A cool breeze drifted in the air, picking up the scent of the ocean below as it flowed towards a lone island. A lone seagull flying above let loose a molting feather, which was picked up by the wind and carried as if it were apart of the stream of air. It passed over the coast, bending thin blades of emerald green grass and rattling the many ropes and nets along a wooden dock. A tanned hand reached out and grabbed the white gull feather as it past, then bringing it closer to examine it.

"They should be arriving pretty soon, I have to admit my heart is racing!" The owner of said tanned hand said, expressing his excitement in a strong British accent. He tucked the feather in a slit in a rather large top hat that rested atop his head. He had bought it just for this day, simply because he had the notion in his mind that any island owner worth his salt should posses at least some sort of extravagant head gear. One could say he just watches too many movies, however that's as good as fact to him. His youthful face suddenly grinned, a large boat was showing up far in the distance. Inside of said boat were the students that would be living here on this island, future entertainers, future leaders of the world! Looking up from his place on the grass he spoke to a young woman standing by him. "Akira, can you feel it? this is the start of something big!"

Victoire sat near an open window and watched the lone island drawn nearer. It was an image of perfection: the brilliant green grass, the mysterious blue of the surrounding sea, the crisp white of the broken waves. A faint smell of salt wafted in through the window; a soft breeze coaxed a shock of dark red hair away from her dark eyes. Everything combined in a perfect vision of Paradise.

Paradise was something Victoire never particularly cared for.

Victoire folded her invitation letter into a small square and put it back into her jeans. Looking out at the waves, she ran her thumb over the glass face of an old watch. A nervous habit that was all hers. A watch that had been her brother's.

Her thoughts moved to the note she had left for him in their apartment.

"Xander-
I'll be back soon. Wait for me.
-Victoire

The subconscious thought that he would never be coming back was becoming less and less subconscious as the weeks of his absence turned into months. She left the note anyway.

She looked around at her fellow travelers. There was the girl with blue hair. Victoire had expected her to be obnoxious but she was surprisingly quiet during the trip. She thought she saw a teenager with white hair at the beginning of the trip. but hadn't seen him since. The boy with the green eyes and pierced nose sat closest to her, but they hadn't spoken. A boy farther away had wide eyes as dark as her own, and Victoire felt somewhat intimidated, a rare feeling. However, was her fellow New Yorker that had intrigued her the most. She thought of asking his name, but she had been startled by the foghorn and hadn't thought more of it.

Before long she was walking on the wooden dock onto the island. The first thing that caught her eye was a ridiculous feather, attached to a ridiculous hat, attached to someone who was probably ridiculous enough to match. Victoire resisted asking if this was a joke, and listened intently.

Within the cabin of the ferry sat a large group of people. Nearly all were shuffling nervously, glancing through the windows, or glancing at the other passengers. Sven, a tall and slender young man with varied hair color and a studded nose, sat bench in the middle of the room with black buds blasting music into his ears. His arms were crossed over his chest, and he had one leg folded on the other, foot tapping on the ground softly with the beat. Through the dark circles under his lime-colored eyes, it was apparent that he hadn't had a very fulfilling sleep in quite awhile. In reality, he just hadn't gotten any sleep at all since receiving his letter. His mind was buzzing too much with too many things. He was barely paying attention to the music anymore but let his racing mind become in sync with the beat. Possibilities, theories, threats, benefits, formulas, morals, ideas. All pumping to the pace of a Korean dance song.

The only one thing that outweighed the rest of Sven's busy thoughts was the fact that he could not see his friends for an unmeasured amount of time. Pretty much for as long as he could remember, he would just follow them along. Listened to what they told him to do, and was happy with it. Now he would have to sort his mess of a mind and pull himself together into a human, as opposed to the humanoid computer he always was used to being.

Soon enough the time came and the boat arrived wherever it needed to be. He watched as everyone exited the boat, hesitant to follow. If he wanted, he could just stay here. Stay seated in the ferry, and sit contentedly safe as it carried him back home. He didn't have to go if he didn't want to. But, alas, the green-eyed teenager's curiosity and thirsty mind outweighed every fear and anxiety his heart could feel, so he slowly picked himself up off of the bench and strolled out onto the wooden dock.

The sun hit the back of his head like a hot sledgehammer, so he quickly flipped the black hood of his sweater up over his tousled brown hair, then folded his arms back over his chest again.

"No,no,no,no. That simply won't do for a title. It has to have that special something, not just a quick fix em up title like THAT!"

A man with two different eye colors stared at what would be his next novel, well at least the title of it anyway. Crossing off the recent name he had just recently made up on the spot, Micheal sighed and crumpled up the paper and threw it away into a small trash bin that was near by, the breeze from the ocean causing his aim to go straight into the can. Luck was with him.

Michael leaned his head on his right hand, which he had put up so as to prop up his head. His eyes looked from each passenger of the boat wondering what each person would bring to this strange island that they would be living at. Smiling a bit, Michael also thought about the fact that because he didn't know any of these people personally that he could mess around with them for a bit. At least til they weren't entertaining to him anymore.

Hearing the ferry-horn announce their arrival on the island, Michael got up and began to grab his suitcase which he kept nearby. Soon he was following the rest of the crowd, wondering who the figure with the hat was. Noting a strange feature of the figure was his unusual choice in hat garments, a feather being the focus of his interest. It was similar to a seagull. Shrugging a bit at how fast he could notice such things, Michael made his way to a girl with dark red hair. He had noticed earlier that she was looking at him, giving off a feeling that she wanted to talk to him, but when she heard the fog-horn she became startled and paid him no more mind.

"Wonder if he bought that hat just so he can show it off this once," Michael muttered so the red haired girl could also hear him. He smiled slightly as the thought that this man had bought a hat just so he could "impress" these people. Truly, a strange fellow indeed even if he hadn't spoken any words yet.

Against the bright orange, and red, hues produced by the impressively hanging sun Akira stood statuesque with an appropriately elegant frame that anyone man worth their hormonal endogenous glands would call sexy and beautiful. Her dark black hair had neatly parted slightly to frame her pale and definitive face. Her pale skin was a useless guard for the sun's harmful rays and she seemed to have the build of a librarian rather than the athlete that she is. Her cold calculating eyes scrutinized what could be the loosest definition of a friend cruelly.

"Stop talking to me, stop looking at me and stop breathing please." She indifferently requested of her friend. This witty banter is what the most bitterly sarcastic observer may call as affection or small talk between friends. Akira hadn't meant any harm in her words or rather felt how unnecessary her response had been because it was a weak attempt to drain her friend's morale. She knew what was coming with inviting these people here, and she also knew how ironic this friendship really was considering how starkly different the two really are, in more ways than one.

She hadn't bothered to wait for his comic inducing response and instead decided to work things out in her head as where it should be done. Personally, she didn't find any joy in overseeing a bunch of over-privileged kids, hopefully there will be some to surprise her.

The ocean was nice and all but Toru had definitely preferred every other form of transportation minus boats or any other buoyant craft by the end of the little cruise. It was odd because he wasn't the type to get seasick so easily, but then again this was the first time he's ridden such an immense boat. He steadied the churning waters of his stomach with one hand and with a queasy second he steadied his entire body against the railing. he felt this was the best time to provide some interesting social commentary about how boating can be compared to the decaying democracy of the United State-

"Oh god, okay.. I'm fine now.." Reassuring himself, if anything, he wiped his forehead and to his chagrin was sweating because of how ill he felt. Great, he was making such a good first impression. Wait, who was he trying to impress? Toru recalled how he ended up here but it mostly boiled down to his parents coaxing him with naive little dreams of becoming some great person. Toru wanted to meet this "great person" and learn how to become him. He didn't see himself going into the field of literary analysis or composition, so why was he here again?

He calmed his inner cynic and instead traversed off the boat. With his messy black hair, bloodshot eyes (from unable to calm down during the entire ride here), and disheveled clothes he looked out of place in this sea of inexplicably handsome people. As bitter as it sounds he felt a little annoyed, as if whoever called them out here specifically looked for heart-swooning people who impeccable grace and eloquence. No need for any scholastic value, no sir, just hand me the next George Clooney .. Wait, why did he know that name?

"Wonder if he bought that hat just so he can show it off this once."

"Hm," she laughed. She couldn't say that she was caught off guard, but this might turn into the first friendly conversation she's had in months. The absence of her brother had created a painful silence at "home," and her "co-workers" aren't (weren't?) exactly darling.
Victoire took a quick sideways glance at the boy next to her as he looked at their odd host and recognized him.. the other "guest" from New York. For a split second she thought his eye was red, but.. no. Probably dark brown that reflected the sunlight in an odd way. Victoire looked back at their host, interested in the new surroundings and the new company.

"I'll bet he's trying to impress himself... and he's probably thoroughly succeeded."

Then her eyes wandered to the woman standing next to him and was almost startled by the cold in her eyes. She was just the right distance away so that Victoire couldn't quite tell if she was looking directly at her or not. So elegant and slight but still so... what word to use ... powerful? The air she produced wasn't intoxicating, so to speak, but Victoire couldn't look away.

"Now who's that?" she asked him.

"Mooooou~ This is my seventeenth time checking!" Mimiru Hiyori had combed the entire ship for the secret secret stash of chocolates and sweets her mom and dad, even her sister, assured her they placed on board for her. Her nose was never wrong and she could smell sweets like no other, yet even spending two hours on this boat on constant alert for it, but she couldn't pick up a single trace of sweetness. The air was salty and the sky was clear, so there was no serious element preventing her from locating it. But after the seventeenth time checking, Mimiru began to suspect that maybe, just maybe ..her parents hid the chocolate on the wrong boat! That had to be the only reasonable way they'd lose it. There was no way they'd lie to her, they were her parents! Crossing her arms, Mimiru pouted as her eyes scanned the surface of the ship. There was no place her faded-pink eyes didn't check.

"I'm running out of chocolate ..what am I gonna do when I run out? I knew I should've brought more!~"
Mimiru pouted cutely and reached under her left arm, retrieving from it a half eaten bar of milk chocolate. Peeling the wrapper, she took a good few bites from it, effectively finishing it off before crumpling the wrapper up and looking for one of the many trashbins she had located. Jumping off the top of the deck and landing on the deck one was actually meant to stand on, she threw it away and looked behind her for the first time in fifteen minutes. The island. They were here? Since when? "....Mooou~" Mimiru moaned, her eyes growing teary as she wobbled off towards the exit to the ship where other people older than her seemed to be getting off. "I'm running out of chocolate...I'm gonna starve ..die on this island without adequate sugar to eat. Mommy and Daddy should have put a lock on that staaaaash, mooooouuu~" stepping off the boat and moaning under her breath as she imagined she'd need to eat dinner here without a dessert. No meal was complete without a treat afterwards, that was the Hiyori families golden rule!

Hobbling off the boat and looking at her feet, she balled her fists together and placed the front of her knuckles against her mouth. Her pink ponytail bounced slightly with each step she took, needing to remind herself to keep on her feet, so she hopped slightly with each step so she didn't fall. Mimiru felt famished already, on a foreign island with possibly no way to sate her sweet tooth. The fear was beginning to overwhelm her, and her body began to shake. Tears began to pour from her eyes and without warning Mimiru had bolted from the boardwalk and past those that arrived before her, making a beeline so quick that even Burter would be amazed at ..but..you know, not as fast as the fastest in the universe, right?

"Oba-samaaaaaa~"
A blur of pink would crash into Akira so hard she would fall on her back and slide all the way to the very end of the dock, where a distressed and sobbing Mimiru would be hugging her tightly, needing comfort in a time of panic and fear. "I'm missing a huge stash of chocolate, an-and I looked over the ship seventeen times and couldn't fiiiiiiind iiiiiiiit!" Mimiru moved her head from Akira's chest and sat up, grabbing her shoulders and shaking her frantically.

"I'm going to run out of sweets here and certainly die from withdrawal! Mommy and Daddy said there'd be chocolates and sweets and sugary delights on that boat but there wasn't and someone might've stolen it or eaten it for themselves so spent the whole trip looking and couldn't find anything!Moooooouuuu~" Mimiru buried her face in Akira's neck, whimpering sadly.

Boats suck.

They turn, they churn, the smell of the salty air was alright, but the taste of the water was terrible. It rocked, it rolled, and she felt like she would fall off any second. For a few moments, Rachel seriously considered jumping off the boat and swimming to the island--but nope, she didn't even want to move. No, instead she'd stay put and feel each and every wave push against the boat and move them up and about and around and--

Ohh... A hiccup escaped her mouth, and she immediately clutched her stomach. Why am I feeling so sick? Rachel took in a deep breath and looked up at the sky. This was her first time on a boat, so she assumed that she just wasn't used to it. Everyone else seemed fine, but she wouldn't even have known--she didn't want to converse in case she decided to hurl in the middle of the conversation.

Her stomach gave a dark growl, and Rachel could feel it coming. Oh-no-oh-no-oh-no-oh-no-- She braced herself, but it left as soon as it came; with a huge sigh of relief, she realized the boat had stopped.

"Phew..." The color came back to her skin, and she almost jumped off the boat in relief. NEVER again. Never!

The Headmaster chuckled at Akira's remark to him. It sounded just plain cold, but he'd known her long enough to tell what she was really trying to say... Or at least he thinks so anyway. At any rate he liked having her around, she was a good offset for his rather chaotic personality, always there to keep him straight. The boat pulled into the dock, a few crewmen secured it and stood on stand by as his new students came out one after the other.

Sitting inside this boat, Asahina could be found in the corner of the seating area. She didn't do this on purpose, at least she hoped not. When she first got on the boat she instantly picked out this seat by a port hole. Other 'students' came on board, and she was interested in getting to know them. However every time she tried to muster up the courage to speak to someone she kept convincing herself that she'd just mess up and make a fool out of herself in some way. So she spent the two hour ride to the island alone, listening to the waves of the ocean and picking up on the faint rhythm as she combed out her azure hair with a plastic comb. She was already humming a tune she had thought up from listening to the waves, and couldn't wait to play it on the piano.

Before she knew it they had arrived. It had startled her a bit as she was busy constructing music notes in her head and wasn't paying attention. She quickly got up from her seat and rushed out of the boat, noticing to her dismay that she was the last one there. She wondered if anyone would even notice her, even for someone with BLUE hair her presence was pretty pathetic. Looking past some of the students she noticed the pink haired girl on top of an older looking young woman. She wasn't on the boat, so she must be staff here. Though Asahina was wondering more about why this scene was playing out, and why the girl was crying about sweets.

She didn't judge the girl however, she was sure there was a good reason as to why junk food was so important to her.... Right?... Right! There was a good reason, no need to doubt anyone. Putting on a meek smile she waited for the young man in the ridiculous top hat to say something to them... Though he was kind of busy laughing at the woman who got tackled by the pink haired girl.

"Oh WOW Akira, I wish I had my camera!.. Oh wait!" Reaching into his right pocket the Headmaster pulled out a small digital camera, not wasting any time in taking a photo of Akira in this position. He giggled manically. "One more for the scrap book..." He whispered, then putting the blackmail device back in it's place in his pocket. "OH RIGHT!!" He said nearly startled, turning to the pink haired girl first. "You must be Mimiru correct? I'll have you know this island has the finest sweets in the country... Well this place isn't really IN a country but you get the idea, there's a place to eat to your hearts content here." Reaching into his large top hat he pulled out multiple envelops, then turning to the others students with a wide grin.

"Greetings to you all, I know the trip here may have been tiring so I'll make this quick. My name is Gabriel and I'm the Headmaster of this island, This lovely woman beside me is Akira, and she will be your Dorm-master." He cleared his throat. "Inside these are two things." he said, raising his right hand in a fist. "One." He said raising a finger. "A name tag, you don't HAVE to wear it but it should help you become better acquainted with your fellow classmates, in case you lose it another has been placed in your rooms. Speaking of which..." He raised a second finger. "There is also a map of this island inside, it details everything you need to know about this place. Your rooms, the cafeteria, the library, the gym, the music room, yatta yatta I think you all get my drift." After handing them all the envelops he turned his back to the students. "Now then, I won't waste your time any further! I hope you all will discover new and wonderful things about yourselves, just as you'll discover the wonders of this island!"

Ugh, did I just get hit by a ponytail? Akira opened her eyes to see a rather cute girl hugging her while crying and spouting out some incoherent babble. Akira cursed herself for not being more aware, although it is difficult being aware of a speeding bullet heading towards her. Akira certainly was the type not to do anything herself but rather sit back and observe, that's why things like social interaction and holding up conversations are such a bore to her. She didn't know why she volunteered to be a dorm-master, well actually, she did know why.

Akira glanced over warily at Gabriel. But just as fast turned her attention to the crying girl. She did hear about her through her parents and while maintaining the image of a stoic woman - which she was - she learned that Mimiru was different. Mimiru certainly reminded Akira of a certain somebody when it came to those tears and the need for attention and help. How old was she by now, Akira wondered, she probably changed after all these year-

"One more for the scrape book." Gabriel said idiotically as he made his camera scarce. Oh great, more blackmail material. Doesn't really matter though, even though Gabriel has this one Akira has been accumulating a lot of sensitive material that can be used against the man. You know, for someone with the composure of an archangel he certainly did enjoy his share of neko-maids.

Akira struggled slightly against this girl's death hold and managed to stand up. Gabriel went on to explain all these things to her, and the other students, Akira rolled her eyes. Gabriel had been practicing that little speech well over five hours last night, it was particularly annoying considering he wanted her to be the audience, she was like, "Dude, let me enjoy Hell's Kitchen in peace, go have one of your other mindless servants do it." He knew that Akira would just boo at him and possibly throw knives, she had no clue why he still pestered her. Honestly it felt like she was the only mature one here. Akira had to write all of his papers, she had to remind him to keep up with his daily updates on his websites, she had to continually remind him to write, ugh, why does Akira associate herself with him. Well, the only good thing about Gabriel is that he is willing to do whatever Akira requests, even if that included kicking his ass on Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

Oh right, Mimiru.

"Uh, listen um.. girl-" Akira is dreadfully horrible at conversation, "- As your annoying headmaster said, I'm Akira, so none of this obasan okay? And your mom has war- er, informed me about you but don't worry, there's plenty of food.. Um, there, there?" Akira awkwardly began patting Mimiru's head.

"Oh, and none of this glomping business, just come up to me calmly and speak." Was that the right way to say it? Probably.

~---~

Huh, it was like something out of a fiction story. That girl was pretty impressive on tackling that older woman, she could probably be a linebacker some day.. or an assassin. Or an assassin linebacker, ah! Great idea for a story.

Toru uncapped a pen and scribbled some words on his arm. Whenever he was randomly struck with inspiration he would always keep a note on it. But Toru never really did keep up with his little ideas. Sometimes he would write down a hundred notes on a hundred stories but only manage to write two out of those hundred stories. More often than not he would grow bored of an idea of a story and quickly move on to the next, which is why he isn't stingy when it comes to inspiration. You never know what will stick.

"Glad I'm not her, that tackle looked like it could obliterate all of my bones." He mumbled as he chuckled awkwardly, the reality is, he didn't doubt that his prediction could have been true if it were him being tackled.

Behind the deafening volume of Sven's headphones, several people's voices could barely be heard. The voice of an apparently distressed young girl with pastel pink hair, of a stoic, stern woman, of a man with an unusual hat. He watched their lips move absent-mindedly as his head spun in a relentless whirlpool of data. Finally, the man with the hundred-story-high hat turned to the rest of the crowd from the woman at his side and began to enthusiastically jabber to them, hand motions and all.

Slowly, Sven raised a hand to his left ear, plucked out the ear bud, then moved to his right to do the same. They buzzed rhythmically in his hand as he held them.

"--is also a map of this island inside, it details everything you need to know about this place. Your rooms, the cafeteria, the library, the gym, the music room, yatta yatta I think you all get my drift."

Guess he took them out too late. Oh well. The brown-haired young man slipped the buzzing music players back into his ears and hid both of his hands in his pockets. After doing so, he began to slowly scan his immediate field of vision. The island was very scenic. Bright blue sky, fresh vegetation, impressive architecture of the buildings. After taking it all in and storing it in his already terribly full mind, he turned his vision back at the large group ahead of him. He waited for them all to begin snatching up the envelopes. He never wanted to be the first at anything, for sure.

After a few people had, he silently trekked toward the man and took one of the folded paper packages. After returning down the path, he found a less populated spot and stopped there. With one sweep of his thin, white finger he found that there was, indeed, a map inside, as well as a piece of paper that looked to be a blank sticker, presumably a name tag. Sven sighed. It felt somewhat silly to strut around with your name published on your chest. If he could avoid it, he would, so he slipped it back into the envelope, folded it and slipped it into the back pocket of his jeans. If it was necessary to wear, he could just pull it out whenever needed.

The girl had responded with the same idea he had. Good, it seemed this person would lead to some very interesting da--

Did that woman just get tackled by a Pink haired girl? Michael stared at wonder as the girl blubbered, or was it wept openly about her missing sweets. The fact that she took the amount of time to actually commit a full blown tackle hug was commendable, and caused Michael to look on curious as the woman tried to tend to the situation. Observing how she tried to treat the girl, she was one of the types of people that didn't do well in social gatherings or social events in general. Taking out his notebook from earlier, Michael wrote down a few notes in it, to remind him of a character similar to the two women.

After doing so, Michael paid attention to the Headmaster and what he had to say. Gabriel. The name of the Archangel of Heaven. An interesting name, as well as amusing. Michael looked to his left seeing that the girl was still paying attention from earlier. Thinking of what to say next Michael chuckled a bit to himself as he thought about the fact that each one of these people would be wearing a name tag. Shaking the thought away, Michael went up to Gabriel and took one of the Envelopes that had his name on it and walked back down and opened it.

As promised, there was indeed a name tag with his name on it, as well as a map. Taking both out and crumpling the envelope, Michael wrote his name and put it on his chest. Now done with that, he then took out his map and began to memorize certain area's that he would be spending, though he kept looking up in case anyone wanted to say anything more.

This island trip would defiantly be a entertaining time.

Victoire could only stare, wide-eyed, as this seemingly immovable woman was completely leveled by a blubbering flash of bubblegum pink. Victoire couldn't help but feel embarrassed for the woman, and she felt that the startling first impression of her was losing its edge. Still, she was intrigued nonetheless.

The boy from New York walked forward to get an envelope. Victoire did the same, and walked back to her place next to him. She opened up the envelope and immediately saw the map. The other piece of paper must be her nametag. Without looking at it, she crumpled it quietly, let her arm fall to her side, and dropped it discreetly by her feet. If someone wanted to know her name, they could ask for it.

After watching the wailing pink-haired girl long enough for her nerves to twitch to life, she examined her map. Library, gym, music room... and a few places with no label. Victoire had an idea. Did they have a curfew? Not that it mattered... but if they did, it might just get broken tonight. She turned to the boy beside her.

"What do you say we find the liquor cabinets when this nonsense is over?"

After all, mischief loves company.

On the boat remained another straggler who sat below the deck, arms crossed and back against the wall with a window beside him. In the attempt to look for chairs to rest in, he had only found uncomfortable wooden ones and didn't find the leisure kind suiting him. As cliche as it might have been, he had let himself fall asleep, back against the wall and arms folded. While he expected discomfort, it actually felt comfortable, enough for him to fall asleep in no time with little to not disturbances in between. He dreamed that he was back home with his father, though they had discussed marriage for him. He was still young and had at least a few more years left in him before considering such a sudden thing. His father chose his mother himself, none of that arranged marriage business for him. The talk also made him wonder if he really cared, but if he had to choose, he'd rather choose himself. Looks were only looks, but knowing someone made the choice much better.

...Hm ...it's stopped... Slowly opening his eyes, Van would peer out the window and notice the land he looked towards, as well as the various nets and a dock. They made it here. Leaning forward, he began to leave the boat.

-

"You must be Mimiru correct? I'll have you know this island has the finest sweets in the country--"

Mimiru sat up immediately and looked towards him, having gotten her full attention with just a single word. Sweets. Finest. In the Country. She may very well enter a sugar-induced coma before this trip was over. When the envelopes were pulled out, Mimiru immediately reached up and took one, peeling it open and examining the contents. The nametag she wasn't worried about since she could always tell someone if they asked, but the map was the most important of all. The explanation of the man known as Gab something, her interest being gone moments later, she began to try and examine the little map. Gabby had finally stopped talking.

"- As your annoying headmaster said, I'm Akira, so none of this obasan okay? And your mom has war- er, informed me about you but don't worry, there's plenty of food.. Um, there, there?" Akira awkwardly began patting Mimiru's head.

Mimiru's eyes didn't leave the map, nor did she immediately respond.

"Oh, and none of this glomping business, just come up to me calmly and speak."

"..Oba-chan, will you take me to get some sugary treats? Please?"
Mimiru would lower the map and lean forward with sudden interest in Akira, her eyes moist and pleading, begging for Akira to take her. The comfort level of Akira may drop, seeing as their noses would be touching, and when Akira tried to move away, Mimiru would just make sure their noses were touching until she got an answer. "Please, Oba-chan? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

What a colorful cast of characters..

Roy would observe those that were already off the boat from afar as he slowly made his way down towards the headmaster who held envelopes and, from what he heard while coming down, contained map within them as well as nametags. It didn't suite him to wear the tag and he didn't think it was a requirement either. Out of all those he saw, the one in the school uniform intrigued him the most ..that, and maybe the girl laughing, who almost shared the same color as him and his family.

"What do you say we find the liquor cabinets when this nonsense is over?"

Brace yourself for disappointment. A demon as far as he could tell, and probably not a smart one. There was a possibility he had a stash of liquor here yet, with minors just walking about, say for instance the pink one who was so close to that woman that it was making him feel awkward just watching, the odds of booze being anywhere was ..a little unlikely. Gabriel, who he could guess was the headmaster just ahead of him, would probably try to keep this environment as clean as possible. Brushing past Asahina but being certain to mutter a polite 'excuse me' as he did so, he would take one of the envelopes and nod to the headmaster before he moved past. Van would catch eye of an interesting girl who seemed to be very ..pink, and would be a little amused with the look on the faces of both women.

Now, where was a secluded location to make sure he wasn't going soft?

She hadn't completely adjusted to this sudden change in the weather. It was a huge difference from Russia where she was last stationed at. To be honest, she preferred the cold over the heat. Azusa shouldered her guitar and made her way off the ship. Despite the growing problems in Hell Azusa couldn't help but be a little impressed with this place. It was nice and comfortable and, in spite of the heat, it looked like the perfect place to vacation at. Azusa didn't know what kind of weirdo would buy off this island for the sole purpose of putting a bunch of kids on here to train their talents and she wouldn't care had it not been the rumors she heard through the grapevine about this place.

Azusa casually fixed her hair and stared ahead to see Gabriel introduce himself and hand out a bunch of envelopes. "Huh, Gabriel.. Haven't heard that name in a bit," Azusa mused to herself, "He doesn't really look like the same Gabriel, and that stupid accent isn't fooling anyone." Azusa chuckled lightly but mostly spoke to herself. It was strange for someone to engage in an inner monologue, especially when it isn't an inner monologue and she's talking aloud. She should stop doing that, she was like a bad 80's villain. Azusa took an envelope and as she neared Gabriel she noticed that he was kind of familiar but before she could try to recall where he is from she saw a pink-haired girl with a diabetes inducing personality harassing an older woman.

Wait. Was that...

Akira gritted her teeth and attempted to calm herself down. She hated repeating herself but what's worse is an overbearing child.

"I told you.. My name is Akira, do not call me Oba-chan" She spoke in a very controlled manner, to be honest she didn't even mind the close proximity - she's dealt with worse, namely a pet dog that has a tendency to lick her as a greeting.

But for the sake of her sanity, and the well-being of everyone here, Akira put her hands on Mimiru's shoulders and pushed her back slightly. "And I can't go catering to your needs, I've got my hands full already with a boat full of you guys." She saw the look on Mimiru's face and noticed she wasn't about to win this argument with logic and reason.

"Besides I've.. uh," Akira looked to the crowd and noticed a familiar black-haired girl, "This girl asked for help long before you!" Akira stood up and grabbed the girl's hand and pulled her close to her chest to prevent Mimiru from hugging her again.

"E-Empusa-cha-" Azusa's voice was immediately stifled by Akira's hand.

Akira looked at Azusa with a stern look and pointed to her name-tag across her chest that said, "Akira" in neat print.

"Empusa? You must have me confused with someone else, I'm Akira honey." She explained with impossible patience. Azusa didn't understand but she went along with it for the sake of her senpai.

Akira then turned her attention to Mimiru and raised her arm in a nice flourish, "See! I am far too busy to be escorting you since I have to escort her and.." She looked at Mimiru's face and sighed dejectedly, "Fine, come along but you're going to stop calling me Oba-chan.."

It was pretty easy finding the bookstore, heck it was even easier finding the candy shop. It is literally only twenty feet from the bookstore. Toru smiled to himself as he looked upon the amazing collection this place has. Gabriel may be a looney but he certainly has good taste. Toru had already found seven books that he found interesting, most of which were Greek mythological references. He enjoyed reading up on the ancient lore but mostly about the gods and goddesses. He wasn't really interested in the Olympians, they got pretty stale fast, but instead the minor gods and goddesses. Like Nemesis, Britomartis and Hecate.

Although the extensive history is worth about a lifetime of knowledge Toru tried to learn everything he could about the history of the Greek gods. Like the children of gods and goddesses, notable people and heroes, stuff like that. To be honest, there isn't a lot of notable woman. All of the greats are male and the females pretty much don't do much. He wondered why that was.

Toru opened up a book and started searching for notable Greek heroines. Atlanta, Artemis, Athena, Andromeda. A lot of A's. Toru skipped a few pages until he came across the daughter of the goddess Hecate: Empusa. A woman with flaming hair and nice shoes that seduced young men and drank their blood after eating their flesh.

"Nice.." Toru muttered sarcastically.

Taking the envelop from the eccentric headmaster Asahina opened it carefully. Inside was a blank name tag, and a colorful map as promised. Taking the name tag and map out she stuck the envelop in a pocket, she would toss it out when she found a waste basket. Putting the map lightly between her lips she used both hands to write down her name on the name tag, then sticking it in the middle of her chest. She went to take the map from her lips, however a young man with blue hair lightly brushed past her, causing her to shudder slightly and open her mouth. A strong breeze blew in her face and took the map with it, making it spiral into the sky and over towards the ocean. Asahina panicked. "NO! C-Come back!" She ran towards it with her arms out stretched, without that map she would be completely lost! She ran after it, but was forced to stop as she reached the end of the wooden docks. Watching it slowly fall into the water her mood went from slightly nervous to devastated. Not even an hour on the island and she had already messed up.

"I told you.. My name is Akira, do not call me Oba-chan"

I'm beginning to think she doesn't like to be called Oba-chan! Mou~ Mimiru would frown childishly as Akira resisted her charm and instead tried to claim that she would be taking care of someone else. But how could that be if none of them had been here before!?

...Wait a moment, could some of these people have been here before now? And why was Oba-chan acting so mean about it! Empusa-chan? What's a Pussa? That name was so delightfully unintimidting and was so cuddly and warm, just like Oba-chan! Mimiru hopped to her feet and grinned, somehow off screen hiding the map away, god knows where she put that map. Mimiru still held that adorable begging look on her face with those sad puppy eyes. Eventually, Akira had given in.

"Fine, come along but you're going to stop calling me-"

"Oba-nee-sama-senpai-san-sama...kun~" Mimiru had darted forward yet again, only to wrap her arms around Akira and somehow lift her up, spinning her around and around fairly quickly to the point where anyone who wasn't an acrobatic genius would have gotten sick. By the time Mimiru set her down, it looked as if she had noticed Azusa for the first time. Man was she adorable looking! "Hey, do you wanna be my friend? I'm Mimiru Hiyori!" without an answer, Mimiru would take Azusa by her hand and turn around, ready to drag her into town and bond. "Come on, let's go get some sweets!" Mimiru's lunging speed was powerful, so it would feel like the jerk of a downhill roller coaster to Azusa as she was pulled along. She had moved so quickly that she happened to hit Azusa and, boy wouldn't you know it, send her already likely dizzy self backing up in order to regain balance ..oooooonly to hit the water below without Mimiru even noticing.

As his blue eyes examined the outline of the entire island, he couldn't believe the amount of money Gabriel had invested into this place. The only bad idea he might've had was the nametag thing, and Van felt he was better off having everyone introduce themselves one by one. He kept his opinions to himself and was about to head to the 'dojo' location to be alone for a little while until the distress of a young woman made his head turn. It was the one he had bumped into on accident as he made his way towards Gabriel, and it seemed partly his fault she had lost her map, the only tool she might've had for navigating the island. Though deep down he wanted to let her know that it was entirely possible Gabriel had extra copies on him and that it was likely not going to be an issue to get her another one, Van wanted to take the gentleman's route, at least this once.

Turning around, he would begin his approach towards her and fold his map up before taking her hand and setting it into hers. He knew where he wanted to go and had no real need for it any further, and he could always locate whatever he needed later on. "You shouldn't worry so much ..as much as it must have cost him to create this place, replacing a map is easy. Don't get so down over the little things." nodding and closing her hand so she didn't let this one fly out, he turned back around in time to see Akira flying into the water and the excitable pink-haired girl and an innocent dark-haired girl take off towards the islands shops.

"..Hm...hmhmhmhm."
Van shut his eyes and lowered his head, trying to stifle his laughter. Just what she deserved, and that name didn't exactly help the fact she was a demon already. Well, as much of a nice person he could be, he'd let Gabriel help her out if he chose. Taking smooth careful steps from the docks and after the two girls that sped off, he'd let his eyes watch the surface where Akira fell in to see her reaction. As much as he wanted to hide it, Van looked down at her with a grin.

Well played Mimiru Hiyori ..well played.

"Whatta group!"

An adventurous start, what with some standing out more than others, but it must've been nice to be with someone you know (well...sort of?). With a small breath, Rachel took what she needed and sat a little on the way over, scribbling her name on the tag. After she finished, she wondered where she should stick it. Chest? Abdomen? Arm? Forehead? After a few seconds of thinking, she stuck it on her chest, deciding that at the very least it should be shown.

Letting out a low whistle, she opened up the map and peered at it. Where was she supposed to go again? No wait, it was free time--there wasn't anywhere they were supposed to go, they were just supposed to just go. ...I need to pay better attention to things. She decided with a small shrug, though she started walking towards wherever her legs decided it was best. After some time, she found her stomach growling, and decided to take its lead--to the cafeteria, of course.

"Food, food, food~" She sang to herself as she was on her merry way.

Akira surfaced in a rather delayed manner. Despite her calm stature she always became panicked whenever she was submerged in water. It brought up bad memories from her youth when she nearly drowned at the hands of her adoptive mother. She hid her terrified expression with a cleverly placed scowl as she gripped the legs of the dock. She didn't care too much that she nearly died or whatever, she was just annoyed that 1. No one decided to help her, and 2. Azusa was no longer here. She wanted to know why that young girl is here and she had a lot of questions to ask. Ugh, this is exactly what happens whenever she is kind to someone. She loses face in front of everyone when she was supposed to be a stoic watchperson for everyone and loses respect.

Whatever. She wasn't here to make a good impression, she was here to ensure her duties would be completed in a timely manner. Akira looked up to see a boy staring down at her with a blatant grin on his face. She didn't recognize him but she felt his divinely presence. Probably an angel since he didn't give off demonic energy. Just what she needed, some stuck up prince-angel who thinks better of himself. Akira shrugged off the ignorance everyone was so happily displaying and climbed out of the water. She didn't bother to say anything to anyone, or accept any towels from the workers, but instead decided to follow Mimiru and, more importantly, Azusa.

~--~

Azusa was being dragged along like some deadweight tire for quite sometime. She was sure that they had passed whatever destination this girl wanted to go to but she couldn't say anything for fear of biting her tongue off. She had given up on pulling away from Mimiru but instead decided to concentrate on keeping her guitar safe. With her free arm being flung about here and there her guitar, that was safely kept on her shoulder, was hanging precariously by her mid-arm.

"H-hey, stop it! Slow down! No, seriously s-stop!" Azusa tried to pull back but failed miserably. The resulting force had caused Azusa to stumble slightly and her guitar had flung clean off her arm and landed a few feet away. Terrified of what just happened Azusa turned her attention to the downed instrument. She quickly slipped away from Mimiru and ran towards her guitar. Inwardly she was praying to every god she could think of, "Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay." But on the outside she began to tear up as she opened up her guitar case.

Her guitar was sitting in the case peacefully without a scratch on the body or neck. Azusa fell to her knees as a sigh of relief exhaled from her. Regaining her composure she zipped up her case, stood up, and glared at Mimiru.

"What were you thinking? Honestly you could've hurt someone! You pushed Emp- er, Akira into the water without even going back to help and you could have seriously damaged my guitar! Stop being overly familiar with me, I don't know who you are!" Azusa huffed and puffed as her cheeks were slightly colored from the yelling. She looked at Mimiru and instantly felt guilty, but she shouldn't feel guilty. This girl can't go dragging around random people everywhere she wants to go, especially when Azusa was trying to talk to Akira. Geez, who does Mimiru think she is? Rainbow Head?

Having the entire island completely memorized was no great feat for Michael, as he had to memorize small details for his characters so that the continuity of the story was always constant even in a novel where the majority of the story takes place in flashbacks. Looking up as he heard the girl next to him suggest an idea. An idea dealing with a tempting breaking of a alcoholic case. Turning to her, he smiled and tilted his head slightly.

"Look for the liquor cabinets? Hm, tempting as that is, I do feel a bit parch from the trip here so why not?" Michael switched his gaze to the rest of the island that he had only memorized a moment ago. Though he soon became distracted by the pink haired girls change in energy level and the fact that she sent the strict looking woman into the water. The girl kept on walking with another person right behind her. Michael chuckled to himself as he began to develop characters for his next story, and having something similar to the characters happen.

Realizing that he had been rude, not introducing himself first before going on a drinking hunt, Michael turned to the girl and extended his hand out.
"Oh, how rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Michael. Michael Garrison. Nice to meet you."
