Has anyone every noticed how in almost every anime there is about 26 episodes in every one does anyone know why or the reason for it post your thought.

That's just the way they run shows over in the Land of the Rising Sun. They don't have seasons. They just run it for half a year and they're generally done. Sometimes they continue to make another 26 episodes and so on.

Not all anime shows have just 26 episodes. Sailor Moon has 300 episodes, Inuyasha has 167 total episodes. Most of the newer anime's do have shorter life span and shorter episodes. Fushigi Yugi for example, has only 52 episodes that aired (not including tne 3 OVA'S) It just depends on circumstances. As stated by Square Ninja, "they do not have seasons."

The standard length for a... segment (dunno the proper english word to describe it) of televised animé is 13 episodes. 2x13 (26) is usually considered one "season". Longer-running shows have multiple seasons.
