Yes, mostly. It has to deal with Ash going into a coma after the first episode when Pikachu uses his thunderbolt on that flock of attacking Spearow. You got the imagining things correct, though. The theory would explain why Ash remains ten and the real world animals and things that appear in his dream.
Sorry if I brought up the Ash Coma Theory. Have you ever heard of it? I hope you're doing okay. I edited my post in the Pokemon thread.
