The new book isn't actually a new series, at least from what Wikipedia says.


I really hope that it's good, and doesn't just bring the rest of the series down. (I completely agree about not being able to read something like book seven again, it was just too much death and sadness. It was appropriate, but still.)

It was an appropriate ending, which is why I hated it. It's so crushing to see all that Roland has gone through, only to do it again because of his own flaws.

I don't know what I thought about the part with the rest of them though. It's a happy ending, yes, but it's not the same Eddie and Jake and Oy that the reader came to know.

Additionally, did you know that he's writing another novel in the series?

That's not the only reason. Their past games were on consoles full of great games, so people originally bought them because of the games' good reputations, not because there was nothing else good to buy, even though that happens to be the case NOW.
