CD: Hello everyone, hello, hello.
Max & KitKat: *laughs*
CD: Welcome to a very special, special edition to KHI interviews. I am today's host CD-Man and I'm joined by Max and today's interviewee Jeri, KitKat.
KitKat: Hello.
Max: Sugar Lips when you voted for her.
CD: Yes, that's what her name was.
KitKat: Well yes, but only for perhaps a month or a year. I forgot how long I had Sugar Lips for.
CD: Good chunk of time, I think.
Max: So uh, wanna introduce yourself real quick, tell us a bit about yourself before we get into the questions then?
KitKat: Uh, I really have no idea what to say. I'm kinda freaking out right now.
KitKat & Max: *laughs*
Max: You're among friends. No need to freak out.
KitKat: True enough. It's just that I've never done this before. So naturally I'd be nervous. But nope, I guess I got nothing really interesting to say.
Max: Here, I'll introduce you. She's the woman of a thousand names folks, she presides in the creative corner and everyone knows her by different names. Friend to all and she's taken folks. Yeah.
CD: Friends to all and enemies to none.
KitKat: *laughs nervously* Oh gosh.
Max: Yeah, something like that. That's true enough.
CD: Okay. As you can tell, we're not going to be very serious throughout this. Uh, it's just going to really chilled.
KitKat: Ah, that's perfectly fine. I'm all for being silly, ridiculous. Whatever.
Max: We did prepare slightly.
CD: Yeah, we have like a few questions. These questions were asked about a year ago, I think. Let's see. Uh yeah, exactly one year ago!
Max: Nice. It took us a year to do this.
CD: July 20- July 30th, I think. July 29th, was when these questions were asked. And it's July 4th.
Max: Oh, so it hasn't been quite a year then.
CD: You wanna round up? C'mon.
Max: I'm giving us a little more credit, it didn't take us quite a year.
CD: It took us like- most of the year.
Max: *laughs* Let's, let's jump into the first question, alright? Um, well first of all, how would you like us to address you in this interview?
KitKat: You can refer to me either- actually you can refer to me by pretty much any nickname or by just my name. I'll answer any of it.
CD: I'll just call you, Jeri. Makes it easy.
KitKat: Okay.
Max: Okay so, first question was from King Sora X. What originally drew you to roleplaying or writing in general?
KitKat: Hmm, well for roleplaying, I was kind of in a very strange place- because I was writing first, long before I joined KHI and I was terrible. And I was really into Naruto at the time but, I joined kingdom hearts insider- or just KHI. Eventually I got bored of writing and so I figured I'd try something different, so I went with roleplaying for a bit. And now I was l like, I had no idea what I was doing part of the time but, I thought I'd do something new and I was offline for a bit. Because *insert tiny voice* I secretly had an alternate account at one point, a long time ago, like a really long time ago because, I was- I dunno, I was just really weird.
CD: You heard it here, folks.
Max: Its okay, I had a secret alternate account-
Max & KitKat: *abrupt laughter*
CD: The lot of you two! I'm pretty sure it against the rules. Shame on both of you.
KitKat: But I didn't touch my alternate account in like years! Oh I mean, I'm fine now. We should be fine, we're not breaking any rules now. As long as we don't use them.
CD: That's okay.
Max: I wasn't able to uh, take the two week banned. So I'm like, made an account
CD: Lets- okay, we'll just keep that secret between us three. And we'll be fine. Alright, so consider you were saying?
KitKat: I was saying...
CD: We left off at your alternate account.
KitKat: Well, I don't think I had really much more on that because I was using a different alternate account and I was roleplaying for a bit. And most of the people I was roleplaying with probably wouldn't remember me at this point, but afterwards I eventually went back to being KingdomKey and then, like a year later I think I started back into roleplaying or something- I don't really remember when I started back. Basically I opted to do both roleplaying and writing.
CD: Kind of a switch up. Switching between back and forth. And then this next question- oh you kind of answered this one. Rena asked did you get into writing or roleplaying first? And then she continues to ask, who is your favorite character to write for? I assume she means like what your character, favorite character to write as.
KitKat: Writing. *contemplates* Favorite character to write as? Can it count for either roleplaying or just writing in general?
CD: Yup, just whatever-whatever is your favorite.
KitKat: I really like writing as Zero. Which is a male character that I threw into the Arcana roleplay currently. He's always been part of roleplaying but I also like writing about him as a story and I haven't really written him that far, because he's kind of crazy and obeys, but doesn't obey and I have this really weird thing. He kind of has a best friend, who is both a rival and kind of a douche- *embarrassed* and I can't believe I just said that but, who's name is Kaz. I haven't done much with really either of these characters for a very long time. Oh really? *dog whines in a background*
CD: Got a doggie over there?
KitKat: Yeah, I have a Basset Hound.
CD: See now we're getting to the really important parts. This is, you have a Basset Hound and that's a big deal. *laughs* And then, finally from Rena.. *dramatic pause* cupcakes or waffles? And then she adds a very distressed face to it.
KitKat: Cupcakes. I'm sorry for anyone who likes waffles but, I really don't like waffles anymore than I like pancakes. Now, I'll always go for the cupcakes.
Max: Oh man.
KitKat: *laughs a bit* Sorry.
Max: I thought we had something special with the waffles.
CD: So, so cupcakes.
KitKat: oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Well yes, if it's Animal Crossing! Oh C'mon!
CD: You already made it your answer. You can't change it now!
Max: This is recorded, it's down.
KitKat: I meant it as a food, but not as a phrase! I like it as a phrase.
Max: *laughs continuously*
KitKat: You two are so mean. *laughs along with Max and CD*
CD: Sorry, but those are the rules. Cupcakes. Cupcakes to eat.
Max: Yeah, whatever. Alright, our next question is from Innerpeace. And this is an important question too, so think hard about it. What is your name, what is your quest, and what is your favorite color?
KitKat: Name, quest and color. Okay, like my regular name?
CD: *interrupts* Just answer the question!
Max: Yeah, yeah, we're the ones asking the questions here.
KitKat: Confused but okay. *mildly distracted* I guess as far as my name goes, I still don't know if this is my username or my nickname or its my regular name.
CD: Just any name.
Max: It's whatever you want it to be.
CD: You could give us a fake name. I don't care.
KitKat: Well, you already know my regular name and username, and you guys refer to me as Jeri- okay, I'll go with Jeri because Jeri is fun! Well, Jeri actually comes from a (*)story from a few other friends actually, Mite, Gram, MegaWallflower, and Lanydx Reborn; which we were in for awhile and I like this side character named Jeri. So I took it as my own, whenever I was in the chat or I just liked the name too much. *fighting off Basset Hound* So I went and stuck with it. As for my quest, I honestly have no idea, I don't really have much of a quest. I like to live day by day with a dog chewing on my toes. Oh sure.
[*Mite is the writer of Road Trip and the story we were inside of.]
CD: So you're not like looking for a holy grail or something?
Max: You never go... digging for treasure or anything?
KitKat: Only if it's in Animal Crossing. I haven't went looking for treasure or anything in general. I'm not that adventurous.
Max: You have quite the slice of life quest there.
KitKat: Yeah, I'm kinda a boring person. I mean, I read books most of the time... Yeah, I don't really have much going for me.
CD: What about your favorite color? That's got to be exciting, I'm sure. What's your favorite color?
KitKat: Honestly, I don't have a favorite color. But if I had to pick right now, probably be silver.
CD: Silver.
Max: oh, wasn't expecting that one.
CD: Not as exciting as I thought it'd be.
*dog growls*
Max: That dog. You guys crack me up. *laughs a little*
CD: I'll save this question for later. Max, you want to give your next one?
Max: Yeah sure, this question is from me. How many roleplays have you taken part in, if you remember, and do you have a favorite?
KitKat: I should've kept this in my head. I want to say its like around ten, maybe less than ten. But because people always asking me to join roleplays makes it hard to keep track of what ones I'm in. *grows excited* But my favorite, but my absolute favorite is CLASSIC.
Max: Yes.
CD: We didn't pay her for that btw. That's a, that's an honest opinion.
Max: It is the correct answer though.
CD: There was no wrong answers, but there was one right answer and that was it. So good on you. And then this last one, I'm going to change it a little bit.
Max: wa-wa-wa-wait, did you get that one I sent you?
CD: That's the one I'm talking about. Oh wait, wait, you're absolutely right! Uh, let's see.
Max: Because I stole one of your questions.
CD: Thanks for that. So in this question, are there any famous writers that inspire you to write? And that was from KSX. I'm guessing that's from King Sora X?
Max & KitKat: Yeah.
CD: I'm kinda good at guessing sometimes.
KitKat: Well lets say that, yourself and Max, I'd be inspired by. But maybe Sabrina, well she's now known as Annoyance. And I get inspiration from Mite as well. *couldn't entirely hear due to Skype difficulties and pretends all is well* (xD)
CD: See, I was expecting- well, published authors.
KitKat: Oh published authors.
Max: I'm happy that, um, you're inspired by us. It makes me feel good about myself.
KitKat: Well that's good. I like the things that you guys write. Naturally, I'd feel a bit inspired by both of you.
CD: See like, like I feel like that's crazy. I'm going to uh, steal a bit of your spotlight. I feel like that's kinda weird people are genuinely enjoying what we write. I just think that's weird to think about.
KitKat: Really? I think you guys would be ecstatic from having someone giving positive feedback or inspiration or something.
Max: Well, I don't see why not. It's just- *laughs nervously* Writing on a small time forum and someone being like, "Oh, I really like your stuff." Like wow, you know?
*dog barks in background, causing CD-Mann to laugh*
CD: Publish authors. Are there any you can think of off the top of your head?
KitKat: The only one that comes to mind is Cassandra Clare and she writes "The Mortal Instruments". Although, if I were being honest, I actually got more inspiration from Kingdom Hearts in general, when I first started writing. But then it twisted into writing Naruto fan-fiction for awhile. So- *pauses and tries to think* I just take inspiration from some things but try to make it original without trying to copy anybody or anything. Just try to write the best that I can.
CD: I think that's a good way of doing things. A lot of fan-fiction, you can change a few things to make it original instead.
Max: I mean, as far as being inspired by Kingdom Hearts or Naruto, those were things written by people as well. I mean, we asked about published authors but, all of it is written and entertains us, pretty much. It's written by someone.
KitKat: Exactly.
CD: And then, is this the last question, Max? I think this is that last one.
Max: I have two more.
CD: Shot gun those out.
Max: Alright, they're both from me. So, you've gathered quite a number of nicknames on the forums. How many can you name off the top of your head and do you remember how/why you got them?
CD: No pressure, but go!
KitKat: *laughs* You guys are so- oh my gosh. Okay, you guys know why I got Jeri. KitKat is from the candy bar, KingdomKey is cause I can't think of anything original-
CD: *interrupts and laughs* Wait, that's it? I thought there was something more deep to it than just the candy bar?
KitKat: It had two K's in it because KingdomKey, I used to be refer to simply as KK. So I wanted to stay with something with two K's in it and I was wanting to change my username. And my nickname actually came from a mod because of certain reasons, which was to annoy someone else I guess. And I went for it. So I was like sure, I'd take the free username.
CD: That's the best way to do it. Best reason to annoy someone. That's the best answer.
KitKat: But honestly one of my friends always says its false advertising and it annoys him half to death. So, I just roll with it cause I like it. Sugar Lips was because my sister found out my username was KitKat on the forum and I was paranoid she might log onto my account. But obviously she cant.
Max: Sorry to interrupt, but do you think anyone has ever googled KitKat and comes across your KHI user profile?
CD: *laughs*
KitKat: I honestly have no idea. It'd be pretty cool or awesome, but freaky at the same time. OH no, I never told anybody this. I'm on the KHI: chat there's someone else named KitKat on there as well, and it's weird sometimes talking to myself sometimes. Like it happened last year. I felt like I was talking to my doppelganger.
Max: Your evil plans.
CD: Goatee.
Max: With a goatee, that's it. Let's put a bunch of facial hair on it.
KitKat: Oh no, eww, no. No. God no.
CD: So let's see, you got Jeri, KitKat, Sugar Lips, and KingdomKey.
KitKat: Well, there is Princess Sugar Cookie. That was just for fun and one of you gave me.
Max: That was me.
KitKat: Let's see, were there any other nicknames...?
Max & CD: Sweet Stuff, that's right.
KitKat: I think that's cause I'm nice or something like that. I dunno why I got it.
CD: You gotta lot of sugar related nicknames.
KitKat: Could be because I like sugary treats. I mostly like chocolaty ones.
CD: How bad on the cavities? Do you ever get cavities?
KitKat: *flustered*
CD: This is part of the interview.
KitKat: Oh gosh, I guess so. I probably had a few. I don't know. I haven't been to a dentist since a little while ago.
CD: Well with a nickname like KitKat and Sugar Lips, you know? That's kinda unavoidable.
Max: I was going to say, I imagine you being a villain that's like too nice to be a villain and you're constantly eating candy. And it's just like, it's kinda scary, you know?
CD: She's so nice, what's going on?!
Max: Like "Aww, are you okay?" while you're lying there bleeding and she's taking a bite out of her candy.
KitKat: You guys are geniuses.
CD: Exactly. I think that's good. A good angle. A good way to approach this one.
KitKat: And that's the other thing I should've mentioned though. I can't write villains for the life of me. I might be able to for a short time... like with Kaz and Zero at most. I really suck at it.
CD: Just good people. Good guys.
KitKat: I can write good guys a little. But I don't like writing female characters all that much either. But I'm getting distracted.
CD: Yeah, you're getting distracted from the relevant questions. Instead of actual writing.
KitKat: Well, I can't help it if I remember these things but, okay. Other nicknames... oh, I was called Little Vanessa cause my grandpa would always call me that. Hmm, I guess someone has called me "Maria" once, but that was to shorten my user- regular name. But I didn't like that very much. I don't think there was much else, or can think of at the top of my head.
CD: Yup, that's okay. That was the question. How many you could name at the top of your head and you did exactly that.
KitKat: uh, okay. Go me!
Max: Alright, my last question unless I think of any more after this. I think we've discussed this once before, but it's important that we have it documented. How do you think the game of Animal Crossing will end? Do you think there will be a plot twist and will a beloved character die?
CD: *laughs*
KitKat: *laughs* Oh my gosh, I can't believe you brought this up again.
CD: This is meat and potatoes.
Max: This is important stuff.
KitKat: Well yes, the game Animal Crossing is important. But I doubt it'll ever end and go on a continuous loop of infinity; given all the games that come after it. *grows excited* I really don't want Goldie to die! That's the only character I don't want to die on Animal Crossing and I care so much about, but I never get her. Unlike in the old Animal Crossing games I got her.
CD: So the world could burn as long as Goldie survives. That's okay?
*KitKat & Max laughs*
KitKat: That or what's his name, what's his name...? It's the cat you meet on the train, but I can't remember his name for the life of me.
CD: Wasn't it Rover?
KitKat: Yes, it was Rover. I like Rover too.
CD: They'll just take the train together as the town burns.
KitKat: Yup, that works for me.
Max: I can already see the picture/cover of the game like with the town burning and animals running with like little sweat drops on their faces. And on the back of the case it says, "This wild world is going down because of Jeri."
CD: And that's okay, because Goldie and Rover escaped.
KitKat: Yeah, that'll make a fun game to play.
*tons of laughter overall*
CD: It'd be interesting. And this last question, I'm going to change it because it was mostly a joke question Max and I were talking about. So you read everything that gets posted on here, right?
KitKat: Yup.
CD: And every time you do, you post a comment and you give some positive reinforcement about it. Um, was there anything that you've read you didn't actually enjoy reading whatsoever and you felt like you had to make a positive comment about it? You don't have to name anything, but feel free to name anything.
KitKat: That seems like a trick question.
CD: You don't have to name anything. But it'd be awesome if you did.
Max: You could give a fake title... for example-
CD: You name anything except my stuff.
Max: Toaster Oven Pancake.
KitKat: *laughs* oh my gosh, well uh, no, your guys stuff is perfectly fine. Okay, for example there was one in particular I didn't care for reading and it featured... what was it... It's like not Rune Factory or Harvest moon- it was no, Haruhi Suzumiya or whatever. Although this person kept deleting there stuff for awhile and I got tired of having to read it all the time and leave positive feedback because, they'd ask me to delete it months later. But I continued to do it anyways because, I'm nice and I feel like that's my job too. To give positive feedback and show that I care, cause I really do care what people write and I like to see what ideas come out- inspired or it just matters a lot to me. And like compared to when I first joined the forum, it took awhile before anyone commented on my stuff, but I was happy when they did. So I take my positive feedback and kind of want to give it back to the people who write now; cause I enjoy seeing everyone happy from it. *stretches*
Max: You're such a good person.
CD: Yeah, I was going to say, you're like the only person that reads everything.
Max: Reads everything.
CD: And I've thanked you already. And other people should thank you as well. That being said, this is the actual last question. No, I cannot ask you that.
KitKat: Hmm?
Max: Go on, go on.
CD: Max, do you think I should?
Max: Yes, it's an important question.
CD: What is the worst section on KHI and why is it the Fan-Fiction section?
KitKat: Wha- Why? But- No!
*more laughter from CD & Max*
CD: What are your thoughts on Fan-Fiction in general. Because you've said yourself you started on fan-fiction and I've started on fan-fiction as well with Animal Crossing. I don't think Max- Max did you write any fan-fiction?
Max: I don't know if you guys remember any of the terrible- terrible stuff I write.
CD: That's right! Your awful Kingdom Hearts story.
KitKat: It wasn't awful.
CD: We've all had beginnings of fan-fiction, what are your thoughts on that and people that start on fan-fiction? Should they stick with it or should they move on? Or what are your thoughts on fan-fiction in general?
KitKat: Hmm, well fan-fiction in general, it's kind of like a great thing because, it's like say like a movie you really like ended and because you didn't like the way it ended or wanted it to keep going; you can just keep writing it and build onto it, the story you love so much that never really ends. So I think that's kind of a cool thing. There is bad fan-fiction and there's good fan-fiction, if you look hard enough; it's easy to find and people care about that world, even if it's not originally there's but, I think it's great that you try to be apart of that universe for a short time or even a long time. But they should try to go onto their own original stuff unless they love it that much. I mean, there are people that enjoy writing fan-fiction, myself included. I just think it's good overall and I have nothing against it, I know some people don't think it's good or worth going into or it's wrong for whatever reason, but if you love writing it, then you should write it. If not, then that's perfectly fine. Or if you want to eventually write onto your original stuff, that's great; getting inspired by the worlds you tried to take part of. Basically, just take inspiration from where anywhere you can- actually just write. That's what really most people will say that you should do, just keep writing no matter what it is, just write.
CD: See, I like that. No matter what it is just write something.
KitKat: Exactly.
Max: That felt very emotional, I feel. We're not just being silly. I felt like I was watching the ending of Pay it Forward or something. I feel like people should take something away from that.
CD: We took the dumbest question we had in our hold interview and it turned out to be the most romanticized answers.
Max: We got the best answer out of it. It was awesome.
KitKat: Okay, well that's good. I did get a little emotional about it because, I do like writing it and I still like reading fan-fiction from time to time. Depending on what it is, so... yeah, I might have a strong reaction about it.
Max: Technically, as much as CD and I can tell people we dislike fan-fiction, we do it all the times with role-plays, goofing off in Animal Crossing-
CD: Just yesterday, we were saying about fan-fiction and I turned and said, we're saying all this mean stuff about fan-fiction, and yet, we're literally writing fan-fiction, you know, Persona and Sword Art Online on the forum in the role-play section.
Max: Exactly. I mean, it can be a fun thing or a good thing, like you said if it inspires people why not, you know? Write what makes you happy, write whatever, you know. We've all started there.
CD: Just write.
Max: Just write.
KitKat: Yeah, that's a good motto, slang, mantra...nah, um... I don't know.
*CD & Max laughs*
CD: Max, do you have any other questions you thought of?
Max: I had a couple, I don't, I don't really remember what they were though. I didn't write them down, I guess so, because, I got absorbed by the moment.
CD: I don't think I had any either, but, just because we got done with the audio interview doesn't mean you're out of the woods yet. Because if anyone else has any other questions, they can just write it out on the forum for you to answer.
Max: Exactly.
CD: Which you are legally obligated to answer. I'm pretty sure that's on the terms of service contract you clicked on when you first joined the forum.
Max: It doesn't matter how ridiculous the questions are either.
CD: You got to answer them.
KitKat: Oh dear. Okay. I'll do the best I'm capable of.
Max: Someone can pop in there, be a completely new user and have no idea who they are-
CD: Yeah, what's up?
Max: and ask about your finger nails.
KitKat & CD: What?
Max: You might be creepy out but that's the responsibility you took.
KitKat: Okay, but what about fingernails, I don't get a tad bit what that was about.
CD: Yeah. I was confused too. What was that about?
Max: It was just a random example. A creepy random question.
CD:Well, I think that's going to be it, unless Max can remember one of his questions?
Max: There was a question about original writing, but it was just, I don't remember what it was.
CD: I guess you'll just have to write it out later.
Max: Yeah, I mean it could've been simply asking how you feel about that opposed to writing fan-fiction. We clearly know you think people should write what they want to write.
KitKat: Yeah, that kind of covers it. I mean, I don't think I'd be able to go into full depth on original vs. fan-fiction, since I like both.
CD: I like it. I could do that easy. Alright, Jeri any final thoughts to listeners or to us?
KitKat: I guess, thank you all for picking me and for wanting to hear about me. I'm sorry I'm not the most interesting person in this world, but it was awesome doing an interview with two really awesome people. I had a really good time being interviewed. Thank you, Max, thank you, CD. You guys are awesome.
Max: We apologize for taking a year to schedule this interview.
CD: We could actually, make the argument, that it took the entire year for us to plan all of this out but we'd be lying, because it actually took two days. Wait, it actually took up one day, didn't it?
Max: Unless you make the argument that the fact it was officially planned out yesterday. It did take all that time.
CD: We did a years worth into a single a day.
Max: Mentally prepped, mentally there in the zone.
CD: All this really expensive recording software.
Max: I'm broke now, I'm just saying. Ah, shut up.
*CD
KitKat: I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you guys to be broke. I'm sorry.
*laughing all around*
CD: It's not your fault! We're just broke! That's a good note to set off on.
Max: I'm just broke because, I work in the school system and they don't make any money.
CD: That's life choices. But I think, before we get any further off topic that's going to be, the end of this. So thank you everyone, thank you everyone for listening, this is CD-Mann, Max, and Jeri-KitKat with a very special interview. And hopefully you'll hear from us again. This was very fun. And I'm sure you enjoyed it, but I hope you enjoyed it.
Max: And CD is rambling.
KitKat: That's a perfect solid ending. That's like a really good selling point, you should be a comedy- not a comedy a spokesman person you're really good at it.
CD: Really glad you said that, but nah. Anyway, goodnight everybody.
Max: Goodnight folks.
KitKat: Bye.
