Think of what Oblivion means

Oblivion basically means forgotten, and this is Castle Oblivion, so it's second name could be the Castle of Lost memories. Plus we know Sora's memories become cards, and he need to find them, and while doing that he also finds lost memories in the process, like that girl Namine. Simple... if I could figure out what I just said...

The "new perspective" is Reverse Rebirth. After you win the game as Sora, you enter an entire different story mode where you play as Riku (This mode introduces Zexion, Lexaeus, and Dis)
