Tetsuya Nomura is an alumnus of Tachioka Toyokata (high school) in Kochi Prefecture where he has participated 11 times in "Manga Koshien" (a manga related event held by the school), the most times of any participator. Nomura chose to attend the school within the prefecture which offered only art related courses, and it took an hour by bus or train to get to there. His adviser in the department, Tateki Sofue, had shown him a collection of artwork by Yoshitaka Amano, so by the time he was a senior in high school, he knew that drawing "the world between possible and impossible" was what he liked. It's an interesting perspective on artwork! Nice to see what Nomura is up to during his in between work times. Hopefully he'll be announcing something Kingdom Hearts related soon!
