The first time around in the original Kingdom Hearts, you got to explore the Cave of Wonders and defeat Jafar alongside Aladdin to help save Jasmine. This time around in Kingdom Hearts 2, you get to explore more of Agrabah and join Aladdin once again.

In Kingdom Hearts 2, once you get to Agrabah, you begin speaking with Princess Jasmine. A short while later, the gang hears about Pete trying to bring back Jafar and in your attempt to stop him, you and the gang follow Pete to the Cave of Wonders. While in the Cave of Wonders, Abu steals a giant Diamond, which leads to destruction.
