Pinocchio

A wooden puppet brought to life by the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio is a curious and mischievous soul with no sense of right and wrong, hence Jiminy Cricket is assigned to be his conscience. In order to be a real boy, Pinocchio must first learn courage, kindness and honesty. As a reflection of this, his nose will grow longer whenever he tells a lie. Following the destruction of his home, Pinocchio drifts from world to world until he ends up within Monstro, finally reunited with his father. However, without Jiminy acting as his conscience, Pinocchio soon gets into trouble and falls prey to Riku's kidnap attempt. As a wooden puppet with a heart, Pinocchio is a miraculous anomaly, and Riku hopes that his heart would be the key to reviving Kairi. Pinocchio's heart is nearly taken from him, but Jiminy's compassion restores him to his former self. Pinocchio and Geppetto eventually escape Monstro and find a home in Traverse Town, where they try to piece their lives back together again. |
