 Nintendo Company opened a conference in Tokyo today by announcing their newest platform, the Nintendo DSi. The DSi will become available in Japan November 1st, 2008. Here is a short breakdown of the NDSi's features:
- Thinner than a DS Lite
- 3.25" screens
- Two 640x480 pixel cameras
- Higher quality speakers
- SD card slot for external storage
- GBA slot is removed
- Wii compatibility
- Downloadable content
- Black and White colors available
Whether or not Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is being built with this new system in mind and if it will utilize the NDSi's features are unknown. Perhaps the game will also release in a bundle package with the new platform?

In a promotional reel presented at the conference featuring the new Nintendo DSi, a short clip of 358/2 Days was played. Thanks to IGN.com for the footage. The text displayed in pink and white around the clip reads:

2008-2009 Winter Release
Don't be daunted by the 2009 date, this is more than likely a guess by Nintendo Company because an official date has still not been released by Square Enix. Notice that all the games featured in the 2008 section of the video had a set date with month and day. Since there isn't a set date for Days yet, they probably bunched it into the 2009 side to be safe. Expect a release date to be announced next week at Tokyo Game Show. If there has indeed been a date change, it's probably to take in adjustments from feedback received at the DKS3713 event last August. The result is a better game for us! We'll have to wait and see.
The news coming out of the conference will likely carry out the rest of 2008 since Nintendo Company is not in attendance for the Tokyo Game Show next week. Keep checking back to KHInsider for the latest information.

Hey guys, R-K here just letting you know that three 358/2 Days screens has been released from the Nintendo Media Summit. Nothing overly new but they are in a great quality. So, hit them up below.
