When you beat the game as Roxas, you could start a new game as Riku. Nomura said in interview that he wanna put Riku as maincharacter.

So, let’s talk about this new story, which doesn’t have Sora as the main character. What sort of story will it be?

Tetsuya Nomura: “Well, I need to start with the story depicted in a Birth by Sleep. Aside from that, there’s the story of how the King found his keyblade in the world of darkness and other things like that. Myself, one of the things I most want to do is to give Roxas more of a role to play. I think it would be interesting to flesh out more of the year he spent between his birth and disappearance. Or making Riku the main character, and writing about his desperate fight while Sora was asleep, and things like that. You get the impression that Riku summoned Roxas to a place of shadows, and that Riku is a master of shadows, so I would like to give him more exploration in the game.”

Yannis, I don't intend to contradict you, but I feel the interveiw gives a greater impression that they are going to make another game where you play as riku. I know that the games would then fall into the same time period, but I happen to think it would be like that more. Also, when you play the game in 'riku mode' don't you follow the exact same storyline, just playing as riku? if that is the case then I don't see how you can play the O13 storyline as riku. Im not sure if they ended up to have Riku playable, but if they did then I think it´s in 358/2. Therefore Roxas would be the final boss. Also Riku fought Xemnas during that year, so Xemnas would be a boss too.

I dont know about other members.

Maybe we'll find a mode like Reverse Rebirth at the end, after you beat the final boss (as Roxas, and maybe you fight Riku), and then you play as Riku, and instead of having Roxas and the Org. accomplishing tasks, you, as Riku, have to stop their plans.

As in, you play one scenario as one side, and then in a second scenario, you play as a second side trying to stop the first side from doing what you did as the first side.

Yh, that's always a possibility. I admit I hadn't considered that. I was thinking more along the lines of that you play the same storyline but as a different character, which I beleive was the case in com, though now I am not so sure.

Well, instead of playing with Riku I would prefer to play with Axel, after Roxas dissapears, would really like to know exactly what was on his mind until he died in Betwixt and Between

I read some parts of the novels from Axel´s POV after Roxas is gone, it was really sad, but he got together with Namine and fought against Saïx, so playing Axel´s Story would be really great! :thumbup:

Oh right, once again I had no idea as my knowledge is limited to what KH1, KH2 and CoM have as content. Yh, from the sounds of it then it would be good to play.

Well, technology is amazing these days. And incredibly tiny. Maybe we'll get to play as Axel in his story, as well as Riku in his...Maybe we could dwell on Naminé a bit too! I mean, what DID she do after telling Roxas about Sora up to when she helped/fused(or whatever) with Kairi?

It would be good, but I think that the title itself basically means that the game only concentrates on the period between the end of com and the point where sora wakes up (the time gap mitself is supposedly 358 days). Therefore, unfortunately, the bit after that isnt mentioned at all.

Ok, so scratch Naminé...but we could have Axel and Riku, because we basically know what happened to them during Kingdom Hearts II.

It's already been explained earlier, but basically you play the game again but as riku instead.
