Rumor Returns: Kingdom Hearts 3 for Wii?

Don't you just love juicy rumors? Hype for the yet to be announced Kingdom Hearts 3 seems rampant, and this month has been no different. With E3 just around the corner and a slew of gaming events in the following months, Kingdom Hearts speculation has gone wild. Nintendo Power Magazine, one of the largest Nintendo related magazines in North America, provides a hint for the cover story of their next issue (pictured above). It appears they did so in the form of a riddle, and fans believe that signs point towards Kingdom Hearts 3. So just how do some believe they "cracked the code"?

We'll kick off the next 20 years of Nintendo Power with more big reveals, including a top-secret cover story fit for a king. It's got a lot of heart. Just kidding. It's Mother 3. Just kidding. Please look forward to it.

So what does KHInsider think of all of this? It is likely false. Not only do we have three Kingdom Hearts games already on the way, but Square Enix has made no mention of a Kingdom Hearts 3 anytime soon. The possibility of this game being Kingdom Hearts is slim to none. Do not get your hopes up. Although, a Kingdom Hearts title for the Wii would be really interesting!

k, i just got a wii, but am a ps3 fanboy. SO, when i first heard this rumor, i was fighting for it not to happen, but now that i have one.... i changed my possition and can't wait for that. My opinion

That will be awful because I have bought a PS3 for KH3 because I tought they would stay on PS so please, no KH on WII but on PS3 >_>

as i was net surfing i was looking for a release date for kingdom hearts 358/2 days i didnt find it but i found something a lot more interesting...

There is no release date for the ps3.There wont be another one for the ps2 though.No release dates for any future games of kingdom hearts.Here is a list of them.

I have got both a PS3 and a Wii and I'd personally like KH3 to appear on the PS3 rather than the Wii. Hope they announce it only on Sony systems, I like them much better than Nintendo and Microsoft ones :D

Ya know, a KH game for the Wii as a April fool's joke in EGM last year. They said that Sora woud be fighting along side Nintendo characters instead of FF/Disney characters. If you take a minute to think about it, that isn't a too far-feched idea, and it would be some thing 'fresh' for the series. But if that were true, then the game wouldn't be KH3, but some other sort of storyline in some other 'nintendo' universe.

Just looking a the picture, it screams Fire Emblem 1 remake for the ds (to me at least), but if it does have to do with KH, it will most likely be a full story on 358/2, not on KH3, but I have a wii and will get a ps3 so it will not bother me if it's on either one!

Making a major kh game like KH3 for the Wii would be terrible the Wii consle is too crappy. Their disks don't have enough space, the controls would be awkward and the graphics will be bad. They might make one side story game for the Wii (since it is a poular consule), but a major high-quality KH game lke KH3 would have to be on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Other games like GTA 4 resisted the Wii's market in favor of a good gaming experience. Square Enix should do the same with KH3!

...where does it say anywhere on the magazine (or more specifically, the riddle, for that matter) that it would be for the Wii? Just because Nintendo made the Wii... jeez. Square Enix, while known to jump platforms (they're doing it to put Kingdom Hearts on the Nintendo DS, and did it previously on the the Gameboy Advance for CoM), sticks to Sony and Playstation sytems more for their final game releases - therefore, if there was going to be a 'Kingdom Hearts 3' it would likely be on a Playstation system.

Even more likely? Considering how long it'll take them to finish the games that are already in production - it'd be for Playstation's next released platform. They just came out with the PS3 and the PSP, it seems, but what do you think they'll be doing in another five years?

I don't think it's the Fire Emblem remake, because they talk about it in the News section of that issue. I don't think it's a KH game because they follow it up with 'just kidding'. If it is KH it will be 358/2 days.

Lol i sold my wii and bought a PS3 for KH3 as well >.m making it on PS3 rather than wii, I really didnt like my wii, it got too boring too quickly, its just a party gimmick.
If square enix wanna stay serious they better stick with sony or there just gunna die in a ditch lol.

i'd be cool with it. the only thing the other two next gens have over the wii is visual power, which isn't really something the kingdom hearts games have ever stressed. and the wii's are selling like crazy wherever they appear on a store shelf. not putting a major game out for it would be nuts on square enix's part.

am I the only person on this planet that realizes that the game would be tons more fun if they took advantage of the wii's controls? who fucking cares if the graphics aren't as good as the ps3? they're still better than the PS2, and I'd rather have an 'inventive' gaming experience than a 'pretty' one.

As a business, it is your job to sell your product as much as possible to get the most money out of your product. In video games, its cheap to reproduce a disk, but expensive to develop.

The PS2 was the popular choice of the last generation. Having a DVD player at a reasonable price really helped put it in every home. The PS3 is expensive, for the luxury or hardcore gamer out there. The Wii however is the popular system now, and appeals to families. Guess who Disney appeals to?

Because of this, it isn't far fetched for Sora and the gang to appear on the Wii. The Wii has never been about graphics, though it does have some good ones, and can rival the PS2. The game could be easily mapped to a Wii Mote / Nunchuk set up. It could be terrible controls, but it could also be GREAT controls. Oh, and there IS enough disk space, just as much as a 360 or a PS2.

It seems to make more sense to put KH3 on the Wii. On a casual gamer side, the Wii is the best, hardcore, well, that depends on the Genre. Viva la Wii
