this RP are set more at a basic level in terms of abilities, so keep this in mind. You can always unlock new abilities later through missions and stuff, but, right now, you need to tone down on Blank's abilities.

And that's it! Once you fix those things, let me know and I'll check your template again~ Thank you! c:

Ok! I finished the temp. I saw that there was a whole space of information missing. Kind of glad you pointed that out. I hope she isn't over-powered now. Plus I added Ven! I hope he isn't taken haha

Re: That Guy Without A Keyblade/ A New Style

Yay, much better now! :D And you're welcome~ Sorry you had to scrap some stuff, but I'd rather prevent godmoding as much as possible >.<

But everything looks fine, so you're accepted! c: You can start posting in the first event thread and, once that's finished, you can start your own RPs! Have fun!

Ummmm... good question... I honestly didn't realize that there were two versions xD; I guess go with one? The story's not canon, so he can be younger or older.

Cyber Samurai/ Meta-Tempest

Name: Shiro Kai

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Weapon:

Katana of Wonders: His blade that has been resting within the cave of wonders for who knows how long. It's make and build are completely different from the era and age of the world it was in, but what else is to be expected from the Cave of Wonders. It's size and weight are immense, making it hard to handle without his mechanical arm. If not on his back, he drags it leaving a scar behind him.

Gauntlet Qilin: A metal given to him by his master X'. It has a 4 gear setting that enhances its users prowess. For Shiro, it also has been calibrated to the mysticism of his blade.

Abilities:

IV Gear Gauge: On his cyber arm there is a glowing circle. This circle represents the current standing of his body and its enhancements.

  1. Color: Represents the boost on his body. They can be joined giving off other colors such as purple green and orange. Clear means no boost. Black is an overdrive.

  • Red: Strength. All around attack boost.
  • Blue: Defense. All around defense boost.
  • Yellow: Stamina. A boost in speed, agility, and dexterity.

  1. Vibrancy: Represents the time left for the boost.

  • Blinking: The light blinks on and off.
  • Dull: A smoky shade.
  • Bold: An undeniable shine.

  1. Tone: Represents the strength of the boost.

  • Bright: Average boost.(e)
  • Shining: High boost. (a)
  • Brilliant: Mega boost. (ga) (Locked)

  1. Overdrive: Shiro's transformation phase.

  • Corrupt: First stage. His strength and defense are heightened. His Stamina is weakened, but his range in mobility is heightened. He uses his sword to attack. His elemental attribute is darkness, and he can heal himself when attacked by thunder and fire attacks. Elemental opposites do critical damage. Other magic is weakened.
  • Improved: Second Stage. His Defense is heightened from it's previous level. While his Stamina is raised and leveled with his Strength from its previous boost. His mobility is confined to that of his regular body. His elemental attribute is light. Other magic principles are the same as his first stage. (Locked)
  • Xcellent: Final Stage. All stats are raised to his defense level, ultimately giving him an all around mega hyper boost. His speed and attack are devastating, while is defense is not for the weak of heart. Fist level elements heal him while others are weakened. While he can manipulate the power of light and darkness, his magic exceeds their boundaries, allowing a mesh of light, darkness, and sheer will power. (Locked)

Raging Will: Shiro's heart is so powerful that he can physically manifest his will. In Agrabah gypsies did this to tell the future or create ancient magick. Shiro's will was known as The Shifting Winds. He seemingly controls the wind at will, giving him the ability to create fire and light elements through friction.Though most with this power literally control the free element at will, Shiro's technique is more of a buffing magic.
He uses this power to lighten the weight of his blade, body, and items withing his touch, as well as hasten and strengthen his strikes.

Drive: Shiro has a unique sense of life and intuition which grants him an ability to visualize his opponents tenacity and vigor. By closing his eyes and sensing with his heart, he can see the world in a new light. Most people have a small light coursing and cycling through their body. While other such as Shlay have a searing light bursting from their center and shrouding their position in a flourishing array of colors. His other senses are heightened as well, but his vision is irrefutably the most consistent and intricate vision that you could ever encounter.

Appearance: Shiro

Personality: Shiro was originally your average cool kid. Everybody loved him. He was adventurous, spontaneous, and simply enjoyed the simple things in life. His new and improved version, has gained a sense of self-precedence, leaving a scar of loneliness on his face, and a lost of purpose in his heart. He no longer has sight of what he truly wants, due to his lack of happiness, and now traverse the worlds to serve the cause of his master, instead of his own.

Bio: Shiro is the leader of the Badges! The Badges are a small Vigilante group of street rats, formed to clean the streets of dirty law enforcement. Shiro started off as your normal adolescent, street rat. Roobing stands, pillaging the bizarre, snatching wallets. The usual deviant Agrabah activities, but that was the toddler life in Agrabah. At least those who could walk and function as normal people. Shiro and his gang of rugrats would sneak out of their daycare facilities and ravage the town. At first it was not but fun and care for their families. Shiro had the dagger and close range tactics, while everyone else accompanied him from a distance or the shadows.

After a year of their joyous plights, Shiro founded the Badges and began their first task. Their small team of 6 regularly caused scenes within alleys and disturbed the peace, so that true justice may be served, and the palace guards couldn't get away with their shady maneuvers. It was on their first established year that they gained an infant on their team. She was an adorable little thing. Sadly, they couldn't stop the Mom from her untimely fate. So, they took her in, made sure that all the things their parents didn't teach them were taught to her, and trained her for success. Though for the first 5 years she remained on Shiro's chest, back, or somewhere on his shoulders. Shiro decided that they would call her Blank Shlay, or at least Shlay for short. It was like a new page added to there book of friends.

5 years of training Shlay to be their most honorable member eventually paid off. Shlay was truly the only one who could keep up with Shiro. They became an unstoppable duo, recognized throughout their sector as, Those Street Rats With Air Support. Eventually the rest of the gang gained recognition for their hard work and effortsl giving the Badges and Shiro an official place in keeping the city clean. It was around this time that Shiro had began to leave the care of the Badges in Shlays hands. The crew would make the plan, and she would enforce it. Shiro had decided to go on a solo mission in the desert. He had heard of the Cave of Wonders and wondered just how wondrous it was.

Upon arrival, Shiro found himself in awe. So much gold and glistening, that he couldn't fathom what to do with it. Almost instantly he fled to the entrance and was halted by a hooded figure. He almost could make out the face, but he was in such a hurry he bounced back without checking. The hooded figured stated, "Your destiny rest within these caves. If you return... Then your life, as you know it, will end." Shiro wanted to believe them, but then he thought to himself, What can one hooded female do? Shiro closed his eyes and stated, "You must not know... I'm the leader of the Badges. Don't take me lightly." Charging towards the hooded figure, Shiro was staggered by an overwhelming sensation. Something with a power so celestial that he couldn't exactly pinpoint it. When he opened his eyes he saw that there was a portal wisping away and another spawning a few yards into the cave. The hooded figure came out and said, "Your choice! Just work on that."

Shiro raced back to the city and was greeted by the Badges at their headquarters. Since the guards didn't really like them, they had to keep their base secret and outside the city. Shiro was trying to figure out how to tell his friends about the cave. His ultimate conclusion was straight forward and to the point. He ended his conversation saying, "So that's that. I don't think we're ready to conquer this bout. But! When we are..." Shiro pointed to the young Shlay and stated, "She will let us know. So what do you say Blank?" Shlay looked down and nodded in uncertainty.

Shiro waited for half a year and asked Shlay again. Then another half a year, before asking a second time. Though their traffic had picked up in town, Shiro could tell that Shlays mind was elsewhere. Shiro finally leveled with Shlay and started to embark on journeys with his crew. They began to travel the vast desert and settle various task in the town. A month after Shlays birthday, Shiro asked, "So you think we're ready to tackle the mystical Cave of Wonders?" Shlay answered, "Let's get this over with." Upon arrival at the cave, the Badges charged towards the back. Shiro waited at the entrances to make sure the cloaked women didn't arrive through the front. That's when he spotted her. She was standing atop an elevated platform. Shiro screamed, "Badges! Let's go! Times up for this raid, we'll get more next time!" As the Badges assembled back towards the entrance, the ground began to shake.

Shiro cried, "Badges! Drop the treasure! Let's go!" His team began to fall into a pit on the side of the, now apparently, floating platform. As the ground tipped his members into the darkness of the cave, Shiro charged towards the girl. Shlay was holding her ground, but the others had all been tossed into the darkness. Shiro was a few feet away from the cloaked figure before she walked into a portal, and disappeared from sight. Shlay yelled for Shiro and couldn't hold on much longer, but Shiro was determined to save her. He shot towards the pit and raced to save her. Before he could reach her she slipped towards the darkness, and time seemingly stopped.

Shiro watched as the ones he loved and was raised with feel to the depths of this mystic Cave. He then decided he would not let this happen so whimsically. Shiro released his grip from the platform and chased after her. He finally caught her within the depths of the pit and halted his fall. Luckily there was a sword jutting from the walls. Shiro decided that she would survive no matter what. The sword was slowly loosening from its stone scabbard. Shiro smiled, realizing that everything the girl said had came to past. As the sword dropped from the wall. Shiro released a war cry, stalling his fall, followed by a wind slicing charge down the wall. The darkness consumed his sight of the bottom, then suddenly he was presented with the ground. In his last efforts of survival he tried to slam the sword into the wall, but instead his arm was ripped from the socket and Shlay fell on top of him.

Shiro awoke to the untimely shine of the sun. His body seemed younger... His voice softer... Shiro was having this ongoing dream. Everything so perfect. Then it all ends with his life crumbling on top. How many times had he seen this? It had to have been at least 12. His life was a movie set on repeat. A timeline of events that continued to cycle through his mind, but it seemed so real... How do I break from this Nightmare! It was hopeless... I think I thought this on the fourth time. His timeline was shattering before him. Events scattered and fleeting. Then he heard a voice. "You ready? Shiro?" As he answered and reached towards the light in front of him it called again, "Shiro? When will you wake up!? I never knew you were such a slacker." Shiro broke from the light and realized his current position. A pod seemingly designed in the appearence of a flower.

Other: Badges theme song Shiro to Shlay
"I'll always be there to bring you back!"

This aura around her blade can be shot in various forms as well, such as orbs, beams, or burst, and are commonly used in various combinations throughout her battles. X's mastery of this technique has only begun.

Appearance: X'

Personality: An adventurous, lively, warrior of spunk. X' is your outgoing, oblivious, run you through type of person. Very easy to get along with, hot-tempered, yet easily amused.

Bio: X' was born in the Land of the Dragons. She was a hunter by day, and a vigilante by night. While she was still young she asked a fortune teller about her future and was told, "One day you will meet a knight, worthy of your companionship, in a room of shining splendor. The bellows of darkness will aid your distance. Lending you an ally that will be irreplaceable." From that day X' took on the warriors spirit hoping to find this room of shimmering splendor. X' lived in a no name village of merchants. Her parents weren't of any help, and her education was sacrificed for survival. X' learned how to use various tools and fix stands. Eventually, she was known as a natural with machinery and became a handyman for all things needing repair.

Up to the age of 12, X' worked hard on upgrading her talents and aiding the repairman in his blueprints and duties. Soon her endeavors claimed the attention of nearby villages. The town had been upgraded from the normal marsh of poverty, to a prosperous land of technology. The emperor set his eyes on their land and wanted to make it an attraction, as a gift for all the merchants who lived there. After the age of 17 she realized that the power of darkness was something that she harbored. Surprisingly, her incline in power was accompanied with an incline in crime. This is where her vigilante days began.

For years she conquered baddies and outsiders in her village. Soon she stumbled across the power to teleport through the Corridors of Darkness. On her first venture through the the confines of such pure and potent darkness, something happened. Whatever it was, she became obsessed with building mechanized appendages. It was like her mind was opened to a new aspect of life. She was visiting various worlds and paths between, all for the sake of gaining material, but she had yet to find the correct material to stabilize her creations. Then she found a green substance called, Orichalchum. A rare substance that gave her machinery life! From then on she was bent on finding more so that she could make an army of these androids, but then she met a travelling monk.

The monk spoke of the Orichalchum and stated that it was a rare rock that help a certain character which was rich in things not only sense by the physical realm, but the realms between. Since she had knowledge of these realms she was less worried than expected, but the monk told her of a legend. It dealt with a wondrous cave and how it was filled with a magical substance called gold. It's luster and grace matched that of the Orichalchum and also marched it in value. Then her brain rushed to find the cave. It was as if she was meant to be there. Once she found her way to the world known as Agrabah, she asked around.

Apparently the cave was only a myth. Not many knew of its whereabouts, if they knew of it at all. When she did find out its location, she was being followed by a young teenager. He was watching her throughout the city, but somehow she couldn't pinpoint exactly where he was. She learned this kid had branched from his family with the hopes of keeping the streets safe and fell in love with his determination. She stuck around a little bit. Watching as the marched throughout the city with his gang. Quite impressive, X' thought, but would he leave with her? She decided to make her way to the cave. Once she arrived the kid arrived shortly after her. She had no chance of persuading him of her origin, so she lied her way out of it. His anger caused him to leave in rage, but that's all she needed. Suddenly the room began to shake, and the entrance was shut. She left by portal and thought this would be perfect.

X' enhanced her original design and continued to go back to the Cave to gain more material, and checked on the boy on occasions. Eventually him and his team had decided to make their way to the Cave. When they did she watched and waited to appear at the perfect time, and when she did, his world fell apart. She found him no a platform at the bottom. An arm torn from his shoulder, one of his comrades wrapped in one arm, and a sword clutched in his detached hand. X' panicked but knew if nothing was done he would die. She removed the girl from ontop of him and brought him along on her shoulder. X' had brought the boy to the world of Twilight Town. A peaceful town that had its share of wonder as well.

After her machines failed to function X' had to visit other worlds to find the right substance to make her works of art function correctly. This is when she stumbled across Twilight Town and it's mysterious mansion. There where pods made to harbor people in need of operation, and she decided that she would utilize them when the time was right. Now that she had found a test subject and a location to operate, she grabbed her projects from the Land of Dragons and moved her base to the mansion. She thought the boy would never awake from his slumber, but almost like a answer to her prayers the day finally came. And alarms sounded in the computer room.

Other: X' walks up to Shiro and states,
"I'll always be there to bring you back!"

Re: [PENDING] That Guy Without A Keyblade/ A New Style

Your new templates sound fine, but make sure that the characters aren't overpowered in the event and story threads~ (You may want to tone down their attacks just a little bit, especially Shiro's.) Otherwise, they're accepted! :D
