Can I be honest with you? Talking weapons (in this case, Necros) are not original or uncliche. There's a talking axe in David Drake's Goddess of the Ice Realm. What makes this one really fun is that the axe is very hungry for blood, and says things that shouldn't be said at the wrong moment...

Spell check is a finicky thing. On the one hand, it'll point out necessary errors. On the other hand, it'll totally ignore errors because it won't read them as errors - 'herd' and 'heard' are both words, but it won't distinguish between the two as the better choice for the sentence that needs...

yeah, thanks. can't help it when someone tries to offer some advice? are you encouraging me to flame and therefore spam the hell out of here by inciting me? lifelong doesn't quite mean i have to be 60-some years old to offer some of my own knowledge. i've been messing with stories all my life...

unless someone's already mentioned this - don't write in one tone. i've found enough stories on FFN in which characters commit suicide and there's blood and death and cutting and drugs and etc. to make one just as sick as said stories. expand the tones, throw in drama, supernatural, angst, etc...

Unfortunately, Part 4 was far too long for me to post on the forums. Whenever I copy and paste something onto here, everything becomes clumped and i spend a good half hour or more finding and separating. Also Part 5 requires special treatment so I have decided not to post on this thread anymore...
