I think we'll have to wait longer for Xion to returnn, too. Her current situation is a little complicated, what with being inside Sora and no one remembering her...

May I join? I'm new here and I've just recently discovered that there's actually a Xion fanclub! Yay~ It makes me feel sad when I see people bashing Xion for being a Mary Sue despite the fact that she's a deconstruction of a Mary Sue. We should all love her until there's a legitimate reason to hate her.

IMO Xion's probably the bravest character in the entire series. She knows that her continued existence will ruin her friends' lives and she knows that if she dies nobody will remember her, but she comes to accept that fate and sacrifices herself anyways because that was the best for everybody. It must take a lot of courage to make that right choice. Here's hoping that she'll appear in some way in DDD, maybe as a behind-the-scenes ally to Sora in the RoS.

I need to play the game again, I am missing out on all the love for Xion. Xion is a deconstrcution of the Mary Sue (or sympathy sue) , usually in some fanfics the Sue turns out to be a friend or relative of the characters, gets game breakingly powerful keyblade, gets paired up with the girl/guy in the end. Xion does play this straight but the game itself then goes on to why that may not good idea epseically if said sue turns out to be only a memory of the original character. Xion unfortunately does not get the guy in the end and disappears into nothingness afterwards.

Precisely. Xion is a Sue that goes on to explain why Sues won't work. I think her character's pretty unique that way.

I agree, it was kind if interesting how they did that. I think Namine was the same, except for Replacement Sue instead of Sympathy Sue. :3

Sup Xi-Xi lovers. Ya know one way to have Xion in DDD is a boss fight inside Sora's Heart, with Van as the boss who is trying to take over Sora's body.(Like Master like Student.) Roxas and Xion could be party members and help save their big brother from Van. Sora could get to know Xion and help Roxas and Xion get out his body without hurting himself. Well that's what I'm hoping for anyway....
