Once again, that is why this is a glitch. It is not supposed to happen!

Surges are your friends. Use thunder and fire surges constantly. I used them whenever he was chasing me and to dodge his attacks. Terra has the hardest time with this fight since he is the slowest. It takes a little practice to get good at timing the surges but you will pick it up pretty quickly.

It's in the place right before you fight the Trinity Armor.
