almost everytime me or my family trys to play a PS2 game it almost always says disk read error, we tryed cleaning the disks but it still is saying that. is the problem with the disks since it does not do it for some of the disks, or is it a problem with our PS2?

it depends if the disk is badly scratched up no matter what you do it wont work you might want to try and clean your ps2's lens with a lens cleaner.

is it an older model if so you might wanna take it into a shop also was it new or used and how long has this been happening.

it's not used, and it has been happening for a while now.

Some old games dont work on the new ps2. So if its the newer model, that could be the problem. Other wise if you still have the receit (dont know if i spelt that right) go trade it in for another one.
