Nomura will likely only retire when he feels he’s told the stories he wants to tell. Or if he feels like he can’t tell these stories at SE anymore. He’d probably take a reduced role (not directing and just sticking to design and story) and work on more creative pursuits like fashion.

I’m hoping Nomura goes wild on KH4, then. Just full up all of his wish fulfillment.
