Spoiler Show
Supernatural: The Mushi-Master
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this challenge. I was so excited that I read through it right away. You nailed Sam and Dean extremely well. Gosh, I couldn't stop laughing at Dean for hitting on a one year old. I haven't actually watched any of the seasons with Cas in it but, it was great seeing him bring Ginko though. I was extremely pleased how both parts turned out. I liked the method they used to return people back to normal with something so simple as Tylenol. Weirdly enough, I felt a little sad seeing Ginko go. Overall, it was a fun read that I smiled throughout it the whole entire time.
Sleeping Beauty HISHE
Outstanding. I don't know what to make of the ending. Could Prince Phillip and Aurora be living through a nightmare and not know it? To think, Prince Phillip gets stabbed by Maleficent at the end is shocking to the core. The fight scenes itself was splendid. Not a single word wasted in describing it. I felt like I was actually there as the fight took place. I was pleased by how it was done. You have a great imagination, Chibi.
Appreciate: Musical Continuum
I felt my heart break for Zoey. The two performing on stage was fabulous. I love how they addressed the crowd before they started performing. I kind of felt like crying because, it was quite touching for Crystal to hug Zoey as she kept apologizing to her. To be honest, you make these characters come alive and it is a joy, an absolute pleasure getting to read about them. I really like how it ended on a more happier note. And you're quite right about Ben and Jerry being a girl's best friend. I loved the music you chose for this story, CD-Man, and the "I'VE GOT BALLS OF STEEL!" text message. Makes me think of Saito.
KHRULER: Never judge a book by its cover.
My first impression, "ooh, that's not so bad. A book isn't that dangerous." Then I read some more of it, "I-I take that back." Yeah, you took me by surprise having vines come out of a book and rip a girl's tongue out. I actually winced at the mental picture of that. Quite horrifying. Kind of makes me think twice about what kind of books I get online or from a library now. Luckily, none have proven to be harmful thus far. [I ended up giving your story a title, since it kind of needs one.]
Love is a big deal
The title fits this story perfectly. I wouldn't of imagined Sora feeling inferior to Riku's height and older appearance. Even more so, how Riku is more of a bully to Sora in this one. I was thoroughly pleased how you kept Sora in character and had him use his mind to get ahold of that potion. I laughed at the warning label on that beaker of potion. I actually think Mr. Chuma isn't such a bad guy after all for a scientist. I had a "Aww, that's so sweet." moment with Sora being mistaken for Mr. Baker and finally being spoken to by Kairi. I like your take on a fluffy story.
200 Words or Less: How to Train your Dragon 2
I felt really bad for Toothless. I haven't seen the movie but, I hope this isn't how it turns out by the end of the movie. Hiccup and Toothless are suppose to be a team, buddies, best of buds and all of that good stuff. I actually kind of forgot who Stoick is. Regardless, you told this scene really with within two hundred words.
The Knot
Kind of horrifying. A child being deceived by a mere tree. Something about it gives me the creeps. In a good way, of course. I like how simple this story is without trying too hard. It makes me think that children are to naïve when, it comes to strangers these days. And now, I'm wary of trees with knots in them.
Our Time is Now
I wasn't sure what to expect when, I started reading through this... But I love how original this is! I like how they became fireworks themselves. It was like a right of passage for each of them to go through as they lit up the night sky. I like how the main character went through the motions of being nervous and frighten to semi confident and relieved as he went next. Beautiful. Exquisite. Both words come to mind as I think about the ending. I wish I could be a firework too.
Final Moments
I like how the man reflected on those he loved as he passed away. A simple errand turning into a tragedy is quite sad. Sometimes a selfish act can have dire consequences we don't see coming. That is the reality of our world though. However, I think it was sweet of him to try to make amends for what he did. It had a good ending, and that's what I liked most about it.
How it Could have Ended: The Stanley Parable - Full Confusion Ending
I feel disturbed. Mentally and utterly disturbed by this. I didn't watch the video because, it gives me motion sickness. [Any type of game like this will do it to me. ] As I read through this, I could feel the paranoia settling into the Narrators voice. What freaks me out the most is how he disappears at the end. Stanley being nothing more than a NPC wandering through an empty office without guidance from anyone... its creepy on so many levels that I feel my skin crawling. I dear say, Bravo.
(Battle)Field of Dreams
I like how you had a battle field of soldiers dying while having fireworks go off to represent them. A legacy most do not think of when, going to see fireworks, every fourth of July. Weirdly enough, its a good way to remember those who've fought for our freedom. The way you wrote it out was simply elegant and well done.
Courtesy Call
I nearly thought Kisara was done for! I held my breath as she was bound to the stake! I loved how you wrote this out. Everything was detailed in a beautiful manner that it flowed together nicely. I felt like I was reading an actual book as Kisara broke free of her bonds and took out the prison guards. If it weren't for the small hints, I would of been kept more in suspense. I like how she's kind to the girl they rescued and didn't blink whatsoever when she was fighting off Arach.
Hotel California~by The Eagles
A peculiar and eccentric story. It wasn't all that confusing. I thought the concept of this story was fantastic. There's something exciting and suspenseful about being trapped inside of a hotel of all places. I couldn't figure out if the man himself was alive or dead. I thought it was neat what kind of people were kept inside of the hotel itself. What was even weirder was the fact that he could leave. It had a good paranormal feel to the story and that's what I liked about it.
Endings
Pretty dark, don't ya think? Actually, I think its pure genius how fitting the title is with this one. Some people out there, really care about going out with a bang. Giving a grand finale for all to see and remember for years to come. To think inflicting hard on another being for vengeance would matter so much to this man. I'd hate to be in the victims shoes.
Untitled
Short, sweet and to the point. What I like about this one was, how the woman in distress would be so trusting of a cop. Anyone could dress up like one and do great potential harm to those who see them. Kind of funny and sad how true this statement is. At one point, cops were meant to be beacons of safety. So few are left like that way before being corrupted into a dirty cop.
Drawn to Life
This piece is a work of art. I give my sympathies to those out there that can't have kids. I like how you captured the moment. The woman may of not known what she was painting at first but, as she kept going...it was like her daydream or hopes were captured on the canvas itself.
The Room at the End of the World
This reminds me to some degree of the Last of Us. I never anticipated that the man would end up using the bullet for Emma at the end. A noble sacrifice he made so she wouldn't get burned alive. I think it was brave of him to do that but, also go through such lengths to protect her after crashing into her mother's vehicle. Like he owed her for what he did to her mother as he was trying to make his way back to his wife and kids. [Sounds awfully familiar to a similar challenge you did a little while ago.] It was good. You should be proud of this challenge you had done.
Acirema
I have to remind myself this isn't Zack Fair. It amuses me how much I think of him when, I see somebody trying to play the hero. I liked it a lot. Having Zack help protect and defeat the wolfmen from Riley. I feel like this story has great potential to be something more. I kind of wonder if Riley will look up to Zack or develop romantic feelings for him, once she figures out how to stand on her own two feet in a new world.
You Once Belonged with me
This gripped me right from the beginning. Unrequited love. Such a shame that she had to change herself in order to be noticed by him. Sometimes friendship is better than a budding romance that wilts after awhile. I kind of feel like I should protect this girl from hurting herself and from being used by someone that doesn't see her the same way. Relationships are tricky but, if you can come out smiling after experiencing something like this then that's more power to you.
Help Me Maybe
I howled with laughter upon reading this one. Poor Riku. Some crazy old keyblade wielder is asking for his help. This take on a song number was outstanding and hilarious. I like how different it is and how you put a spin on the song itself. Definitely a favorite of mine to read. [Next time, please use black. I couldn't read what you wrote down with the words colored in white until I highlighted it.]
Golden Brown
I never thought a person could become consumed by someone else on such a level. For a little while there, I had forgotten Golden Brown was a person. I imagined this person being addicted to a drug or perhaps even a car. I had lots of different ways of picturing this but, a person flipping your life upside down was amazing. I enjoyed this story a lot. I found it fascinating that a mere man would give up everything for Golden Brown. Never a frown. I like that.
Hope for Ice Cream
My top favorite story. I had no idea you could write something like this, Ethy. I fell in love with Isa and Lea mending their friendship over ice cream. You hit both characters dead on in dialog that I want this to happen in KHIII. It was perfect. Beyond perfect. I love Isa's witty remarks after reuniting with Lea. God, Lea being able to bargain with Isa over ice cream was awesome.
HISHE The Future Hope-Rewritten
I was impressed with this one. I like how Hope was literally the only thing standing between them and their timeline from destroyed. I know each ending didn't end on a happily ever after, so I'm pleased with this one turning out differently. I like that Serah and Noel could save Hope from being assassinated and could finally achieve piece. No longer being hunted for being I'Cie.
KHRULER: 200 Story or Less
At first, I felt like Kayode gained a stalker. Then I thought to myself, "What if he's her guardian angel? Perhaps making sure she gets home safely?" I had two different ways of looking at it and I consider it to be quite unique.
The Dark Begins to Rise
Vesper is quite a lot like Terra. Not giving up until the very end. Its too bad Styx won the fight against him. At first, I thought Styx might be Master Xehanort himself. Instead it turns out he has connections to the afterlife. I enjoyed the way this story was written. I like the brief moment Vesper had with Aqua as he looked out for her. Even though he couldn't do it before, he tried to do it in his wolf form. Kind of a sad ending to be honest.
Fingerprints
Aqua pleading for Terra to hold on was heart breaking. Learning the truth about what Vesper really is, must be really hard for Aqua to deal with. To think Vesper was a heart that's sole purpose was to look out for Aqua for ten whole years on Terra's behalf. The kiss Aqua shared with Terra had the biggest impact upon reading it. I wanted to give her anything to keep Terra alive. I really can't believe Sora, Kairi and especially Ven, couldn't give her anything to help save him.
Tonight It's Only You And Me
Absolutely touching. I like how this ties into the other two parts beforehand. Its almost like a gift Aqua gets to receive after being alone for so long. I know she had Vesper but, Terra was whom she loved most of all. Its clear as day. I like how Aqua trusted Vesper enough to not disappear for her to meet Terra for this one night. Or how Vesper would stay with her until she didn't need him anymore. Its like a breath of fresh air.
Fading Wonderland
Unique. I didn't know what to expect upon reading this. Alice losing her mind as Wonderland faded away was like seeing somebody lose their marbles. I sometimes secretly think Alice is insane. Perhaps she is a patient locked away somewhere? Either way, I like the mysterious name Lilith being mentioned along with Alice and Lydia.
Hey Brother
I wish this was done for the movie of Winter Soldier. It has much more impact compared to the movie. I like how we get some of Bucky's point of view about saving Steve or not. How he starts getting flashbacks as he dives into the water to save him. The ending with him calling Steve a 'Punk' made me smile a lot. I agree there is more to that shield than meets the eye.
Senpai Insurance
I feel slightly confused on what the point of this conversation was about. It made me laugh to some degree but, its still quite confusing to understand how it involves Zebras, the lottery and money. I like the ending of it the best. "Well, if that’s all you needed to say… Senpai Insurance. We DO notice you."
For YouThis was so good. I'd love to read this as a book. There's something about the way Tony taking care of Laurel that makes your heart feel all warm inside. I like how he's still there for her, even when she's battling cancer. I hope she beats her cancer because, its quite romantic to think about. I like how each character has a special flare of their own.
Bed Time Story
Gosh. I wasn't expecting that at all. Mickey and Minnie taking Mina in. I'm kind of surprised Mina didn't see the connection. A part of me thinks it has a bitter sweet undertone to it. BUT I love how that didn't stop Mickey from loving Mina. Furthermore, I loved how it was written from beginning to end. You capture Mickey really well.
Ira
The moment you mentioned Dante... boy was I excited and ready to read it. I like how Dante was going mad without his cigarettes and having a voice taunting him inside of his head. Lucas and Christa trying to look after him but, uncertain of how long or what good it'd do Dante was excellent. There was so much I liked upon reading this story that I wished for more of it to read.
Salt in the Wounds
What I wouldn't give to know about Shakou's backstory. Lea facing Isa was so outstanding and dramatic. Every detail you described was perfect. Especially on the weapons and fight itself. I was truly impressed by it. I felt so bad for Lea. It can't be easy fighting your own former best friend. Hoping he's return as Isa instead of Saix can't be easy, what with Isa being controlled by Xehanort. I feel like Shakou has a tiny crush on Lea though.
KHRULER: Friendship Story
Kind of a shame if, your friends grow apart from each other and the worst ends up happening to one of them. It reminds you how you should stay in contact with those you care about. Even if you make a lot of mistakes with or without them. At the end of the day, you can forgive and forget and still laugh about.
KHRULER: Avatar the Last Airbender Multiverse
I'm not really sure what to make of this one. Pretty much what happened in the first episode except for the part about a boy and girl appearing before Aang. Not sure if, they're Sokka and Katara or if they're original characters. I mean, I give you kudos for trying and you kept Aang and Monk Gyatso in character.
Balloon Squad Protectors
*rolls on the floor laughing my butt off* You actually wrote about me being chased by you with that silly axe of yours. I was legitimately frighten of you when that happened. Gosh, Casper sneezing all of you was hilarious. I love how you fell in that pitfall seed too. It was awesome. Yeah, I'm a bit of a neat freak upon seeing so many holes being dug up for treasure. Oh my gosh. You remembered EVERYTHING that happened that day. I like how you kept giving Rover your fruit though.
KHRULER: Kingdom Hearts III & Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns Crossover
Lightning's response at the end was the best part of this story. The Light and Hope took in Sora, Donald and Goofy was kind of funny. It gives you that impression of 'oh my god, maybe they're aliens!". I like how Light got some help from Sora to make it to Snow. I don't really know what happens in Lightning Returns but, I like what brief bits I've seen of it in this story.
KHRULER: The Cavern of Fire
Wow. The greedy king sure learned his lesson. A shame he didn't turn back while he had the chance. Kind of too bad for the remaining soldiers that survived return to a village with barely anyone left in it that wasn't dead. I like this because it was unexpected and different.
KHRULER: Zombie Apocalypse
The husband had a point. Surviving in this nightmare on your own would be too big of a hardship to bare alone. Its too bad he couldn't beat off the zombies long enough to give them more of a chance of surviving in a world that's on the verge of ruin. Kind of makes you think about what you would do if, it actually happens for real.
Rena's: Fluffy Story
I get the feeling little Rena is talking about Xiao. I know you didn't say names in this but, that's who I imagined was apologizing. I felt bad for her not seeing that sooner about him. There was something touching about her say, "It was all of those times with you."
KHRULER: Diamond Ring
Wow. I felt my mouth drop at this turn around. I can't believe Haley is in love with a criminal. Let alone that she got back with the guy that dumped her in high school. I'm kind of curious what lead to that break up. If it was about John being a criminal or not being a good enough boyfriend, or god knows what else. It was a really good fluffy story.
The Jog
You summed it up quite well. Title is really fitting for this one. I like how they ended up with ten minutes to spare. Quite clever of you to add that in. Definitely captured what its like to go jogging and pushing yourself past those limits. Hmm, not sure if its true or not about looking down at your feet and losing breath from it.
Day Zero
More Zombie Apocalypses! I like how you described everything extremely well. Thus making it flow nicely as you told the story and the remark about preventing an actual zombie apocalypse was amusing. Yes, life is oh so dull if, there aren't zombies on the loose. I for one do not want that to ever happen in real life. The swat leader is my hero.
KHRULER: Package
I wouldn't of imagined Zack being caught for carrying a package he was paid to take with him. You sure do know how to give us a twist. Definitely what makes this story shine so much. I'm kind of curious if either of the two hooded men were real, or if Zack thought they were because, he was in denial of what he was really doing?
KHRULER: 4th of July
Fifty people lined up at a gas station certainly is mysterious to say the least. I like how Delsin was able to see his fireworks without too much trouble. I haven't been to Washington but, I would take his word on it for being the best. I think getting to eat BBQ and watch fireworks is the best way to spend the 4th of July.
CD-Man2021: Horror Challenge
I think what I found creepy about this was how they found of the fellow member's of the group walking about in a trance. I felt bad for the sole survivor of the group. In a way, its scary to imagine what it'd be like to be out in a forest at night with something with intent to kill you as their prey. I like how you described everything and started off with something familiar. I was amused at the ear pulling with the chef and Samantha.
Final Fantasy VII HISHE
Bravo! I love how you incorporated some of Loveless in this story. To think Midgar was destroyed by the Meteor after all. Sephiroth still remained victorious despite losing to Cloud. I like how his anger and rage was enough to pluck Aerith's essence from the Lifestream. I can't tell if Sephiroth is sincere about regretting the role he played with Genesis and Angeal. Regardless, I loved reading it and its probably my third favorite story to read.
The Dragon King: KH & Spyro Crossover
A lot has transpired in Spyro's world. Its been so long since, I've played the game itself but, it was like being reunited with old friends. What's awesome about this, is how Sora gets to play a part in helping Spyro find the Elder dragons. Sandei sure is cheeky with Spyro. Kind of flirtatious but, I like that a lot about her. Definitely a good match for Spyro, if you know what I mean? I really like how detailed this is without being too much. Hunter and Bianca, I don't really remember these two well but, its good to see Spyro has some friends to count on. All of the characters are spot on. Especially Sora. Not being one to doubt others. And wow, what a fight with Spyro and Sora going at it with Owen. I like how Sora gets to return someday to visit them again after helping to save the Elder dragons.
Scarlet Oak
Damn. This is pretty frightening. Its like you're actually there and the visual on what was being done was horrifying. In one way, it was written brilliantly. I kind of feel bad for the girl to have her wrist broken and torn up so badly. On the other hand, it was flipping creepy how the wife wanted to be apart of what Robert was doing. I like that she made it to safety except having to have a little girl's father die in front of their eyes. I hope she doesn't really go to jail for ridding the world of someone awful like Robert.
Payday The Heist: Dark Bank
Whoa. I had no idea these guys were in Gotham! I laughed at this part:I really enjoyed reading this because, it was great seeing them perform a heist. It had that mission impossible feel to it. I like everything there is about this story. I wonder if you had to do any research about the weapons you were using?“I think we can all agree that this'll be the last time we operate in Gotham, let alone get a contract from some psychopath in clown makeup."
Autumn Leaves
I'm not sure how to feel about this one. I was kind of creep out by the fact that it was his own mother he was talking about. Not sure what to categorize their relationship as. I think its a normal relationship and not the kind I was given a small impression of. Kind of laughable that I'd take it that way, huh?
You're Mine
I felt my heart break for the pair of lovers. I'm not a hundred percent sure if this is true but, had he married Sarah he wouldn't of had to go. Except I think I understand the real meaning behind this; you fight to protect those you love, even if its your destiny. You do it so they can live out their lives to the fullest.
Rise and Fall
I love your writing style. The way you describe everything is always different to some extent. It was enough to make me blush when, you describe some of the more intimate parts between Anne and David. For a moment there, I actually thought it was Death that was greeting him instead of Anne. Leaves me wondering how she died in order to see him on the battle field and take him with her? Perhaps love is the strongest of them all; not even war can stop a pair of lovers from being together again.
Shatter Me
Who knew Death had a handmaiden? I like how Lindsey has accepted her fate despite her body falling apart. Something about this is rather beautiful in a much more darker way. To think she's been doing Death's dirty work for so long after learning the truth of who she really was. In the grand scheme of things, I'm curious to see what will happen once her body truly gives out.
Classic 7: The True Story
This was FABULOUS! Who knew a red coat could cause you so much trouble? I like how innocent Bryer succumbs to a cannibal witch. All men should be wary of an attractive woman, especially if you're a powerful man. I really like the ending with Alice talking about Bryer's pants. I almost want to say there's a hint of disappointment in that. However, the true beauty of this story was, where you mention how the villain has to reveal their diabolical plan before attempting to kill the hero.
Rise of the Magnificent Seven
I'm impressed with this one. I simply love Dante. I'm glad he escaped from the hell hound and met up with Lucas. A chance meeting that might bring him and other halflings hope once, they grew old enough to take down the men that fathered them. I like this a lot. Definitely another favorite read of mine.
Light Up the Night
I loved this one. I have to wipe the tears from my eyes. Its so funny! For real, man, what have you been reading about Americans? My sides...oh my sides! This one was the best that you've done. What it must be like to be inside your mind with so much humor and comedy going on in it. Seriously. Where do you come up with this stuff? Thank you for sharing this story with us, man. Anthony knows how to go out with style.
Supernatural: Knights and Valor
Dean makes me laugh a lot. Him and cheeseburgers. Gosh. I wouldn't of pictured a pop up book being cursed at all either. The bickering between the two brothers was nice and so like them. I imagine you really like Supernatural a lot. It was amusing to hear what kind of stunts Dean pulled in comparison to Sammy in order to get caught by the Black Knight.
Rena's Multiverse
Poor Aex. Rena sure is a trouble maker and a bit of a handful. I laughed at the mental picture I got of Phil spitting a glass of water. I wouldn't of expected the Platinum Match to be up against the infamous Sephiroth. To think it only lasted five seconds and Rena was already wanting to go it again. I love this story. Its awesome.
Rena's Song
I'm glad Rena is there for Aex. Nobody should hold their grief inside of themselves like that. Its too heart breaking. Rena is really sweet despite her carefree attitude about some of the more dangerous and questionable things that she does. I really enjoyed it a lot when, she picked up the necklace and handed it back without looking at it. Knowing how important it must be to him.
KHRULER: Ice Rink Three Day Challenge
It had an easy going vibe to it that I liked a lot. Something about making your dreams come true after getting hit on by a guy and then sticking with it. Practice can certainly go a long way. A little odd that she could ice skate unnaturally but, some people are born with the abilities they didn't know they possessed. Overall, I like it a lot.
Heart...What?
I did not see that coming. I laughed at Dean's reaction of Sora and Riku describing the situation. Nothing like good ol heartless and two people from a whole other world to throw you off. I'm amazed that not even Cas knew who they were. It was sooo good. I liked the way they handled the phantom dog too.
The Walking Dead: At the Crossroads
Everybody loves Daryl. I wonder if he'll ever find love? I mean, he and Clementine worked well together as a team. A shame they had to go their own separate ways after Clem found the people she was with. Those two did good against a bunch of walkers though.
We've All Been There
Creepy. Oh so creepy. Its true that most of us have probably been there. Terrified out of our minds at night when, we're young and restless and suppose to be sleeping. I don't know if its a figment of his/her imagination about the cold body laying down next to him/her in bed though.
Demons
I enjoyed this story immensely. I like how Riku got to connect to Dean about being good. I didn't anticipate this being one of their dives. Its weird to think Riku and Sora ended up visiting our world to find the keyhole and help lend a hand to Winchesters. You made two different universes go extremely well together. It truly took me by surprise and it was a pleasure reading your stories, Dream.
