A Challenge (to anyone)

Gotcha. Canis saw it coming and summoned a huge batch of clones. "RYUKIN!" Canis threw five of them in the air as the rest surrounded Sophia. "PIN- CUSHION!" About a hundred needles surrounded Sophia, coming down on her like torpedos. "It's over for you now!"

 

[Wheepop]

A nice move, but he is forgeting the platform that is still propelling him upward. She surrounded herself with a sphere of energy and then pushed it rapidly outwards. Needles flew out and scattered all over the sky, piercing some of the clones. The energy also pushed on her makeshift platform, propelling Canis up even faster. After he was high enough, she flipped the platform over and changed his direction, sendind him on a crash course with the ground.

 

[qster]

"CRAAAAAP!!!! WHY HAVEN"T WE DEVELOPED WINGS YET?!?!?" Canis yelled as he was hurling towards the ground. He saw a couple birds on his way down, but that just made it worse. Finally, he released the birds and summoned a bunch of clones on the ground ready to catch him. As he sped toward the ground, he made more clones to cover a higher area. He was caught by five of them and he had them all join hands. He made them into a makeshift rope and tossed it toward Sophia's land pillar, trying to force it down. As he did that, he summoned more to create Canis ropes and drag it down.

 

[Wheepop]

She saw the clones heading towards the enery pillar, and decided that it didn't give her enough of an advantage to waste time defending it, so she made herself a floating platform and returned to the ground. She then purposely caused the pillar to collapse, crusing the extra clones. She saw that Canis had not moved from the spot that he had been caught on, and that the platform used to fling him down was still heading down. She focused on this platform, causing it to become heavier. Then Sophia flung it down hard, intending to squash Canis flat with the force.

Canis saw a dark shadow surround him and looked up, seeing Sophia coming down with her platform. He rolled out of the way and dashed back once it landed. He jumped over the shockwaves and jumped on top of Sophia. "Why are we even fighting in the first place?" Canis said to Sophia, trying to keep her on the ground. Seeing as that didn't work, he forced her into a chokehold with his knife and repeating his question over and over.

 

[Wheepop]

"Well, I...don't know. I guess I thought you were attacking me before..I do tend to be a little paranoid." she gasped, still in Canis' chokehold. Then Sophia knocked him in the face with the pommel of one of her swords and used the moment of surprise to shove him off. She shrugged and waited for his reply.

 

[qster]

"Interesting, I was thinking the same." Canis said, wiping the blood off the area she hit him. "How about we continue, without killing each other of course, more of a spar." Canis said to Sophia, smiling. He held out his hand to her, seeing if they could be friends.

 

[Wheepop]

"Works for me." she said, grinning back. "Sparring it is." She grabbed his outstretched hand as if she was going to shake it...and then flipped him over her shoulder.

 

[qster]

Getting off the ground, Canis pulled out his knife and needles. He rushed toward Sophia and threw the needles at her feet, trying to keep her from moving. After that he tackled her onto the ground, while pinning her clothing to the ground, binding her to the ground.

 

[Wheepop]

She focused her energy on the needles, pulling them all out of the ground at once. Then she started moving her swords using her power, slashing at Canis. While Sophia did this, she rolled out from under him and stood up as he dealt with the swords. She also set up another invisible barrier in front of her. Instead of being level, this one slanted up towards the air. She recalled her swords and waited for his next move.

 

[qster]

"Eat this." Canis said as he leaped at Sophia, feet first. His legs hit the forcefield she made so he rebounded off of it and went the other way. While he was going inthe opposite direction of her, Canis summoned a clone and hurled him back at Sophia, blade first.

 

[Wheepop]

If I couldn't get rid of him with this field, at least it will work on his clone. The clone dashed towards her, and just as its feet hit the lower part of the field, she flung the higher part down. This had a catapult effect, throwing the clone far off into the distance. Then, she created a long force field shaped like a blade, and swung it at Canis.

Canis quickly formed a clone before the force sword cut him to pieces. He jumped over the clone and threw a bunch of needles at Sophia and slid under her. When he was behind her, he went in to strike with his knife.

 

[Wheepop]

Sophia immediately saw the needles coming and formed a small ball to block their path. She saw Canis slide under her and go in for a slash with his knife. She turned around and shoved the needle ball into his face to stop his attack.

 

[qster]

Canis saw the ball coming toward him, so he quickly summoned a clone and threw the clone at the ball. The clone caught the ball and disintigrated while Canis appeared behind it and kicked the needle ball downward toward Sophia. "Eat this!" Canis said as he went in for a roundhouse kick.

 

[Wheepop]

Since she was still in control of the ball, Sophia simply threw it to the ground as it flew towards her. She saw Canis move in for a roundhouse kick, and captured his foot in a force field. She used this grasp to throw him to the side towards a tree.

 

[qster]

Canis flew through the air as Sophia threw him. He tried to grab her as she threw him, but he missed and hit a nearby tree. He yelped as he hit the tree, damaging his spine. His eyes shut as he was slightly paralyzed from the impact. "Crap, that freakin' hurt!" Canis said to Sophia. "Might as well finish me off, I can't move at all. Stupid tree."

 

[Wheepop]

She dashed in to finish him as he had said, but then decided that wasn't quite the honorable thing do do. "...Just get up,"she said. "We're only sparring anyway."

 

[qster]

He got up off the ground. "How did you know I was faking?" Canis asked Sophia.

 

[Wheepop]

...I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to tell him I thought he really was hurt. "I guess I just knew." she said with a shrug. "Now then, let's get on with this battle!" She swung her swords in an X pattern, sending a wave of energy towards Canis.
